Description of Work: I got a quote from Russell's Building & Remodeling for a bathroom remodel.

Description of Work: I had used John for a couple of small jobs and received good references from one of my neighbors. Our master bathroom needed enlarging and remodeling in 2009. John made excellent suggestions and did an excellent job. The following year, we wanted to replace our carpeting with wood floors and tile, move cabinets and refrigerator in the kitchen, replace the ceilings with wood, install crown molding, replace the internal staircase with wood, seal the outside brick and stone, add a closet in the foyer hallway, build book shelves and paint the interior and exterior. This work involved eight rooms to be floored and two rooms and the foyer to be tiled on the first floor; all ceilings on the first floor to be covered with wood and crown molding to be installed throughout; the internal staircase between the main level and lower level to be replaced by a wooden staircase; slate to be installed at the entrance to the garage, the interior and exterior of the house painted and/or sealed. Parts of three internal walls were moved and refinished to enlarge the master bath, install a pantry in the kitchen, and create a closet in the foyer hallway.
