Small Time Movers

We've hired Small Time Movers twice - once to move us from one house to another, and another time to move a piano and various other antique furniture from grandparents' houses to our house. They were great to work with both times - they arrived on time, were professional, took great care of our belongings, and got the job done without issues (including getting a 105 year old piano up a considerable hill to our house, and by hand, since they couldn't back the truck up our driveway). They offer a great service at a reasonable price, and I won't hesitate to hire them again!

The movers were great. They arrived on time for the pick-up and loaded the truck in a relative short period of time. They arrived in Charlotte a short time after my family did, and went straight to unload the truck. All the boxes and furniture arrived in tact; nothing was broken. They also assembled the bed and couple of pieces of furniture for us. I called Bill Thomas and thanked him for his team treating my wife and daughter in a professional manner as I was not able to be there for the move. I would definitely use them again for another state to state move. We live in the New York City tri-state area and were glad to find someone reputable to move our daughter to from GA to NC. We definitely recommend this company's services.

Both of our moves went very smoothly, thanks to Small Time Movers. During both jobs they took great pains to wrap and safeguard all of our belongings. The moves were very efficient, and stress free. All of the employees, and company owners, are very knowledgeable, polite, east to get along with, and STRONG. Great. After living in my home 19 years, we had accumulated a lot of stuff that had to be moved. These guys were friendly and were willing to go out of their way to help. There may have been a minor scratch or two but that is to be expected.

The movers were prompt although unfamiliar with the area and got right to work. They moved everything we asked them too (and even some boxes that my husband and I did not get to). They were very nice young men and we enjoyed talking to them. We didn't have any problems until it came to setting up the new place. They were supposed to move a very heavy tv into a cabinet and although I did remind them to do so, it did not get done. They had to take off some of the hardware on the front door to get the furniture in and did not reattach it. These were minor things but the worst one was I washed a load of clothes and when I went into the laundry room, there was an inch of water all over the room and starting to spill out into the hall. They did not attach the drain hose, which only had to be picked up and put in the drain hole, no work at all involved. It took my husband literally 5 seconds to do this. We liked the price, liked the guys, but they need to focus a little more on their work.

They arrived when expected and preceded to unload the trailer. They were careful not to damage neither our home or the furniture. We decided to have some of the furniture placed in the garage to be cleaned before moving it into the house and plan to have them back to move it when the cleaning is done. We are very happy with their moving service and would highly recommend Small Time Movers.

The guys were great, they were very professional and got there right on time. they worked very hard and ther ewas no wasted time.

I called late on Friday, August 7, to check their prices and availability for a last minute move. The price quoted was less than the price of the 2 other movers I contacted, and didn't have a separate charge for the truck, or a minimum of hours required. It was short notice, but after being given the price for the job and having read their excellent reviews on Angie's List, I hired them to move a bedroom suite, recliner, end tables, and washer and dryer, the following Monday, August 10, at 8:00, from my home to a storage unit about 5 miles away. On Monday morning, at 8:00 a.m., I received a call to inform me they were on the way, but running a little late and should be there by 8:30. They arrived about 8:20 and immediately began loading the truck, wrapping the glass carefully, covering all the furniture to be loaded, and putting the mattress and box springs in plastic covers, as requested. The 2 movers never slowed down, and had the truck loaded in less than an hour. We were soon on the way to the storage unit, and carefully unloaded and unwrapped the items, and had the move completed in an hour and 40 minutes. I would highly recommend Small Time Movers for any moving job, and would hire them again if needed. Very professional and smooth move. It was a pleasure dealing with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. They did an outstanding job. They wrapped everything and were especially careful with the glass. All of the items were left wrapped until they got them in the house to insure our privacy.I was extremely impressed.

They cancelled our reservation

We really enjoyed working with these people. We were called in a very timely manner to set up our move date. Very courteous on the phone. We got the special deal and it cost us roughly $300.00 for extra hours. We had a lot to move so we expected to go over the deal limit. Plus they let us know exactly what it would be and made sure to tell us of any additional charges up front. We were not hit with anything that we didn't expect. A cheap computer desk was slightly damaged in the move, but like I said it was partical board basically and the gentleman told us immediately that this had occurred and was truthful about what happened so we had no problem with this whatsoever. All other work was done wonderfully. No damage to house moving in or out. Hopefully this is our last move and we won't need movers again but we would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is moving.

They showed up on time and were very efficient. They did a great job and were very careful with everthing. They were also very helpful and I have used them again since.

the packing went great as did the loading. they delivered and got everything in the house and I thought everything was fine. Several days later I found a rip in my sofa and an a damaged antique cash register. I tried to contact them 3 or 4 times. I left messages and Mr Thomas never returned my call. I told him in the messages that it was about damages. Obviously they only want to deal with you until they get their money. If you don't care about the condition of your items went they leave use them. If you want things fixed if they damage them DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

They're really great, very helpful and professional. They really took care of our stuff. I would use them again in the future.

They were incredibly responsive to my email inquiry and were scheduled within 3 days to complete the work. The guys were extremely careful and efficient in their work. We really appreciated their positive attitude and how they made this as hassle free as possible for us.

Tim, Charles, and Eric were great. They wrapped everything carefully, moving it without damage down & up stairs. They were efficient and professional and courteous. We've worked with several movers in the past few years, and Small Time is really big time! The communication via messages on Angie's List was terrific -- incredibly prompt and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Although I always under estimate how long it will take for movers to do their thing (and this situation was no exception), I will say these guys had a solid work ethic and didn't have much down time. They worked hard and were very cordial and polite throughout the day's activities. In fact, I had a small pickup with a few things in the back and a chair came out on the interstate and these guys were in the middle of the freeway picking up my chair. I would use this team again in a heart beat, I was very satisfied with the overall product. Thanks for a job well done!

We got them off of Angie's List. They did a good job. They showed up on time. They really worked well with the reschedule. We rescheduled it three times because we weren't quite sure.

They moved the piano out of it's prior home to ours so fast and efficient that they made it look like it didn't weigh a thing. Even put it in the spot we had chosen for it.

The movers arrived exactly on time as promised, and loaded the first truck in about 3 hours. Once at the house they were extremely careful with the new floors, walls and put down floor protection before the first piece was unloaded. The workers (3) were very careful, very professional and courteous. Not ONE wall was touched nor was there any marks on the floor anywhere. They were really that good! The second load went equally as well as the first. All material used, trash, etc was removed and the total job was completed in about 7 hours. They worked very hard and efficiently; everything went better than I ever thought possible. I would not hesitate to use this company again, or recommend them to anyone.

The first time I spoke with Bill to schedule the move, he was very pleasant, friendly, and informative. I later spoke with his wife who was just as friendly and she ended up giving me a discount. Two men arrived right on time, exactly when they said they'd be there. I've moved many times and used many different moving companies and this alone was impressive because I've never had anyone show up on time before. The two men worked very hard and they were quick. They were very careful with all my stuff and the walls, etc. Nothing was damaged or scratched in the move. Again, in ALL of my previous moves with DIFFERENT companies, I have had at least one or two things damaged, so I was very pleased with this outcome. The two men unhooked my washer and dryer and hooked it back up in the new house and took apart the bed and put it back together as they said they would. Everything was placed in the house to my liking and they were done in exactly 4 hours, which is exactly what Bill had quoted me. I moved from a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath to a much smaller 2 bedroom 1 bath, so the amount of stuff I had was comparable to the latter. I have had so many bad experiences with other moving companies and have never had such motivated and hard working movers. Overall I was extremely pleased with Small Time Movers and I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much Small Time Movers!

The packing and moving crew were punctual, hard working, and showed a genuine concern for my belongings.
