He charged me $300 extra dollars that he didn't itemize on my receipt. I was unhappy with his work. It took him 2 weeks just to float the wall. He also went through the wall when he was installing a light fixture. I have to get the wall patched, and I told him that I wanted the $300 back. The $300 is what it is going to cost to get these problems fixed. It project started out being reasonable, but when he started the project he started adding expenses and not itemizing them on my receipt.
Description of Work: I had used him before and he did a good job. I called him to ask him to put in a new fixture and to float the walls so the painter can get in.

Response from Roger Keune Handyman Services
She called me for an estimate to replace a tub valve, strip ceiling texture, re float walls, replace vanity faucet, hang two light fixtures, and install crown molding in the bath room. Her reaction to my first price was "that's too much." That was then end of the conversation. She called me back three days later and asked if I could cut that price any. We agreed to eliminate the crown molding if I could fix the crack at the top of the wall at the ceiling line, which reduced the price by$300. She said alright do the job. When I got to the job to start the work, she said she had a few other things she wanted to do as well; Corner mold in three locations, hanging a curtain rod and looking at sewing machine. I told her I don't work on appliances but she begged me to look at it. I found it needed two sets of screws, because of our previous experience of working together I told her I would try to find some screws. I wasted 3 or 4 hours looking for screws for her sewing machine plus several gallons of gas going to several different hardware stores. I then suggested she take the machine to a fabric store for them to install the screws. When I took the light fixture off the wall there were three holes in the wall when should only have been one. There were wires running from all three illegally, when I told her this she covered her ears with both hands so she could not hear what I was saying like she didn't; want to know that. I then told her I had to rewire all three opening ton one box in the center. She said how much will that cost, I said back to the original price, she said we have to do it for the new light fixture, which added back into the job $300 that I had taken off for the crown molding. I added no extra charges she did not know about. She still owes me money and she said she would not pay it. So as far as I'm concerned she has got the three hundred dollars she says I owe her already. I've been in this business almost 40 years and have dealt with thousands of customers over those years and I have about a 90%%%% repeat and referral clientele. Some of them I've done work on two or three different home. My explanation of her is I think she has done this same thing before with other contractors. If she offered me a million dollars to do some work for her I would refuse the job and stay home. Respectfully, Roger M Keune

He arrived on time and we discussed the job. I left the house to run some errands and he was actually finished before I got home. He had to wait on me to return and was nice and polite even though he had to wait on me. He did the job exactly as we discussed.
Description of Work: He replaced a broken mailbox. He came to my house and looked at my old box, then went to the store and bought a new mailbox and returned and put the new box on the existing pole.

We use him all the time for odd things here and there. I like that he will do any job big or small and no matter the size. He is a really friendly man, and will actually have a conversation with you, and that makes me feel more like a friend than a customer. As for his work, he does a great job on everything and I have never had to call him back a second time to fix what he has done.
Description of Work: He installed a ceiling fan inside my house and fixed an outdoor light that had been broken. He also put in a pool pump for us.
