+ -1 moreAfter living in Tornado Alley and having several close calls and no safe place to go, I decided to purchase a tornado shelter. I found that a shelter is not a shelter and I had to do a lot of homework. I decided on buying a Family Safe Shelter because they were approved by Texas Tech University as being certified to stand up to an F 5 tornado. I am now confident that my family will be safe as Family Safe Shelters are solid and approved by the National Storm Shelter Association and FEMA.
Description of Work: The dealer for Tennessee is Stormx Shelters, and after several phone calls the company representative, Marcus, was always very cordial, friendly and professional. I decided to buy an in home storm shelter because I don't like the idea of running outside to get away from a tornado into an outside shelter. After I bought the unit, there was a 6 week backlog but they told me that up front. In about 5 weeks they called me and said they were ready to install. I purchased a 4ft by 8ft shelter because a little extra money was worth a little extra room. They installed the shelter and after installation I still had questions. Marcus was always cordial and helpful in answering my questions.
