 + 1 moreThe $3,500.00 was for his labor only. OVERALL we were very satisfied with Mr Belcher work and would have given all A's except for one thing. The last item to be done was a new kitchen counter. He was about 1/2 way through when he stopped. He stopped working, stopped answering the phone and stopped returning my phone calls. Mr Belcher had been paid to install the counter top. After repeated attempts to contact him we hired someone to finish the job. We ended up paying for labor twice and a long delay in getting it listed. Mr. Belcher is a hard worker, and excellent painter and handyman. I would recommend him. I would not recommend paying upfront or hiring him if you are on a deadline.
Description of Work: We hired Mr Belcher to paint a rental condo. The former tenants were there 18 years and heavy smokers. It required extra attention to get rid of the smoke and nicotine stains plus repairs that were long overdue. He patched drywall, removed stubborn wall paper, painted the entire unit, fixed the stair railing, replaced all switch and outlet plates, put in new ceiling fans, new kitchen light fixture, put in new front door and corrected the frame, installed new door locks and dead bolts, replaced smoke detectors, fixed leaking kitchen and bath faucets, and other repairs. He was able to do most of the repairs himself; some were quite complicated and he did a great job. If he couldn't do a particular repair he would get someone who could. He kept the work ongoing with no delays. Mr Belcher was working another job so he sent his paint crew to start right away. He would come by after work to check on things. When the other job was finished, he was on site everyday. He met us after work several times at the hardware store to advise us on different materials needed. He is very knowledgeable on products that would and would not work.

 + 1 moreHis name is Charles Belcher. I've used him 4 or 5 times in the past year. He showed up when he said he would. He normally has 2 painters but it was a small job so he did it himself. I bought the paint. He did a real good job and I was happy with him. About 8 months ago he did the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway. We have cathedral ceiling, which are pretty high. He did a real good job of suggesting colors that would accent each other. He is really good on coordinating colors. He used a 2-man crew for the big job and it took 2 days. He basically did the same thing as he did in the bathroom as far as sanding down everything. He didn't have to prime it and it looks real good. He did an excellent job and that's why I hired him again. A year ago he painted the garage floor with epoxy paint and that was the first time I used him. He is coming back to paint the shed and doors.
Description of Work: I used Belcher Painting & Pressure Washing to repair the drywall, prime it and paint my bathroom and all the trim. It was a big bathroom. He took all the fixtures and racks off the wall including the showerhead. He put tarps down on the floor. He sanded down the drywall and pounded in nails and smoothed it down. He put the mud down to dry and came back the next day to do the painting. The next day he sanded it all down and wiped down everything. He took the blinds off and used a primer. He cut it in and rolled the rest of it. He caulked the bottom and top of the tub and shower and windows. After he finished the painting he did the trim.
