I moved to town and needed lawn service quickly. Found Shawn knowing nothing about his business. His guys are fantastic! Dependable and they do a great job! I honestly didn’t expect them to edge the lawn and clean up but they pay attention to detail I never thought of. I’d rate them a 10 if I could!

It went great. Shawn was available and responsive by phone, email and text. His worker, Jose, was friendly and worked incredibly hard and came back 2 days in a row to finish the job. The end result looked great and we are very happy. Will definitely use them again. Our dog liked Shawn too!

I have continued to use Shawn at Merryman's Custom Lawn since 2013. He has recently done some major landscaping and yard & tree clean up. He is trustworthy, on time and does a good job. I have been traveling and he is managing my front and back yard while I'm away. His invoices arrive by email and I am able to click on paypal for payment. Very easy! If I do need to call or text he is prompt in replying to me.

They are very responsive to requests and do a good job communicating. The lawn always looks great and they always work around special requests, like coming a certain day due to company or a party. They do a great job trimmimg the bushes, and cleaning up all the leaves, etc. from fall. We will continue to use them.

It went horribly. We played phone tag & I finally got fed up & stopped calling!

I needed to switch lawn people because I am out of town a lot and need to do billing online, and my previous person did not do that. I picked MCLC because they gave me a good price, $50, where a couple of other's wanted $70 (my previous person was $50). But what I like best is that Shawn does a great job, he even came back once and did a little extra mowing because we'd had a big pile of brush that was picked up after he mowed, and it left several big patches of grass, and he didn't charge anything. Also, he is quite flexible and tries to give you what you want. And he is actually a regular guy, easy to interact with, rather than someone you have to fight with. So I really like and appreciate his service. Also, the online billing is very convenient.

I contacted them via Angles List and they responded within a few days. Provided a quote very quickly via email. Once confirmed and approved, the work was done very quickly. Quality of the work was great! Owners provided great communication all through the process. I recommended them to several people in my office.

Did not show up for the job. No phone calls after we called twice. Finally an e-mail with no definite excuse for not contacting us.

Shawn's work ethic and enthusiastic efforts to actually turn the homeowners vision into reality was most impressive. Very hard worker, efficient and went the extra mile to overcome several obstacles which unexpectedly presented. Shawn epitomizes the merit of using a local small business owner who both supports the local economy and raises his family here. Every one should support our local business owners, especially when they are honest, hard working and care about and have a vested interest in, their neighbors and community such as Merryman's. Final price was exactly as quoted, even after dealing with unexpected issues requiring extra work. My comments are from the perspective of a retired business owner (32 years in Nashville and Franklin) who is sensitive to and appreciates quality work and customer service. Had my experience been any other way, I would have reported that as well.

Reached out to Merryman approx. 3 weeks ago. We have a large yard and we wanted a quote on mulching and spring clean up. Got a vmail. Left a message, including the fact that we found him on Angie's List. No response. Called again. Got vmail again. Shawn finally called back about 4 days later and said he would stop by the following Monday. He did not do that. Finally came out during the week and called, left vmail asking what kind of mulch we wanted. We told him we wanted pine chips (on vmail again) and requested a call back or email with quote. Never heard back after that. Seems like maybe Merryman has plenty of work right now and we are not a priority. Wish he would have just told us that up front if that was the case.

No response to phone call. Total lack of professionalism. Graded F.

Shawn was very responsive from the first time I contacted him, and was out at our house the next week. He warned me that he most likely wouldn't be the cheapest, but that he was honest and did great work. I had a second company out to quote the same jobs, and when I showed the quote to Shawn we quickly realized that the other company was 3 times the price Shawn quoted. He came out several times to complete the different jobs, and communication with him was very easy.
