They could have advised me up front that they do not do this type of repair, and that would have been the end of it, but they chose to cheat me out of an unearned fee, knowing at the outset that they were not going to do anything to repair my unit.
Description of Work: After reviewing your reports, I called Mr. Appliance Tri Cities and asked them if they repair dehumidifiers. The answer was: We repair ALL appliances. I took my dehumidifier to them, and they charged me a fee ($45 plus tax) before they would check out the unit. A couplt of days later, they called and told me that they could not repair the unit, and that it needed to be recharged with refrigerant, which I already knew. When I went to retrieve the unit, I asked if they had tested the amount of refrigerant in the unit, and they replied that they had no way to do this. I then asked how they came up with the diagnosis. The answer was: We made a 'visual' inspection. I asked for a refund and they said: No, we don't repair dehumidifiers and we don't give refunds. So, they took my money, knowing that they would not do any repairs. Obviously, this is fraudulent behavior.

Panel failed due to Greeneville light and power ,, power outage in middle of oven cycle.Called Mr. Appliance. They came that afternoon. Took about 10 days to get part but when it arrived they came the.same day and repaired it in about 5 minutes.

Description of Work: We have used this company several times (for fridge x 2, dishwasher, and dryer). They have had decent turn-around time (can come w/in two days of call, usually). On most occasions they ran a little late but usually called. Decided to review them today b/c they were supposed to perform services for us but did not. I requested an AM appt but the night before service they gave me a time-frame of 12-1:45. This differed from what they told their service tech by over an hour. (The tech was told 12-3). Had I known this, I would have r/s to different day, but instead I waited around and nobody called to say he would be late. When I called the company they simply stated that there was one more service call ahead of me. (This would not only make him late for the window I was given but also late for the broader window the company gave him.) I have been satisfied with their work in the past (although it is a little pricey), and once the technician's have arrived they are polite and work hard to correct the problem. This is why I have not complained much about their lack of promptness. But after multiple visits for which they were late and today's when they were unapologetically late without even a phone call, I have decided to switch to a different appliance repair provider.

Mr. Appliance repaired my washing machine a couple of months ago. They did what they said they were going to do, in a prompt and professional manner. I am extremely pleased with their service, except they were a little pricey. I would be happy to use them again.

I would never use this company again, after spending $350.62 we are going to buy a new dishwasher making sure that Mr. Appliance does not have the maintenence contract.
Description of Work: We have a Fisher&Paykel dishwasher that had a F1 fault code, called Mr. Appliance, they showed up on June 2, 2010. The repairman found that the discharge hose had a crack and was losing water causing the F1 fault code. We requested the repairman to change out the front cover to white when they returned to repair the hose. On a return visit they changed the hose and installed the wrong cover, the repairman told my wife that he didn't know why the cover was too small, maybe your husband did something to the machine?? I called the repairman and infomed him the he had order the wrong cover, we had the large unit not the small one. On their next visit they sent a different repairman, one with very little knowledge of the dishwasher, to replace the cover with the correct one. He spend a great of time trying to get the cover on, in the process he managed to break the right clip that locked the drawer, rather than telling me he closed up the dishwasher and said that it was fixed. A few days later the F1 alarm came back in, we were out of the house, the motor continued to run burning it up. I call Mr Appliance requesting a repairman, I told them not to send the young man that came the last time, they informed me that he no longer was employed there. The orginal repairman returned and told me that the machine needed a right clip and a new motor costing $81.33, I had already paid $269.29. I told the repairman that I felt that his repairman had caused the problem, he didn't agree. By this time we had been without machine for over two months, so I agreed to pay for the additional parts. On Aug 5, 2010 the repairman installed the new parts, the next day the F1 alarm came back in, I called Mr. Appliance and advised them of my problem, Mr Arroyo informed me that the main circuit board would need to be changed, I informed Mr Arroyo that I was not going to spend in more money on this dishwasher and that I felt that they had provided me with poor service and that I wanted them to refund the money I had been charged. He refused, stating that he would come back and replace the circuit board at my cost for the board. I told him that I believed the root cause of all the problems with the machine was caused by his repairman.

Serviceman was prompt as arranged. The quote was $65 for the visit plus parts and labor. I thought the 5-minute popping of the disposal cap was expensive - cost was $85 plus taxes. I thought it was handled professionally.
Description of Work: Dishwasher wasn't draining. Serviceman came and immediately identified the problem (cap not popped off recently installed garbage disposal) and made the repair.

The service techs were excellent, extremely courteous, and the work seemed high quality. But it took 9 days and two visits from my initial call till repair completion. I made the initial service appointment for a Thursday afternoon, and they came out very late, about 4:30. They stayed two hours to diagnose the problem, which seems to have been done accurately. It also seemed to show commitment on their part. But by taking so long to come out, they didn't order the part until the next day, and so it took 5 additional days to get the part installed. We had to wash our dishes by hand in-between, which built up both character and dish-hands.
Description of Work: Dishwasher pump installed in 3 year old Kenmore dishwasher.

I called Mr. Appliance for a service call and we made an appointment. Someone would show up today between 8 & noon, and the technician would call me on his way to my house. That happened as expected; Jonathan called at 9:33 and showed up at 9:43 a.m. He fixed the problem, told me what to expect, and explained Mr. Appliance's 90-day warranty. While I was writing him the check he looked at my dryer to see if it needed any servicing as well. He was polite, respectful & friendly.
Description of Work: Jonathan diagnosed the problem with my 13-year-old Asko washing machine (the belt was off) and fixed it.

Found these appliance heroes in the yellow pages. Had no experience with anyone in the area related to appliance repair. They were able to come out the same day I called, Anthony diagnosed the problem quickly and ordered the parts. Returned yesterday to replace the part. All work was done quickly and efficiently. Very courteous, arrived on time. Very knowledgeable. Gave me some good info about the appliances to boot. Have no problem giving a blanket ringing endorsement.
Description of Work: Diagnosed problem with washer related to power surge. Ordered and replaced part.
