(1) Did not remove old liner, so mold and mildew still present. (2) Did not install dimple drain matting on complete crawl space floor, only 20% of flooring has dimple drain matting. (3) Did not seal off liner on floor or walls. (4) Standing water near sump pump, encapsulation not working as advertised. (5) Drain hose from humidifier does not go to sump pump, it drains between old liner and new liner leaving standing water between liners. (6) Sump pump not working properly, standing water around bucket that pump is sitting in. (7) Drain hose from pump is not connected to anything to drain excess water outside of crawl space. (8) Vapo fungus treatment did not happen or work, mold and fungus still present. (9) Did not seal off crawl space vents, ENCAPSULATION is a method where you completely seal the crawl space with a polythene barrier and sealing tape. Encapsulation involves removing all debris and sharp rocks, sealing all vents and doors and insulating with a thick plastic layer. This did not happen, I feel this has been a breach of contract by TERMINIX.

I would not rate Terminix as favorable. They were expensive. They didn't actually offer us more than quarterly servicing and if we needed extra servicing it was a big pain to get them over here. It was $51 quarterly and all they offered was termite protection.

Went well (as far as we could tell) until about six months. Then we found our declawed cat chasing a mouse about the house and we found a flour sack that was inside a zip lock bag, completely chewed into and flour spilled all over the top shelf of one of our kitchen cabinets with mouse droppings all around it. We called last Tuesday and were told a technician would be out the next day between 1-3 p.m. I planned my whole day around this appointment, and not only did no one come, but no one called either. I called to report this and was told that the route person would not answer calls and neither would a supervisor. I rescheduled for the next day-Thursday, and the same thing happened-no show-no call. My husband called this time and after about an hour of getting transferred to 3 or 4 people, was assured that someone would come out Friday between 8-10 a.m. Same thing happened again-no show-no call. We paid for this protection service in full and we are also paying yearly for termite protection-a policy which we took over when we moved in this house last August. I have never experienced such poor service from ANY company I have ever done business with. We are considering litigating this matter.
Description of Work: Supposedly mouse-proofed the entire house-inside and out. The guarantee is supposed to be for one year. We had this done in November of 2015 (7 months ago).

No matter what, go elsewhere. The management could not care less about the quality of service at this location. We contracted Terminix to complete a crawlspace encapsulation at our home. They began the work on 4/13, which included just pulling out the old insulation, and have not been back since, its 5/26. They left 1800 square feet of insulation sitting in my backyard since 4/13. They have repeatedly told me that they are coming out the next day to pick it up, yet here it still sits. I have been leaving messages at every level of management for weeks that the city is ticketing me for the insulation and Terminix has done absolutely nothing but make promises. They consistently pass the buck and make excuses on those rare occasions when I can actually get in contact with someone. And then they have the audacity to treat me as if something is wrong with me because I am upset about the situation. I have kids and pets who I have to be concerned about getting into this insulation, and neighbors who are extremely upset about having to look at it. I have literally spent hours on the phone on hold trying to resolve this situation. It seems as if absolutely no one at Terminix cares about anything but taking your money. They may be fine for basic bug services but for anything else, please save yourself a terrible experience.

I called Terminix to schedule a technician to come out the next day to terminate the ants that found a way into our home. The appointment was set for a two hour window. I cleared out my pantry which was quite the chore, and cleared out the area for entry for the technician to go into my crawl space. I picked my daughter up early from school so I wouldn't miss the appointment. No one showed up. No phone call either. I called Terminix to find out what happened and got no explanation after being on hold 4 operators later and a hour and a half wait time. Even though the operators were pleasant, the company wouldn't send out a different technician and told me I had to wait 24 hours for a different technician to come out. I wasn't offered a discount on the service to be provided for the inconvience of juggling my schedule and having my kitchen in disarray while expecting company this weekend. They have no company policy of guaranteeing scheduled appointments.

My problems began after the service was provided. I was not informed that it would take 2 weeks to issue a guarantee after service was completed. I contacted their customer service number multiple times. The people were friendly but useless. I would have preferred hostile but helpful. They have no way of contacting the local branches from customer service. They instead connect you to a liason who also does not have the local branch phone number. There is absolutely no flexibility in assisting you if you need a document quicker. They kept referring to their corporate offices and their corporate procedure. At one point in time the customer service rep told me he could not allow me to keep him hostage on the phone because it messes up with their call times. My final advice - DO NOT USE TERMINIX if you are a seller and need a guarantee for closing. Use a local company who still have a phone, cell or otherwise that you can contact if you need something quickly. Personally, I will NEVER use TERMINIX again for anything EVER! The absolute worst customer service I have ever been exposed to.
Description of Work: As seller of a piece of property I was responsible for remedying termites found on site. I contacted Terminix to handle the problem and was referred by the 800 number to the local office in Roselle NJ.

I received an invoice for annual termite certificate which continuously goes up each year $30-40 and in the past the technician would come to the house and look and leave. The previous visit in 2014 I had to ask him to actually look in the crawlspace for termites. So fast forward to this year and the invoice stated the inspection was conducted on 8/22/2015. This was a Saturday and I knew we were not home. Yet, the invoice said the technician went under the crawlspace and around the house and did a full inspection. So I checked the video system that was recently installed on the house and sure enough no evidence of anyone coming to my house. I called and spoke to several liaisons before getting to a regional manager. When I finally spoke with him he stated again the technician stated on ticket that he had shown up. Then I told him about the video system. He said he would need to follow up with technician. Never apologized. I asked to cancel my contracts for both pest and termites and a full refund which he said he would do. Actually, they sent the guy out for the inspection after this confirmation. No communication in this company whatsoever. One and a half weeks pass and I have to call back yet again. No refund has posted. I speak to another liaison and she states nothing has been refunded and no contracts cancelled. So she calls the regional manager again and I finally get a response that I will receive a refund in 2-5 days. I'm still waiting for the refund. This company never shows up on time and who knows how many times they have said they did and didn't. I later found on NewsChannel 4 WSMV a video of where the technician showed up and hung the invoice on door and didn't spray just billed and left. Ridiculous! Save your money and find someone else!

The technician stated on the electronic bill sent to my email account that he could not check two of the bait stations because I had a dog on a chain. I have not had a dog for over 15 years. In the past another technician (Kevin) would put the same thing on the statements and indicate he had provided service to my address, but actually had not done so. I reported this error several time in the past year to Terminix's online service (8/20/14, 9/18/14, 9/30/14, 10/30/14, and 11/13/14), but nothing has ever been done about it. Last year I told Kevin Simon about the error five times and he said he would have it corrected. He said he knows there is not a dog on my premises and it is obviously an error. It has never been corrected and all of the stations have not checked. I have also, stood at my door and watched a termite technician sit in my driveway, then leave without providing service (not the current technician Kris Anderson). He previous technician then sent an electronic bill to my account for services rendered. I reported that as well. Carla Loos and Marcus were really good termite bait inspectors. Maxcell Miller (the Pest Control Technician) does an outstanding job as well.
Description of Work: This review is for the Termite Service only. Update as of 8/3/2015: My concerns have not been addressed by Terminix as of this notation. I have contacted them twice since I first wrote this review. I spoke with Carolyn on 7/14/2015 at 6PM and Brittany on 7/23/2015 at 12:12PM and Rolanda (Customer Liaison) at 12:18PM. The agent was supposed to come out on 7/23/2015 between 10-12noon, but never showed up. I contacted the company and was told he was out of the state and they would reschedule the appointment. Unfortunately, no one has contacted me to reschedule or address my concerns. 8/19/2015 at 2:39PM Joel came out and inspected 6 of the 12 stations. He said, "they are a mess" and someone should have replaced them by now with their new product. The new product is a bait system and they only come out once a year to monitor the product. It would cost me $349 to replace the stations. He said that he could come out on Thursday 8/20/2015 and put in the new units. I asked why would I pay more for less? The current program is $299 for quarterly monitoring and I am not even receiving that service. I asked Joel if customers did not want to switch over is there an option to remain on the quarterly monitoring program. he said he did not know. Joel stated that he is the low man on the pole and can only do what he is told. Joel and I walked around the whole property and he could only find two units that were still in tact. He acknowledged there was not a dog or any evidence of ever being a dog on the premises. Joel said it was probably a wrong address. I called Terminix (1-844-204-0838) at 2:48PM and spoke with Customer Liaison Tanisha. She informed me that there should not be a cost for replacing broken units, it is a part of my contract, and that she would contact the branch office regarding the concerns. 8/20/2015 at 12:50PM John Hageman II showed up at my door. He said I was misinformed regarding the product cost. That I would not have to pay $349 to have the monitoring stations replaced. However, they will be replacing old stations with the new bait systems and they will only be monitored once a year. I asked him if the existing monitoring stations were still available since monitoring was supposed to be more frequent. He never answered my question. I asked him if he wanted to see the stations and was told no, I have seen many before. I asked if the crawl space would be inspected for termites since no one had done it since the initial inspection years ago. The first six months, we had a horrible smell coming into our master closet from crawlspace. Robert, at the local office (a manager?) told everyone there that I was a crazy person just because I refused to believe his excuses. Someone must have come out and corrected the issue because it was over by the end of October. This afternoon I received another bill from them after paying for the contracted fee last month to have the termite treatment done annually. The person I spoke with said that it was for termite treatment and separate from the encapsulation, What??? $240.00 more? Why would anyone pay for this s***. I can't get any call back and will be canceling this entirely. I know we got screwed by them & they had all the fun.
Description of Work: They sold us a crawlspace encapsulation package that included the termite treatment annually as well as check the crawlspace for any replacement of filters or adjusting the dehumidifier for $180.00.

Maxcell is the Terminix Pest Control Specialist for my area and he is AWESOME. He treats every room in my home, goes into the crawl space, under the deck, and in the garage. He inspects inside my cabinets, behind the refrigerator, stove, and other areas in my home. Maxcell also clears spiderwebs and wasps nests from around my windows, doors, under the deck, and garage. He then treats the areas. Maxcell is always punctual, courteous, and very thorough. He asks questions about possible concerns and addresses those areas as well as any he may find while inspecting my home. Maxcell also explains which chemicals he will use to treat my home and tells me why it is needed. I highly recommend Maxcell as a pest control specialist. Concern A: The administrative part of the company has a tendency to not credit my account correctly. I pay in advance and I have had to contact them several times to get them to correctly credit my account. Most recently, I ended up paying an additional $81 for a service that was still under contract because the billing department had erroneously credited my payment for pest control to the termite contract. Terminix acknowledged their error, but I still ended up with a bill. Concern B: The Terminix plans are increasing by at least $6 per visit, but the number of service visits will decrease (according to their bait/termite representative). Maxcell is GREAT and he does an excellent job. However, I am not sure the plan will be cost effective if the services are reduced.
Description of Work: I have two plans with this company (pest and termite control). I have used them since 1999. I pay an annual fee of $300 for each plan, totaling $600 a year (which includes a 10% discount). This review is for the Pest Control service only.

I would not recommend them. They’re terrible, awful and I’m going to fire them as soon as I can reach a human being. They don’t show up on time after they promise when they’re going to be there. They don’t call you back and you can’t reach anybody in the local area.

We will never do business with this company again. In addition to the shady payment and collections scheme (which I have seen done before from other large corporation based companies). No effort was made to correct the matter when I finally contacted them, they were very unapologetic, and it meant nothing to them how long we were a customer. To add insult to injury, they never even came to do any termite inspections the last few months, and when we cancelled unnecessary pest inspections, they came anyway then drafted the money out of our account. The amount I specified for service is the sum total of money we have spent with this company. Save yourself the trouble and find a local company, these people are scum of the earth.
Description of Work: We paid for service for over 3 years, the termite protection and quarterly pest control. Payments were automatically deducted from our account from the moment we signed up for service. Our pest control contract expired, and when I went to renew I found we had been turned over to collections for a mysterious $70 bill that was unpaid, even though there are 3 years of automatic payments that were made. We never received any notice from terminex about the unpaid bill, and have yet to receive notice from the supposed collection agency. I now have to find this company and hope this $70 hasn't ruined our credit or hope it hasn't turned into a $300 bill. Is is no way to treat a loyal customer of 3 years; it is appalling.

This is NOT an issue of them ignoring their guarantee or not doing what they said they would do regarding termites. It IS about the lack of appearance at my home not once, but twice, for their annual termite inspection. They need 10 minutes once a year to "guarantee" you don't have termites. Frankly, it's easier to pay them then read the reviews and find out they probably won't pay without hassle if indeed termites are found. But when you call the service manager after the first no-show, and he personally sets the time with you for the follow up visit, after "apologizing", then you know something is really remiss. You wonder how much of a total scam paying $250 a year for termite protection is. I don't normally get fed up with national companies but treating long time customers with disregard is when I say good bye. For Termini, I suggest they work on their phone system which does not let you speak to the local rep easily, and their inability to show up on time for a once a year visit. I know they won't miss me, but maybe you will check out other companies before just handing them your money year after year.
Description of Work: Terminix did not show on two different occasions (one of which was schedule by the Nashville Service Manager (Tony). I have had termite protection on this property for 8 years and on another property for over 20 years. I have never encountered the consistent failure to appear and difficulty in contacting a local office until the last couple of years. Non-responsive customer service cannot be rewarded and I am cancelling all ties with Terminix and going with a more local and responsive company (of course reocmmended on Angies List!)

They come anytime you need them. In between the scheduled services, if there's a couple spiders I see, they'll come out and spray again just in case so that's pretty cool.

They are great! I have never had any issues with them! I thought their price was a little high for a vapor barrier, but it turns out I was wrong about that! He is going to install a 12 vapor barrier in the crawl space.

They were nice about trying to get it corrected, but we didn’t feel good about going forward with them after they had told us twice they wouldn’t charge us until the job was done, but they proceeded to charge us both times. I’m not out any money, but it’s just frustrating because they put the charge on without telling us.
Description of Work: They were going to be our pest control and we contracted with them to put a vapor barrier in our crawl space and to put in automatically adjusting vents. They said they would not charge us until the job was done and we saw a charge on our card the next day. They said they would reverse it, and they did, but they then recharged it. So, we then cancelled the contract and paid them for the services they had performed. The vents they installed were not secured and kept falling out.

I think they do a good job. I don't have anything to compare their price to. We called them one time about spiders. One time they came earlier than they were supposed to and we didn't know, so we didn't let our dogs out and he had to leave. He didn't come at the appointed time but he corrected the problem.

They did outside perimeter. They checked for carpenter bees and ants. I haven’t seen any pest in coming. Before, we had a problem with carpenter ants. I haven’t had a problem with that this year. I didn’t have any problems inside either. I am happy that I don’t see a bug, no roaches and no ants. They were quick to respond if I wanted them just to come and check something that I was worried about. They checked with me frequently to see if I am happy with the job that they did and I appreciate that because they take general feedback. I never had a problem with bugs. I am comfortable using them. They call me before they come. They are there when they said they would.

They come out quarterly for pest control but they will come out in between if it is needed. The pest control has been excellent. He is always on time and shows up when he says he will. I have had the same guy come for years and he is very efficient.

I have been using them for many years. They just have an insurance deal where basically I pay a lower monthly fee and they come out once a year and check, and if termites are discovered then they fix it. I rate them very highly.
