We hired FES to remediate our crawlspace. They showed up and when I showed their team of workers the quote for $9k with the steps laid out as quoted, making sure we were all on the same page, their team informed me that they had NO direction to complete the work the way it was quoted. They didn't even have the right tools in their truck. When I spoke to Paul, a co-owner who previously disclosed that he came on board with FES because of a legal issue with his prior company Auntie Gen, I was screamed at. Literally. When I spoke to Keith, the owner of FES, instead of offering to provide the services his company was planning on taking my money for, he decided to pull his team out immediately without even an apology. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a contractor. All of this happened in front of my husband who is a general contractor and we were both absolutely floored with the way they handled the entire situation. Even their team said they were in the wrong. This company is completely untrustworthy and I would never pay them a cent. We hired Crawlspace Brothers who did an absolutely fantastic job and treated us like customers instead of dog poop. Lesson learned. Stay Away.

in 2014 Keith and his team did the work including installing a dehumidifier. We recently noticed some water buildup around the dehumidifier. Keith came out and immediately diagnosed the problem and clean out a clogged drain and line. He also cleaned up all the water. We realized, at this time, that we had not been changing out the filter every six months per the manual. Keith apologized that he nor his team had not emphasized the importance of changing the filter regularly. The work today was six years after installation and he did charge us for the service today. Excellent job!!!

FES was truly awesome right from the very first meeting. Keith the owner came out himself. I had gotten probably five other estimates and still did not feel comfortable giving the job to anybody at this point due to the nature of this job being very big and costly. The reason I gave Franklin Environmental Services the job was not because they were the lowest estimate (nor were they the highest) but because of the fact that the owner himself came out not only the first time but two other times to discuss my concerns and questions at NO CHARGE! The next day he gave me a broken down estimate as I had requested which was specifically detailed to my house not just a cookie cutter estimate like some of the other folks that came out. I must say I made the best decision! Keith and his crew were here probably 4 to 5 days and not only did they clean all the mold so well that it looks like I have new floor joists but my entire crawlspace now looks like I could live down there! This company definitely pays attention to detail and even the small things which I think is also important on such a big job. They dug/made some sort of French drain on the outside of the wall where water was coming in my crawlspace. I definitely went in with a budget and Keith gave me several options to make it happen where it was doable for me. What company does that these days?! I will close with this, I am not an easy gal to please! I will be the first one to speak up if something is wrong but I will also be the first one to praise anybody who I think did an outstanding job and they really did! Get it done right the first time and be done.

I had a significant potential issue with radon test results done by my home inspector that would have prevented closing on the purchase of my new home. I was able to get Keith/Franklin to come out quickly with two additional radon testing machines in order to get more data. Turned out my home inspector's machine was in need of recalibration and was not reading accurately. Thanks to Keith, we were able to figure that out and proceed with the closing on my new home as planned.

Our home had a passive radon system installed when it was built. After purchasing a Corentium Home Radon Detector and testing for a couple of months, we found that our long-term readings averaged in the mid 4 pCis. Short-term readings varied daily, at times close to 7 pCi. Since action is advised above 4 pCi, we contacted Keith for a consultation. Keith was punctual and recommended that we turn our passive system into an active one. Keith did everything he could to ensure that our installation was properly completed. After installation, he tested the radon levels in our home. Not only did this validate our readings, it also ensured the fan was working properly. Keith was a pleasure to work with, and we would work with him again. The picture attached shows the readings before installation and over a month later based on our radon detector (which the numbers s/b slightly lower as calibrated against Keith's radon detector).

Keith and his crew did an outstanding job!! Keith was very professional and thorough and recommended only the necessary work to fix the problem but also gave me options to go a step above if desired. He recommended to get a second quote from a competitor and after I did, it only reinforced my feelings that he was the right choice. He gained my confidence on the first visit and didn’t disappoint. I will be using them again if I ever need additional services.

I got a total of 4 estimates. He and his company very much impressed me with his thoroughness, professionalism and responsiveness. He will be my first choice for any work I need that his company does.

I purchased my current home about a year ago, the home is approximately ten years old. My crawl space had mold and a poorly installed vapor barrier. I got estimates from four contractors. Keith had the knowledge and experience to do the job correctly at a fair price. I would highly recommend him. I am satisfied with his work but if anything should change I will up date this review.

Keith and his team were extremely helpful, responsive and professional. I had some unusual circumstances in my crawlspace, since my 100 year old house is on pier foundations, and part of my crawlspace was not accessible. Keith developed a plan for my specific issues. The work was done extremely thoroughly. I was very impressed with their attention to detail. I had some odor issues after the encapsulation, and Keith was very attentive in fixing the problem, which he did. In fact, I have never experienced such amazing customer service. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

Keith was extremely knowledgeable about his field and took the time to be sure I understood the work and the possible outcomes, including the additional costs should a single line not lower our radon levels to an acceptable range. He was professional, friendly, courteous, punctual, and honest, and his price was competitive. He and his team did an expert job in a very reasonable time frame. I would hire him again without hesitation and do refer him to friends and family who are looking for radon and mold mitigation.

Keith is very knowledgeable in this field. His very excellent team does the work, but he is there to insure things are done right. Not the cheapest, but I felt like the best. Was accommodating when we had to move the basement radon exhaust pipe to a different location. Would definitely use again.

Absolutely AMAZING work!!! Luis was the main worker and Keith came by to help out. Not only were they utterly professional, but they went above and beyond. Keith is a genuine guy and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone!!!

Timely and fair estimation of cost. Work was also done promptly. Luis and James were very professional and did an excellent job installing the system. All interactions with management were great. Some of the nicest people I have dealt with in a very long time.

Keith's men removed debris from the crawlspace, leveled the rock, and installed a new vapor barrier. They did an excellent job, and I am very happy with the work. The result actually exceeded my expectations. I would definitely use Franklin Environmental Services again and recommend them.

Keith and his crew are fantastic. Our levels were over 40 pCi/L and we were concerned our radon levels were too high to be fixed. We had another radon mitigation company out to give us an estimate before we talked to Keith and they told us ours was probably just too high to be fixed, which is horrible news for a homeowner to hear. But Keith assured us that it could be fixed and he would keep working on our house until he got it below 4 pCi/L, so we went with him and I am so thankful we did. Ours was not an easy job - despite the high radon levels themselves, we have an old house built over a dirt cellar which is full of nooks and crannies. They installed a vapor barrier over the entire space plus the radon mitigation system, and after about a week of work our number fell to below 2 pCi/L. Keith and his crew are top notch and we will recommend them to anyone who needs radon mitigation!

Keith was great to work with. Our radon levels were far above the recommended 4.0 or less. After the radon vent pipe was installed, our levels were averaging 0.4. I was very happy with the service and the price of the work.

Loved working with this company. Very professional from beginning to end. Came out to house, took a look, explained process, fit me into schedule so we could be done before closing on house, followed through in every way. It was a real pleasure working with such a professional staff.

FES owner, Keith came out and carefully checked out the whole crawlspace providing pictures and answering any questions I had. He had extensive knowledge about crawlspace health and was very good at explaining all the options. Keith's quote was just a little more than than the other quote I had received but the FES mold remediation was much more thorough and also included installation of pipes for a passive radon system. He and his team spent around 4 days doing the job. They were all very professional and knew what they were doing. It was raining during the entire install and they were very careful not to make a mess. The crawl space looks completely different now. Before it was a wreck and had started to have humidity issues. Now it's clean and dry enough to store belongings down there.

The project went extremely well. Keith (the owner) is easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Before the work he gave me a detailed estimate-which was a fair price compared to my other estimates. All the mold remediation was done in accordance with IICRC S520 guidelines. His crew of four men under his supervision started around 9am and finished around 4pm the same day. They established containment with a HEPA filter air scrubber and vacuumed the wood. They applied EPA antimicrobial, wiped and vacuumed again. He used an air mover to dry the area, and let me keep it over the weekend. I would highly recommend this company. You won't be disappointed.

Keith was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and thoroughly answered all of my questions when he came out to quote the repair. He was also available very quickly and provided a detailed quote, which were critical since we were in the inspection period for purchasing a house. The sellers chose to go with another company for the repair based on price.

It went well. Mr. Phillips came to our home at the appointed time and placed a monitor that measured radon in the air. He told us that it needed to be in place for around 72 hours. At the end of the test, he returned and downloaded the data for us and showed us that we did not require mediation. He followed up with a written report in about a week. An inexpensive way to get a bit of piece of mind.

Keith and his team were very professional and completed quality work. The installation effort was delayed due to rain, which prevented some aspects of the job from occurring. The team was very flexible in accommodating our schedule to finish portions of the job that had not been able to be completed due to weather. Hard workers with great results!
