Vacuum was pepared very timely - within 1 day, and work was very satisfactory. Note: I took the vacuum into their shop, although Angie's List doesn't seem to accept an alternative for "Location of Service".
Description of Work: Repair of Hoover Wind Tunnel upright vacuum - power drive not working. Also, wanted electric cord replaced.

I went back and he wanted to charge me another $75 to look at it. I got a $6.00 part and installed it and it works just fine. They really did not stand behind any of their service, all they wanted to do was sell a new cleaner. I would never go back.
Description of Work: The son replaced a part and did not install it correctly.

I also had some minor repair work done at this shop--again by the son. He had some negative things to say about our Rainbow machine, which my wife loves. So yes, they try to sell their own line of vacuums, but that seems normal.
Description of Work: I didn't deal with the owner, just his son, who was quite helpful and brokered a trade with me for a used Rainbow on the floor. He did have to keep calling his father, who was off-site, to get permission to close the deal. And one time the father came into the store while I was there, did NOT greet me, then left. So I would have to agree somewhat with the other reviewer...just deal with the son if you want to do business in Franklin. Otherwise, try Edison in Nashville.

I went to pick a part for our vacuum cleaner. The owner of the shop was rude and very unhelpful. This was not my first experience here. If I go here and the son is there my experience is completely different. However,I've rarely been there that I haven't had to deal with the elder owner. He is only concerned with whether or not you bought your vacuum from him regardless of why you've come in. Usually I am there to purchase vacuum bags as this shop is the only one in town that carries my brand. Today I was looking for a replacement handle for my vacuum. The owner's first question as always was where did I buy the vacuum. This is relevant how? I told him we bought the vacuum in Nashville. Then, without looking, he said he didn't have the part we needed. I asked of he could look. He stepped in the back, in clear view, glanced around and came back out. Clearly, this man doesn't know the first thing about customer service. I will never go in this place again. I would rather drive clear across Nashville than deal with this rude shop owner again. Pretty sad that this is the best Franklin has to offer.
Description of Work: No service performed

I recently took the vacuum in for repair because it had stopped running. Mr. Graham kept it for three days. When I picked it up, he said that it had worked for him so he did not do anything to it. The next weekend I had guests coming over and pulled out the vacuum to do a last minute clean. The vacuum would not work. I took it back to The Vacuum Shop, which is near my home and asked Mr. Graham to repair it. He wanted to do it on the spot but I had guests coming over in a few minutes. I asked him if I could borrow one of his used vacuums so I could finish my cleaning. He said I could if I was willing to re clean the engine and put new filters in the vacuum. I felt this was poor customer service. He should have fixed the vacuum the previous week and since he did not do that, should have loaned me a vacuum to finish my cleaning.
Description of Work: This shop sells and repairs vacuums. I bought my vacuum from this store. I recently took the vacuum in for repair. He replace the cord and it cost $24.00.
