The whole transaction was terrible. The original order with Barry Inman on 11/19/13. The order was for two garage doors and openers at a cost of $5,280.05 - of which a deposit of $2,640 was paid. Mr Inman came and measured the door openings at least twice. About 3 weeks after the original order I called and ordered an additional additional high-rise door ( making the order $8,247.00). This was for the same exact door but with an opener that mounts to the wall rather than hanging down from the ceiling. This allows for the door to rise and store on tracks mounted closer to the ceiling thus creating a higher clear space in the garage. Mr. Inman told me that the door price would be the same. He said the opener and tracks would be a little more and when I questioned he said not more than "a couple hundred dollars". I interpreted that as $200 and proceeded with the additional order. It has taken forever to get these doors and get them installed correctly. First the doors that were ordered and installed were the wrong size doors for the openings. Next the high rise lift system was incorrectly installed and was virtually creating the same clearance as a normal opener. The wrong size tracks were ordered. Furthermore of the numerous times that the installers have been to my house, not once has a mistake not been made. The list goes on and on. Not only did a cavalcade of mistakes happen. The order took forever. The final installation took place on June 26th of 2014. More than 6 months from the original order. These garage doors have been the biggest pain of our entire renovation project. I felt like a 10% reduction to the invoice was more than fair given the errors and time delays associated with the transaction. Unfortunately, they believe that full payment is deserved and we are at an inpasse.

I called the office Monday, the 29th of April and was told the field rep would call me to confirm an appointment for Wednesday, the 1st of May. The field rep called me Tuesday morning the 30th of April (the day after my initial call) and was ready to come out and work on my garage door. This was fine with me because I was home with no pending appointments for the day. I explained that one spring on the garage door had been broken for about a month. He explained that he should replace both of the springs since a great deal of extra pressure had been put on the only one that was working. I told him to replace them both. The repairman went to work and was finished in approximately an hour. The cost was $340.00 .

I called them because one of the springs is not put on correctly. They have not called me back. My overall experience with them has been average. Their prices, responsiveness and punctuality are all good. I have to keep using their service because they're the ones that installed the garage doors.
Description of Work: They handle my garage doors on all of my condos.
