I've used ProGreen for 8+ years and have appreciated the reliable and meticulous level of service. I have a very unique backyard with different levels and a pool and it is not an easy yard to maintain (mower has to be picked up to reach certain areas) but ProGreen has performed all services extremely well. I also use them for mulching and leaf removal (I have a wooded lot and 50 bags of leaves is not uncommon in the fall). From a pricing aspect, I've been comfortable with ProGreen's prices and it's been years since my routine lawn maintenance rates have increased ($45 for mowing and edging). The owner of ProGreen is very easy to work with as I will call him to request specific work and he is always accommodating.

The services (when provided) were excellent. Coco, the one who usually provided the services, was just as nice as can be and I was super pleased with him and his partner. HOWEVER, the agreed upon monthly bill was NEVER sent, even after several requests. Mr. Metts usually responded to my messages about the lack of a bill promptly and would tell me he'd take care of it. Still, never got a bill. So today, I left my third and last message for Mr. Metts that my frustration with no bill was forcing me to sever the business relationship and to please send a bill to pay. My frustration was the and quot;monthlyand quot; charges were adding up (without a bill to pay) and they would be harder to pay in one, huge lump sum (that's why I needed a bill each month). He called a few minutes later and after I repeated my concerns, he launched into a PROFANITY-LACED, VERBALLY ABUSIVE TYRADE and ended the call with this statement; and quot;You're BAT-S!@# CRAZY, lady and I know now why you're single.and quot; Yes; Mr. Metts. I am a single female but I am certain I did nothing to deserve being treated with such disrespect and unkindness. He told me I could have written him a check any time. I tried! But I never saw Mr. Metts again after the initial and quot;estimateand quot; visit and I tried giving Coco money several times, to which he told me, and quot;talk to Mr. Bart about thatand quot;, so I'd call and leave Bart yet another message. The only issue I had with Bart Metts' company was not receiving a bill and because of that, I, as the customer, made a decision to end the business arrangement. I DID NOT deserve the verbal abuse Mr. Metts hurled at me. Again, the work that was completed by his workers was satisfactory but that one phone call was cruel and so, so wrong. NO, Mr. Metts; I am not and quot;BAT-S!@# CRAZYand quot; and you have no idea why I'm single; nor was that your business. You know nothing about me, except that I was a frustrated customer/neighbor who was struggling with a critically ill father and wanted to pay my bill. 7/19/2013 - I received a bill from Mr. Metts and all but two prices were inflated. The bill was dated July 1, 2013 with a note at the bottom to remit payment within 5 days (after it took him over 90 days to send my and quot;monthlyand quot; bill). Bill was postmarked July 18, 2013; seventeen days after the noted billing date. Sent payment of $405--broken down as follows: 2 mowings @ $40 (gave him an extra $5 for first two mows/trims because he said in the estimate it and quot;mightand quot; be more the first two times to get the yard in good shape); 5 mowings @ $35 (the agreed weekly cost of this service) and $150 for hedge trimming (was supposed to be charged @ $75 an hour but was charged $100 an hour instead). Two men worked just under 2 hours to trim hedges BUT, because Mr. Metts didn't show up for this job as he said he would, they missed cutting down the overgrown holly hedge next to the garage so, the work was incomplete. I was at home the entire time and clocked it at 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete. No scaffolding was needed as Mr. Metts had suggested therefore, the job didn't take them long at all. The bill was $480 and after correcting the itemized bill, I sent him $405. I lodged a Better Business Bureau complaint regarding the lack of monthly/timely billing and his verbal abuse on the phone the last time I requested the bill (July 16, 2013). Again, the complaint should not reflect the work his two men did. They were fast, efficient with their time, courteous and did a great job for Mr. Metts. Had Mr. Metts been a good businessman though, and followed a monthly billing scheduled as promised and not attacked me on the phone for asking for the bill, I'd have given the work an A. However, Mr. Metts was always quick with an excuse why he couldn't get the bill out or complete the work and acted like he was doing me some kind of and quot;favorand quot; when they did show up. My flower beds never got cleaned out; he never brought me the mulch he promised and, he never sent someone out to look at spraying weeds in the front yard. I was patient through it all right up to the end. On June 28th, I called about the bill (again) and was thrilled to hear him say he was sitting down and quot;himselfand quot; to get the billing straightened out that weekend and I would have a bill Monday (July 1). Again, I received the ONE AND ONLY bill July 19 (for 3 months of work) after filing the BBB complaint he probably received notice of on the 17th or 18th. It should not have taken a complaint to get a bill.
Description of Work: The agreed upon services were weekly lawn care @ $35 a week (cut 7 times) and hedges trimmed @ $75 per hour (Coco worked just under 2 hours so total--$150) to be paid for on a monthly basis. No monthly bill EVER provided and to date, have not received a bill for any services from Mr. Metts and had to end business relationship because of this.

While I truly sympathize with (removed member name)let's condition, I'm surprised she would go to such lengths to slander my business with accusations that NEVER happened. During our first meeting I told (removed member name) that I could do the lawn maintenance for 35.00 weekly or 40.00 Biweekly. Both of these prices were very generous since she has a large corner lot with a sidewalk. Since she is a neighbor and had informed me that she was going through some difficult times, I was happy to do it. She decided that Biweekly was best for her so that is the schedule we went with. We also agreed on a price of 200.00 to trim her large hedges and clean up clippings. She asked how I charged and I told her "by the job". (removed member name) then asked how I come up with the price of the job. I told her that I try and judge how long a job will take and have a formula per hour that I try and go by. What she is not taking in to consideration is drive time and fuel and other factors that go in to an estimate. All she chose to hear was 75.00 per hour which is absolutely not what we agreed upon since at the end of our conversation she asked "so can you do it for 200.00?". That price was also very reduced because she told me that she had received bids of 500 to 600 dollars for the exact same job. Again, I was trying to help her out. As for Ms. Streets claim that she had to beg me for other services other than mowing the grass are also untrue. She made it very clear to me that she needed to do the work in stages because of money. I've been very fortunate to be very busy this year and when (removed member name) asked for extra work to be done I told her when I had an opening on the schedule.( Usually one to two weeks out for landscaping work.) She acted upset and unreasonable with that so I moved some things around to fit her in sooner. (removed member name) main issue with me seemed to be that she had not received a bill. She called in a panic about it one day and I told her that I had sent a bill the week before. She quickly said to me " that you must have not sent it or I would have received it".I assured her that I had sent it and that I would send another one. I have since sent another bill in which she decided to pay what she thought she owed me instead of the generous prices that we agreed upon. I've been in business for 19 years serving the Germantown/Collierville/Bartlett and Memphis areas with hundreds of satisfied customers including area schools, churches and Fortune 500 businesses. They are just very punctual and dependable. They do an excellent job. Our grass being cut to leaves cleaned out and blown to hedges being trimmed, they cover all bases.

They have been fantastic. They were here on time and did a marvelous job. They cleaned up and it looked beautiful when they left. I'm going to use them again.
Description of Work: I used Pro Green Lawn & Landscaping to do winter cleanup and light tree trimming in the front. They also do the mowing and edging of our yard during the year.

I am very pleased with Progreen. They do a very good job maintaining my property and I love it when they come and neaten things up in my yard. If I could afford it I would certainly have them come and work on my yard every week. We have been using them for quite some time and we have always felt like valued customers.
Description of Work: I use Progreen to cut my two and a half acre property bi-weekly. They cut my entire lawn, removed all weeds for me and they even use the weed eater to go around my flower beds and things of that nature.
