Lee Company

Upon contact with Lee Company, we learned that the contract that we already have with them to service our HVAC includes other services, such as the electrical inspection, which we had purchased through Angie's List. We were not aware that our contact included these additional services. Therefore, we had already paid Lee Company for the services that we asked for through Angie's List and really did not need to. They were very good in walking us through the other services that we were unaware of, too. They were very helpful. However, please know that we appreciate Angie's List and the services and evaluation we find through this online service. We will continue to use this service for other needs that we have. Thank you.

The service was great. They were wonderful and very professional. They explained things to me, were helpful and not pushy. I will definitely recommend them and use them in the future.

It went well, technician was extremely professional and helpful. Fixed a toilet, gave me a detailed status report of my homes current plumbing condition and provided quotes for possible future repairs.

When doing the quote for a whole house plumbing replacement, the Service man was Punctual, knowledgeable, friendly. The quoted price did not include the upstairs bathroom and I am not sure why. That was the only glitch and I am sure I can use Lee company in the future. I chose to use another company because their quote was more thorough.

Technician was excellent. Very knowledgeable and on time. He did the entire scope of work in a reasonable amount of time, he did not waste time.

I felt extremely pressured to replace hardware, supply lines and tank innards for $300.00 per toilet. Also he suggested I get an expansion tank for my water heater for $234 and a new pressure valve on the inlet to my house for $360.00 Wow! The inspection took three hours which was way too long in my opinion. What really turned me off was the high pressure to purchase and the high cost for the replacement parts.

They went above and beyond what I was expecting. Our circuit breaker is a jumbled mess, and they identified outlets and switches that went on each breaker. I was very impressed. Gave me a copy of the Index, which I promptly made copies of. Put one in the circuit breaker box, one in the house file... and one in the drawer by the circuit breaker box. Two great guys that knew what they were doing!

The service was great. Everyone from Lee Company was friendly and patient. I was in town for a visit to my grandmother's home and while in town I had the goal to ensure that she could get a new HVAC system installed. The representative from Lee called me back immediately and moved our appointment to the top of the list because my grandmother is elderly. He was extremely nice and he explained everything about the new system in great detail. When the system was installed the next week, the technician made sure to explain everything to me over the phone. I was so pleased to have found this company on Angie's List. To top it off I got a number of direct word of mouth recommendations as well. We will definitely stick with this company for the long haul.

This is a story! We recently purchased our house that has a circuit breaker box with some correct, some incorrect and some very confusing labels or lack thereof. We did our best to figure out which breakers supplied power to what and where but with our best efforts there was still a lot of breaker mystery! When we saw the Angie's List "special" from Lee Company specifically for the labeling of a circuit breaker box our thoughts were "that's the exact thing we need'. We purchased the deal, made the appt and Lee company reps came promptly on time as scheduled in two vans w/ three men. They came in and started switching switches and calling out one another and communicating what was and wasn't working. They were friendly and chatty. They finished their exam/tasks and then all went out to their vans and in about 15 minutes came back in with a sheet of paper stating recommendations for things that they felt we needed to update repair and/or replace. I said thank you and that we will consider all that and thanked them for their work and they gave me my receipt and went outside. I then excitedly went to the breaker box to see all the new labeling and found that there was no new labeling at all not even any writing over the labeling already there,it was the same old labels and markings as when they came in. I was confused and I looked outside and saw they were still in the driveway. I went out to them and asked them why there were no new labels in the box. Their responses was that most of the labels were correct and that they don't put new labels in boxes except in new homes and blah blah blah rambling on technically why they didn't do any labels. Awkwardly for me, they didn't seem particularly happy that I was questioning there work or lack thereof. I explained to them that the main reason I purchased a "special deal" entitled labeling of the breaker box and electrical inspection was got updated and exactly correct professional labeling not the previous owners personal and wrong labels. still confused I politely said okay, thank you and went back in the house. I have to say I was confused and feeling stupid to have paid $90.00 and missing several hours of work to have 3 guys come in and do what I had already done and not knowing more than before they had arrived. Then 5 to 10 minutes later, they knocked on the door and the Lee company guys, still with an attitude of having done what they were supposed too ,but, said they were going to do it again because they didn't want me to fill that I had been scammed'. They did a rush job of what should have been done already and fast forward, now 8 breakers that we couldn't figure out They(Lee) labeled 'Rad.Heat" and told me that they were probably"old wall heaters" They found a breaker labeled water heater wasn't hooked up and that a different breaker labeled water heater label was connected. The only other change they made was to write 'barn" on another label. (When they first arrived I told them it was important for us to know which breaker was connected to the shed but they didn't find that till the second round.) Other than those changes. no new labels were added and we were left with all of the original labels with the names of people that we don't from previous occupants indicating which room was which (ex. Jimmy's room plugs)T I have to say though that whole incident left me feeing awkward. The exuded an energy that made me feel like I was in the wrong for mentioning that they did not do what i hired the to do and noticing that there were no new labels. I was made to feell I was putting them out to do it the job the second time. So I'm about 50% assured of the labeling now and I don't foresee contacting the Lee Company to do any of the work they recommended. UPDATE 07-14-2014 After posting my review the manager of electrical operations at Lee Co. called and said my review was brought to his attention and he said that my experience was not representative of Lee Co and that he would like to send a different crew out to do the job correctly. He took the blame for my botched job by saying that they had not promoted this work before and he didn't fully explain / train for what he expected for this special promoting breaker box labeling. He reiterated that that labeling was indeed meant to take place despite what the first crew said and that the labels were in his office and he didn't make that clear to the crews. We scheduled another appt. for 8 am on 7-8-2014. The 2 man crew arrived and redid the job very well and exceeding my low expectations and pushing the bar of satisfaction beyond the call of duty

All the repairs are working great. They cleaned up after job and all is well.

On time, friendly, and informative. I appreciate being respectful and putting on shoe coverings inside the home. Signed up for maintenance contact for peace of mind. Highly recommended for North Alabama.

They are a very good company. They use high quality parts and provide high quality service. They put the customer first. Their prices are competitive. I had no problems.

They did a great job. They've always been very dependable and we've used them since 2008.

My carbon monoxide detector starting going off and Lee Company responded very quickly to find my problem. They came out the same day and replaced my old unit with a new tank less water heater. They did a very nice job, however, I think the price was pretty high for the unit and a couple of hours of work.

I have used Lee Company for other services with outstanding results. This was no different, very thorough, prompt and professional. You DO get what you pay for and I'll continue to use them for services. You truly can count on Lee.

It went great. The service technician arrived on time and was ready to work. He fixed the toilet in what I consider record time and he checked some of the other fixtures in the house.thanks to him we figured out that the water heater needed replacing.

They did fine,they were prompt and did a good job.

They replaced floor panels in a computer room, replaced 2 thermostats for the HVAC system, replaced a bathroom faucet and replaced light bulbs in hard to reach areas. They also did some general cleaning on a floor that wasn't been used. I am completely satisfied with their work. The floor panels were a special order and they kept me well informed of the timing with regular updates. I read a few less than positive reviews regarding pricing for this company. All contracting services can be costly, however, you get what you pay for. I also like to support local companies that guarantee their work. I've had some less than positive experiences using lower priced contractors for home projects and had to have them redone due to poor quality of their work. I will use Lee Company in the future.

They were expensive for the service. They were quite competent in the work and they took care of what was needed very quickly. Scheduling was good and the technician was good as well. They were recommending other items and it seemed like they were trying to up-sell and I did not feel that was appropriate. I did have a contractor that verified that they did good work for what they did. I would only hire them for minor jobs in the future as they are rather expensive.

So far so good, they’re expensive but good. They did a water heater under the house; which they had to come back about three to four times for, it cost about $5,000 to $6,000. They’ve done other services to.

They were very helpful and provided us with a lower-cost option than the company with whom we first spoke.

Wouldn't call these folks ever again. It was a total waste of time and I felt that they shouldn't even be in the business they are in based on this experience.

First, their local number is 256-353-1000. You get an answering service who connects you to a "call manager." I was put on hold for 5 minutes listening to their loud commercials and when somebody finally answered, I said "hello, hello" and they hung up. Not sure if they couldn't hear me or what. Called back again and spoke to someone but I decided to pass. I have to say they called me back as I was writing this review but I like to support small business so I told them no thank you.

we have a maintenance contract with them. have found them to be professional although, candidly, on the expensive side
