They show items on their app that are not at the location. We gave them an issue on the first day of a 4 day trip. Just received an update second day evening, and they don’t have an update for when another issue is resolved. Maybe they came fix issue after we leave. Awful. Never going again. Giving this review on multiple sites to get word out. This is awful.

There were several problems with the cabin: the hot tub would not heat up & displayed an error code; the batteries in the TV remote by the hot tub were dead; the batteries in the Roku remote in the game room were dead; the pool pump was not working & therefore did not circulate the water nor heat it to a useable temperature; the electric fireplace on the back deck either did not work or only half of it would ignite; the dishwasher did not work; window blinds in one upstairs bedroom would not go all the way down which meant light from the rising sun poured in; the chandelier in the stairway from the upper level to the lower level did not work; there was food all over & inside the pull-out couch, gross to the point no one used it; there was a section of broken and raised floor plank by the dishwasher which created a trip hazard and a foot injury hazard. The reason we chose the Southern Falls cabin was because of the pool and the hot tub. Neither worked. CFY offered a $300 gift certificate as compensation. We requested cash compensation instead. CFY said it was against company policy to issue a refund. We declined their gift certificate offer because we will never use this company again. Terrible reviews by others on the Better Business Bureau website and Yelp as well.

We arrived on Sunday night to our cabin (Bear Splash). Upon arrival we noticed wifi was not working and the heated indoor pool was only 68° along with the dryer not working. We immediately called to rectify the situation. We were told nothing could be done till Monday because of the weekend. Monday morning we once again called customer service to make sure we weren’t forgotten and to get an estimate on time. We were told they had an 8 hour window to fix the problems and that calling the night before did not count towards those hours. My daughter missed her virtual schooling (along with mandatory testing) because of the lack of wifi. Around 2pm an outside pool maintenance contractor arrived and told us the heater for the pool had not been turned on (and it was behind a locked door so we could not have turned it on) and it would be the following day before it would be heated to the normal temperature. Around 4pm a maintenance worker arrived to check the wifi and dryer. Come to found out the wifi router ran on a SIM card and the internet had been used up. This was something the owner would have to fix. The dryer could not be fixed right then. Again we called customer service and asked to be moved to a new cabin. By 7pm we called to see if the new cabin was ready. It was and we moved to Aqua Majesty. The place was lovely and had the amenities we had paid for. We were told at the end of our stay Cabins For You would then discuss what would be done to compensate us for our lost time at the beginning of the trip (the time that was 26% of our vacation time). Upon check out Thursday morning we called to let them know we were checking out and discuss compensation. We were told management would call us back. We were called back and offered a $75 credit for a future stay with them. We paid $250 per night and lost an entire 28 hours and they consider that adequate compensation. We asked to speak to someone else. We were told no one else could do anything better. That it was company policy. They have some beautiful cabins but their customer service is horrendous and a joke. Do not book.

As if 12/11/2020 at 7:14pm no one has show up. We spent $3,000.00 for 4 nights. People don’t rent anything from this company too many other good rental companies to use other this one. Also no one regulates this multi-million business.
Description of Work: 2 fire places not working, place was filthy refrigerator had shelves missing of which Cabins for you were aware of, they told this. They did not come to fix anything called at 4:00pm on 12/9/2020 again on 12:00 pm on 12/10/2020 still did not come sent them a list of things in disrepair. Called again on 12/11/2020 still nothing. Now that I have read there reviews they had no intention of fixing anything. What we need is to bring a class action lawsuit against Cabins for You and I’m willing to foot most of the bill.

The cabin was ok. When we arrived the hot tub was at 79 degrees (barely warm enough for a swimming pool). They had repeatedly said that it takes time to warm up, but when I checked the next morning, it was the same temp. Spent about 35 minutes on the phone and was told to turn on the jets to the hot tub and it would warm up. So I did, and then we left o go hiking. Came back that evening and the hot tub was still at 79 degrees. Tried to call the next morning to let them know we weren't able to use the hot tub, but the wait time was so long, I just sent an email. Got a response the next day saying they were looking into it, and would get back to me. Ten days later, they still hadn't responded, so I called to voice my dissatisfaction. Talked to a customer service rep who put me on hold and then offered me a $75 credit toward a future stay (and it expires in 1 year). I would have never booked this cabin if I was not going to have access to a hot tub after 2 full days of hiking. To me, that is a HUGE part of the "mountain cabin" experience. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Kelsey called me back about an hour later. Even though the CabinsForYou website says that she ensures guests are taken care of and satisfied, she definitely did not. She said the $75 coupon toward a future stay was all she could do. So let me get this straight... I don't come close to getting the experience I paid over $475 for, but you want me to come spend more money at your cabins??? No thanks. Kelsey, I would recommend you take a few business classes, or at least a class in customer service...studying radiology at Chattahoochee Tech didn't prepare you for a career in customer service. Not only did I not have access to a working hot tub, but I spent several hours of my vacation trying to address this issue. The first moron I talked to actually asked if my concern was that the hot tub is now fixed?!?!? Ummm, yes, I'm following up out of concern that the next guest will have a subpar stay at your cabins. LOLOL. Good luck staying with Cabins For You...if anything goes wrong, they will basically tell you, "So sorry, we aren't doing anything for you, want to come stay again?" I urge you to look elsewhere.

We arrived to find stains on the carpet, and mouse feces in all the pots and pans under the sink. We were kept awake ALL NIGHT by mice in the walls....could be heard in several different locations in walls and ceilings, and running across the drop ceiling tiles right above the bed we were sleeping in. This of course was great fun for our 2 dogs, who were then up all night chasing the sounds and digging at the walls and the shower drain. There was standing water in the laundry room from a leak in the a/c humidifier drain. I fixed that myself. The smoke detectors were missing or non-working and the fire escape door was barred shut. We tried to work with Cabins For You for a refund. We have filed a complaint with the BBB, as well as the local health department. The managers from Cabins For You said they did not believe us, and that we signed a rental agreement that states "no refund". I did not agree to rent a mouse-infested fire trap. This place should be taken off the market. It is a danger, and a disgrace.

Response from Cabins For You
Customer reached out to Cabins For You staff during her stay at Alpine Rose. On July 30, the customers brought to our attention that there was a pest control problem and our reservationist offered to have our pest control company go out to the cabin. Later the same day they placed another call to our office to report the hot tub was extremely hot. She was instructed to take the hot tub cover off and turn the breaker off. During their stay at Alpine Rose, they encountered other issues that they were unhappy with (exit signs, smoke detectors, other things that she has mentioned above). Our reservationist upgraded them on August 2 to a four bedroom cabin called River Retreat. They also added an additional night for the guests at this four bedroom cabin. Our reservation agreement that Customer signed, states that every effort will be made by Cabins For You to correct any problems that might be encountered during a stay, but there are no refunds. Even though we upgraded Customer and Others, we still offered to refund $145, a $300 gift certificate and 10% discount towards a future stay. The gift certificate and discount would cover for a free weekend at some of our cabins. Even though our agreement states that we do not refund, we still refunded one night due to the inconveniences and have essentially offered a free weekend at certain cabins on our program. Cabins For You felt as though they went beyond the normal protocol to accommodate the guests. Since the Customer stay, she has filed complaints with BBB and the building inspector's office for Tennessee. BBB closed the case in our favor and the building inspector passed the house with no structural issues. We are so sorry that your stay was not satisfactory, every reservation is important to us.

Description of Work: This is a real estate broker that handles cabin rentals in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. They rent your cabin for a commission and also take care of any problems. We have owned our cabin in Pigeon Forge since 1996 and this company is the best of any we have used. They really get the job done. We get a lot more rentals with them. They advertise on the web and Facebook and show pictures, availability, and info on your cabin. You can rent directly on-line or call an 800 number. They call you if any problems crop up with your cabin and make small repairs automatically. They have the standard 60/40% rates. The housekeeping crew is better than average also. They do charge a small monthly ($18 for 2 BR) maintenance fee for someone to change furnace filters, light bulbs, etc. They are quick to answer emails or phone messages. The only problem we ever had was a tree fell in the back yard and it took them awhile to get the wood out of the yard but I think it was an outside company that they had hired to do the work.
