They had a good price and that is why I choose their service. I thought that they good quality and professionalism.

The deck that Franklin Fence and Deck put on for us is beautiful. Several people who have seen it have commented on how nice it is and asked who did the work. The project was not without problems. There was a worker who was sick and the job took a little longer than expected but we were informed and my phone calls were answered promptly. They supplied a kennel for my dogs to be in while the work was done. When I was unexpectedly in the hospital and unable to put the dogs up they put food in the kennel and enclosed them for us. The people who worked on the deck were always polite and there was no bad language. I felt very comfortable with them being at my home.

It took then about 3 days and they did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves after they finished.

Mike did a great job with our front steps. He spent a lot of time before the work started to make sure everything was well planned. We have been very happy with the front steps. They are as solid as a rock.

Excellent and pleasant process, I must admit! Mike came out and provided me with 2 material estimates one being treated pine and the other using western cedar. He clearly explained the differences between the two and allowed me to make up mind as to what to use. I ended up going with western cedar which cost a little bit more for the materials but the longevity and durability of the material is why I selected it. Either route you take, the labor costs are the same! Within a week I executed the contract along with a 50% deposit to secure my commitment towards the project and during that same week, the crew came out to dig, erect, and secure the fence posts. After letting them settle for a couple of days, the crew was back out and completed the job in no time! I was pleasantly surprised that Franklin Fence & Deck was able to complete my project during the holiday season, this is sometimes a challenge with other businesses shutting down. The Crew: I was amazed how polite, respectful, and sincere these two guys were while working on our job. Each morning they would ring the door bell to announce they had arrived and at the end of the day, they would ring the doorbell again to let us know they were leaving and communicated to me what they had accomplished throughout the day, as well as stated what they planned to do the next day. Totally IMPRESSIVE! Do yourself a favor.... If you are considering using Franklin Fence & Deck and are "on the fence" (no pun intended - ha ha) be rest assured that they will arrive when they say, complete the work on time, keep you informed throughout the process, and delivery a quality product at a very fair price. I am one who has high expectations and these guys exceeded!

It went great. He came to the house, gave me a quote, suggested two different kinds of wood, used the stain required by my HOA and they did the entire job in one day. They made a change to the construction per my request and it was not only done promptly, it was done professionally. I highly recommend this company. They cleaned up after themselves, they stuck to the budgeted quote and he called after the job was done to make sure all was well.

Did not use them due to the discrepancies in measurements and the higher price.

We contacted Franklin Fence & Deck to give us a quote on replacing a 17x14 deck. Mike Costello contacted us within 4 hours to schedule a visit. He came a couple days later armed with albums of completed work. He took measurements and discussed various options. We opted for 24x14 deck with different stair configuration and bronze balisters instead of wood (saw this in one of his pictures). Work was started as scheduled. The workmen were friendly and answered all questions. They fixed the french doors that we could not open. Work was completed in 3 1/2 weeks. We are thrilled with the results. Even one of the inspectors commented on the quality of work. We would (and have) recommend Franklin Fence & Deck. The cost was $6700 and was the lowest of 3 bids.

Franklin Fence gave us a very good estimate, and agreed to work with an antique arbor/gate that we purchased elsewhere. They arrived on the date promised, removed the old wooden fence, and installed the new fence and arbor. They were very meticulous in their work, and even took away a piece of junk concrete my neighbor had sitting against her fence. It looks great, and we're really pleased. The owner came by to check on the work the next day, and when we said that we hadn't realized the arbor had an opening large enough for our small dog to escape, he immediately started looking for a solution, even though it was our mistake - not his. They are great, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Overall, the project progressed without a hitch, with the exception of unavoidable rain delays. The work crew was very attentive and responsive to any and all concerns and questions. The result is a deck that has extended my living space and definitely added to the overall beauty and functionality of my home.

Since they haven't done the work yet I'll update this report as soon as it has been completed.

We have been extremely pleased with the beauty and function of our 27 year old Franklin Fence Company fence, but it was worn out. We had been so please with the quality of our original fence that we felt comfortable giving our "repeat" business to Mike Costello and Franklin Fence Company. Mike was able to create another quality design we wanted in our new fence and give us a fair quote on our new cedar fence. It took longer than planned to complete due to the daily rain storms, which was unavoidable. One area that we felt sure was going to be a challenge was beautifully solved as they completed the work. This company has been in business for 28+ years for a reason; the work is done right.

We hired them and they are actually doing the job for us. They haven’t started the project yet. We would use their services again in the future.

Our landscaper broke the self closing hinges on our fence gate. Franklin Fence and Deck replaced them, and the gate is as good as new. They were a little slow in e-mailing us, and they asked for a deposit up front before they would schedule the work. Thereafter, it was done in about a week.

The owner could not make it out at the last minute and called to say he was sending out one of his employees to give me an estimate. The person that came out was very nice and tried to provide some guidance on the estimate, but he didn't know exactly what was the best route and gave a very rough estimate which seemed high to me. He thought the owner would have more suggestions on how to do the repair and said he would have him call me the following week. I never heard back from them.

I highly recommend talking to Mike Costello. I was very pleased with our conversation and the quality of service provided by his company. They were able to replace the locks on our fence and gave sound advice regarding our deck. I will most definitely use them again, should I have the need...and have already recommended them to my neighbor!

Wonderful company to work with. We had poor weather, but Mike worked thru it and even came back after hours to pick up some paperwork I'd forgotten to give him. They were great and our fence looks wonderful. I wouldn't have a doubt in using Mike again.

Everything has gone excellent! They are professional and knowledgeable. They are very good. They showed up on time and did what they said they would.

Unlike my experience with another contractor, the initial contact and estimate process was professional without any pressure. Mike walked me through the process of deciding on features. After I decided to go with them, the only delays, all minor, were associated with the various inspections needed to comply with building codes. The crew who did the actual work were professional and personable, but also went to great lengths to be unobtrusive. The result is a real pleasure to see and use. It has drawn several positive comments from visitors.

We were originally quoted a much higher price, and we told them that at that price we would have to put the project on hold. (We knew that this company was not the lowest price contractor.) They called back and said they had a special from their supplier and could install a deck for $3500. Installing a deck only 18 in. high was a challenge for them, but they did an excellent job meeting our requirements to match the height of our back door threshold. We were very satisfied with their work. They did the work on a reasonable schedule despite the very hot weather. We love our deck.

On Monday morning when Phil came over to start the new deck, he told me that he would have it finished by the end of the week and that I would actually be walking on it by Wednesday or Thursday. Sure enough, the deck was finished as promised. At least one day he worked in the rain and couple of days he sat in his truck during a rain shower and then went right back to work as soon as the rain stopped. He was very nice and patiently answered all my questions. Phil is an expert carpenter and my deck is totally custom made - no hardware store precut rails or anything. It is very beautiful and you really can't beat the quality you get from Franklin Fence & Deck.

The price was a little high, but I feel like I got what I paid for. The quality definitely made up for the price. He was brutally honest, which we appreciated and very personal, yet professional. He was a wonderful character to work with and I tell everyone that I know about him. The owner of the company is Phil Sandler. I would highly recommend using him.
