First Choice Moving and Storage Inc.

To be frank, the service turned out terrible, prohibitiveably terrible, to the point that I will not use Angie's List to find movers again. The package was for 3 hours and then we had to go beyond those 3 hours, and the package gives a discount on whatever it is per hour, and then it was supposed to be $120 an hour after that. He tried to charge me for the 2 or 3 hours after that, plus the difference in the discount. So me buying the package early was like me not buying the package at all. Then there was some damage that happened and one of the guys was very agressive about it. They tried to charge me double originally. He gave me the bill and it was six hundred and something dollars and I said no, I have already paid for the first three hours, at $320. So, what he did was take the total and subtracted the $320 from it, which means it didn't wind up being a discount. I had to talk him through that, and he had to call the office and they had to talk him through it. It feels like more hassle than it was worth. When I had them sign for the damages, the company never called me back. It was maybe a month later that I finally called them and said this is on a copy of my sheet so it should be on a copy of the sheet they submitted. She told me she was so sorry that this had never come across her desk. She did send someone out to repair the hole and the dents they had left in the walls. She did make it right, but it was not my favorite experience. Definitely not MY first choice movers! There were a lot of short breaks that they took, like hanging out in the truck, and then when I peek around the corner they said they were just getting this thing that we have to pull out together. The whole thing - I would not recommend them to anyone. I would not use them again. We have been moved by military contracted movers, who threw our stuff in trucks and I would opt for those guys over these.
