The positive: AV Tile and Stone, or specifically work performed by Anthony Valencia, is well done. The craftsmanship is of a high quality. The negative: Almost everything else. A project estimated at 2-3 weeks, took over 6 months. Lack of communication and sometimes a failure to communicate honestly. Many promises to show up, perform agreed upon work, etc. that were not kept. When I first questioned why I would be asked to pay more than quoted, he immediately stopped work. I did not refuse to pay but simply asked for justification. Eventually, he agreed to sit down and we signed a new contract in an effort to finish up the project amicably. After all of the trouble to get to that point, the work was still not performed on time (it was still over one month later than promised in the "new" contract). The quoted pricing was exceeded by thousands of dollars without adequate justification. When questioned about failures to keep within quoted pricing, show up, etc., it was everyone else's fault and he became defensive and angry, rather than apologizing and cooperative. This was a terrible experience for me. I will not do business with A.V. Tile and Stone or Anthony Valencia again.
