Nathan and his guys were able to start the job the afternoon before the schedule date in order to preparation work - scrape, fill and sand cracks and caulk as needed. Nathan and the crew showed up on time, were professional and considerate of us and our cat! They did everything we asked them to do. We are very pleased with the end result and would definitely recommend Nathan to our friends and as a Realtor, I would not hesitate to recommend Blackstone Painters to my clients.

I've never used professional painters before, but have done my own painting (without any painting skills). I don't think I can ever go back!! Nathan and his crew did a beautiful job, everything is fresh and perfect. I want them to paint everything inch of the house, inside and out now!! From the beginning of the project, they carefully covered all furnishings remaining in the rooms, prepared the walls and moldings as needed and, when finished, cleaned up immaculantly. The only snag in the project was that we had to reschedule painting dates due to the painters' schedule which was frustrating to me since I had carefully arranged my schedule to be home on the dates originally scheduled. Nathan did work with me and was pleasant and apologetic --nonetheless, the change scrambled my week.

We received quotes from 3 Angies List A rated companies. Blackstone's rep was the only one to carefully exam the deck and make suggestions as to how it could be improved. He explained that they had never used DeckOver and that he would have to investigate the material and application procedures before providing a quote. A week later we received his very detailed quote which was much higher and more detailed than the other two. We accepted it. Blackstone Painters did follow the DeckOver detailed procedures and spent over 25 man hours to produce a beautifully restored deck as promised by Behr. We are pleased with the care and professionalism of Blackstone Painters and expect to use them in the future. .

Everything went fine. They did an excellent job, and even painted over places we forgot to mention to them. Will use them in the future.

Blackstone painters were professional and very pleasant to work with. They came on the agreed upon date to start the project and they were very punctual each day. I purchased a coupon from Angies's list and they gave me the best service possible I believe. They respected my home as they did their work. They did a beautiful job on each of the three rooms painted. I will be using them again as I have other paint projects.

Nathan and his crew were extremely professional, courteous and trustworthy. They handled my indecisiveness and possible last minute color change with ease and did an awesome job overall (even working around a house full of people/guests). I'm very happy and impressed with the results and plan to use them again for future jobs. I can't comment too much on the price, as I didn't get other estimates. Met with Nathan for an initial estimate, and got a good feeling about him and his work, so I went with my instinct; definitely glad I did. You can probably find someone to do a job for cheaper, but you get what you pay for. He also didn't try to make extra money on the paint which I'm sure some other painters would do. I appreciate their attention to detail and quality work. I felt comfortable leaving the house while they were working as they treated my home as if it was their own which is important to me. You won't be disappointed.

Nathan arrived on time, provided a clear estimate and completed the work as requested despite some complications with the repairs being more extensive than originally beleived. He also completed additional tasks at my request and charged me a very reasonable price. It was easy and well done. The work looks great.... I will definitely use his services again.

Nathan, Mike, and Paul were amazing!!! They came when they said they would, even a little early. Nathan walked me through the process, told me upfront how much everything was going to be. Of course I started adding things, which they very gracious about. They were so professional and helpful! All around fantastic job. Nathan made sure everything was done properly and oversaw a great crew! WELL DONE!!

My initial project was smaller and was bid with three contractors. I received a much less expensive bid from another contractor with very little explanation and little actual review of the job. Nathan did a detailed review and explanation of what I specified. The job grew from there and Nathan made suggestions that resulted in a better job. I chose Nathan despite being more expensive because I felt that he had fairly estimated the job and would not cut corners. 37214He performed everything in the agreed upon time frame and he and his crew did very good work. We were completely satisfied. I plan to use Blackstone again in the future.

Lot's of time needed to get all details on contract despite vendor's picture taking during bid process. All issues/concerns including materials issue with paint store-resolved by Blackstone. Had biggest concern with rain causing "paint blisters" on deck- 48 hours after paint applied. Am promised resolution should blisters reappear within 3 months. Fast Forward 3 months later, all the paint on the deck has came off. Blackstone is not coming out to finish the work, and it looks like I am going to be spending a lot of money for the same project that only lasted 3 months.

I called and the owner came out to give me a quote. He took measurements and contacted me a few days later with a quote. I asked him to start on the project about a week or so after that. He usually had a small team (1-2) people working with him and was always on site when work was being done. They didn't rush the work and did a very professional job. They always showed up when they said they would and kept me up to date on what was going on. They readily asked questions for clarification when needed and did exactly what needed to be done. I was very pleased with the entire experience and plan to use them again.

We've used them twice, this review encompasses both experiences. They are NOT the cheapest in town, for certain, but they are the best we've seen. We've seen and used Coupons on here from other providers like "Painter for a day", and were not impressed with them at all. In fact, you can obviously tell which walls were done by the Coupon people versus the professional results from Blackstone. When we called them, they answered the phone the first time, and came out to look at the job within a couple days. It took a few days to get a quote, since he's the painter and the owner and the phone answering person and the quoter, etc, etc, and when they did, we had a bit of sticker shock. We looked around at other prices, and they were a couple hundred dollars over some of the higher quotes, but their reviews were excellent so we gave them a try. There were parts of the trim that had to be stripped, repaired, and painted, and they didn't charge us extra to do that, which was amazing considering the work that had to be done. We did, however, add some things to the job as they were here and they quoted full-price for those items, which we were happy to pay since they had done so much extra on the other items. They were a little slower and very methodical but, as I learned along the way, good results take that kind of time. True to their word, they put down 2 coats on everything, using professional equipment, not just basic builder-grade rollers from Home Depot, etc. They were also able to obtain a discount on the paint and materials which they passed along to us, not marking things up which was very helpful. In the end we liked the results so much that we had them come back out and finish everything in different rooms. Again, although they're not the cheapest, they're probably the best painters I've ever seen in years of owning and remodeling homes. You won't be disappointed with the results, the workers are professional and polite, they cover your floors, don't mess up things, don't smoke in your home, and treat your property with respect, all of which are hugely important in people who will be traipsing through your home for days at a time. Professionals with professional results is about how I would sum this company up. Thanks again for all your hard work!

I'm a picky jerk. If there is something wrong, I'll nit-pick it. Nathan and his guys are pros. Sure, there were a couple items I picked-on, and there was NO attitude, just an "oh, sorry, we'll fix that", and it was done immediately. You can trust him and his crew to do the job correctly, and if you have a certain way you want it done, he'll actually listen to you.

Blackstone did an excellent job the first time I used them, so that is why I gave them the 2nd job. Nathan Blackstone is very professional, knowledgeable, personable, thorough, and takes pride in his work. Last year, he did the work himself, but this year, he had a small crew to help. I found that the crew did an excellent job as well. If I wasn't comfortable with the way the paint or stain looked, they were more than happy to address the problem. Overall, I would recommend them to others, and I will probably use them again. I've already got a couple of potential items in the works.

The very first time we hired Nathan, he went well above and beyond... and basically guaranteed that we'd be repeat customers. We'd just moved into a new home, and needed a LOT of painting and touch-ups done. But what was supposed to be fairly straightforward (all the existing paint was left behind by the previous owners), turned into a moderate nightmare when it became clear that they'd actually MIXED many of the finishes together, creating something entirely custom for each of the many walls that needed repair & repainting. Nathan not only identified the problem (and we've dealt with plenty of painters who would've simply patched a spot with a different finish and be on their way), he painstakingly experimented with mixing the paints until he arrived at an exact match. For his perfectionism alone I'd hire him again in a minute. But add to that his honesty and professionalism, and I can't imagine hiring anyone else.

They were fast and also took care to make sure everything was done perfectly. I would use them again and again.
