Not only is the A/C Condenser, but now there is a problem with the expansion valve. I spent almost $3000 and everything Parton's did is falling apart. Is unbelievable how poor work was done by this company.
Description of Work: Expansion Valve put in with New A/C Condenser June 2016.

Sold me defective A/C unit.
Description of Work: Parton replaced the A/C unit just over a year ago. Problems with the unit started within 45 days. Had to have another reputable company fix a hole in the "brand new unit's" copper pipes. No the unit is acting up again. Parton does not honor warranties and appears to sell defective equipment.

Said I would need a new unit. I proceeded to get quotes. One company asked if they could look at the unit and said they thought is was still good but seemed low on freon. Said they would add the freon at no cost if the unit would not work. They added 2lbs and the unit has been working ever since. I feel Parton's never added freon and figured they could sell me a new unit.
Description of Work: A/C unit stopped working and Parton's was called for repair. The repairman checked it and said it was low on freon. He proceeded to add 12lbs at over $800.00 and the unit still would not cool. The unit had a 12lb capacity and no leak was detected.

10 years parts and labor service call for unit not cooling, the unit is only 3 years into contract... Partons stated it would be 300.00 dollars to fix because i did not have a yearly service contract with them.. The install contract reads 10 years parts and labor included and does not mention a yearly contract... I had Birds AC and electric fix the unit and it was all covered by warranty did cost me a cent... My take was that Partons was going to bill me and the warranty also and double down.

They literally soaked me. It was $220; I paid them close to $1000. My son had used them, it was just something minor and they fixed it. I just had bad luck with them. They sent a guy to check it out, and he replaced the thermostat, which I know didn’t need replacement. He put in a $95 thermostat; thermostats are not that expensive, but he had to pick out the most expensive one he had. There was nothing wrong with the old one, it worked before he got there. The only thing they did do was clean out the fan motor. The price was very high; the parts weren't high, but every time they came out they kept charging trip charge. I was very unhappy with them. They came right out. I would never use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Parton's Electric Heating & Air Conditioning for heating and cooling. They repaired a gas furnace.

I called on 4/8/2011 after hours and left them a message. After 3 days of 83 plus degree temps in our area, we realized our a/c was running but not blowing cold air. We had just purchased the home and the thermostat had a sticker with this companies information. I left the message that I needed a seasonal cleaning and maintenance along with a diagnostic due to a/c not working properly. I have Multiple sclerosis so cool is very important to me. A lady returned my call on Monday 4/11/2011 and we discussed our needs at that time. She told me the charges will be 60.00 for the seasonal cleaning & maintenance and 48.00 an hour labor for the techs time to test the system to find the problem. Also any coolant additions would cost extra, if needed. On 4/13/2011, the tech showed up late saying they had given him the wrong directions. He went outside to check that unit and also checked unit in attic. After 20 minutes or so, he reported to me that the outdoor unit was locked out on high pressure side, and he reset the board and it was working properly. To call if it acted up again. After 10 minutes the system again failed. I called and spoke with the same lady that I had been speaking to and she was so rude telling me the tech had just left!!! After 10-12 minutes of explaining that although the tech had told me it was working before he left, it had failed again, she finally and reluctantly agreed to call him and see if he could stop back by to check it. When he arrived, I apologized for having to call back. I went to outdoor unit with him and he hooked pressure hoses up to the unit and told me it did have a problem and it was a valve (txv) and I asked him how much that would be. He told me approximately 165.00 and it needed a filter and the had to flush the system, but that the part would have to be ordered and would take 2-3 days to get it in but it would be under warranty even though we were not the original owners because it had just been installed in 2007. I was surprized about that but he was sure so I asked him to please have them call me with an exact price before ordering the part, to make sure we could afford it. He agreed to do that after telling me that there was a service tag from another company on the system and that the office lady had finally found our job in the system, which he acted like was strange... A few hours later she called my husband, and told him that the part would not be covered under warranty and the total cost would be 340.00. My husband asked if they would have any warranty that the part would fix the problem... She told him no, that they could not warranty the labor but if the part didn't work they would charge us labor to take it off and put the old one back on. 65.00 each time. After my husband returned home from work, we walked outside and looked down into the unit through the top fins, and there were 4 wasp nests that you could clearly see. We were upset because it also was dusty and clearly hadn't been cleaned as I had asked for and paid for in full. This broke any trust I had for Parton's!!! My husband immediately called them back, and spoke to the same lady we had been speaking to during this entire situation. We told her not to order any parts or come back out because we had paid for cleaning, it was not done so how could we trust them to do anything else we paid them to do and that now we understood why the previous owners had not called them and had used another company for services even though they were installers. She said part had already been ordered and we would be billed for it and turned over to a collection agency if we didn't pay for it. She became very loud and angry and screamed that the reason the previous owners had not used them again, was they still owed them money!!!! So now I wander, were they trying to milk some of that money out of us??? Terrible customer service!!!! NEVER WILL CALL THEM FOR ANYTHING AGAIN!!!!
Description of Work: I called them for a seasonal maintenance service including cleaning and pressure checks on my york heating and cooling system, and due to a problem with the a/c system, to find out what was causing the problem.

They don't have it the first day. They were able to install it the second day. We were happy they didn't have to get it shipped in from some place. The service person was polite and prompt. They made contact with us before coming out to the house. It was a very comfortable working relationship. I think the price was about the going rate for the area.
Description of Work: Our heat system was down. They had to repair and replace the switch on the air handler inside the house. The compressor motor was also down. It is outside. They had to replace the motor.
