After getting 5 quotes to replace our home windows, we chose Brad and Zen Windows and we are very glad we did. Zen was not the cheapest or the most expensive but his windows were top quality and every review we saw mentioned his incredible installment team lead by Juan. They install the right way with expanding foam insulation and the windows are top notch for the price. We went with the Nirvana windows, which are double hung and tinted solar glass for optimum efficiency. We had one issue with balances being missing in a few windows from the factory but what was reassuring is that Brad communicated with us the entire time and let us know they would get it right, and they absolutely did. In addition, Zen didn't ask for any upfront payment nor did they ask for payment at all until the entire job was done to our satisfaction and to boot, Brad came out personally and inspected each of our 15 windows to ensure they were good to go. Highly recommend them. For something this big and expensive you need 1) good communication and 2) a great installer. Fortunately for us, Brad and Zen Windows had both.

We called the numbers given for service to repair window however we have had no response. Assume they are interested in small project.

I've worked with Brad and Zen Windows twice now to install my windows in my old home, and both times Brad and his team were a pleasure to work with. They are honest every step of the way, something that I value very much. His team work efficiently, took off their shoes before coming inside and didn't stop working until the job was done. Three years ago I did extensive research looking for a company to replace five windows in our house. We eventually set up a meeting with Brad, the owner of Zen Windows who explained the advantages and disadvantages of the many options we had. Brad is very congenial and in no way placed any pressure on us, but rather encouraged us to check with other sellers. Eventually we decided to have Brad put in five new windows and after three years we were more than pleased with all aspects of our purchase. The best recommendation I can give for Zen Windows is to tell you that we have just this week bought 20 more windows that today Brad and his crew completed installing... which is to say that every window in our house plus a couple of doors are from Zen Windows. The best thing about Brad is that before starting the installation he promises to keep working with his customers until they are happy with all aspects of the work. In addition, he and his crew were exceptionally professional and respectful throughout our interaction.

If there were a better rating, Zen Windows would get an A+++. Who knew this process could be this easy? After meeting with two other window companies and having to endure the "dog and pony show" for several hours, plus high pressure sales techniques, Brad (owner) was a refreshing change from the norm. We were given a quote via email (less than half the price of Renewal by Anderson and Home Depot), no questions were left unanswered, and when we requested to see an actual sample of the window, Brad was happy to come out to our home and show us the features and benefits of the Nirvana Softlite Window that we chose. After the windows were ordered, we were given a date for installation. A week before installation, we were sent a reminder with instructions. Brad arrived promptly on the day of installation, along with his 3 member crew. Brad was in and out during the day and constantly checking to see that things were going smoothly. The installation crew were courteous, efficient, and cleaned up any mess that was made. They removed our blinds and put them back up, even installing two new blinds. They answered any questions we had during the installation process. The windows are beautiful and we are extremely pleased with them. We would highly recommend using Zen Windows for your replacement windows and doors. Brad was a pleasure to work with and we would definitely call him in the future.

Our windows were original to the house, which was built in 1981. After considerable research and receiving bids from several contractors, we had Zen replace all of our home's windows (19). We chose Zen because we felt they were the best value for the price, had excellent insulation specs, and are very well-made. The warranty was also better than that being offered by most companies. Zen did an excellent job. The windows were manufactured and arrived within the time estimated. The installation crew was very professional and did a great job. We are very pleased and would recommend Brad at Zen without hesitation.

After much research we chose ZEN to replace our windows. Brad and his team did a tremendous job, were very professional, responsive, and reliable. The quality of the product meets and exceeds our expectations and the cost proved to be a great value.The installation was on schedule and went as promised. I chose Zen Windows and Brad based on meeting him in person at the time of the estimate as well as the positive reviews. During the job, Brad's team didn't show up as scheduled and and didn't complete the job. I called him and asked him why he walked off the job without notice after completing about 20% of the project, and all he would say is 'my guys wanted no part of the job.' I asked him about the written guarantee he provided on his initial estimate and got silence on the other end of the phone. Here is his promise that he didn't fulfill: Your Zen Windows Promise is attached. Prepared for you by Brad Alexander/Owner. It's not an estimate. It's a promise. A promise that it won't change when we come to measure or do the work. Very disappointed in the company and owner.

All went smoothly until it was identified that the three windows in our kitchen were not included. They installed 26 of the 27 windows (1 window was not on the truck). All that was left was the sealing of the windows and given expected rain, advised they would return in a couple of days as the caulking would not set with rain. They also advised that they would return with the missing window. Over a month went past and no word from Zen and no reply to our emails. We had evidence of water getting into the home (as windows were not sealed) and even had another company come out to document that water was getting in (and if water is getting in, you can be sure water was getting in between the walls). After following up several more times with Zen we then received an apologetic email and that they would be out soon. It took several weeks for them to come out and install the remaining window and seal the windows. Left with a very bad taste in our mouth.

Everything about this experience was positive. After spending several weeks researching replacement windows and learning more than I ever wanted to know about windows in the process, I found Zen Windows Nashville. Read all the excellent reviews, and filled out the request for an online quote from their website. The response was immediate, and communication continued that way throughout the entire process. The owner Brad Alexander came out to measure himself, offered me an exterior color to match the trim on the house, and fully explained the entire process, from measuring and ordering to delivery and installation. I ordered the Nirvana windows, the mid-level grade, and couldn't be happier. Everything Brad promised was delivered: on time, professionally, and to my complete satisfaction. While the other quotes were a little less, the difference was negligible given the quality of the windows, the TVA-certified installers, and the rebate/credit from my electric company for the certified installation. (After getting my quote/window info from Brad, I contacted the two other companies from whom I'd gotten quotes for some clarification on their offers and products, as I wanted to compare the actual windows/manufacturers. One failed to even respond, presumably once he realized I now had accurate information about quality windows and the installation process and knew he was hawking an inferior product/installation; the other told me my technical question referred to my HVAC unit. What??) People, with a home improvement project this large, and the safety/efficiency/beauty of your home at the center, make sure you are paying for a professional window and door company. The install of my 12 windows was slated to take two days, and Brad offered Saturday installation so I wouldn't have to miss two days of work. We set a tentative date, then Brad actually emailed and offered an earlier date if I wanted it! Had it not been for a prior commitment, I'd have jumped on it. When installation day came around, the guys arrived with the truck a little earlier than expected, which was fine with me; turns out they loaded the windows from the warehouse the night before to save some time, and I was glad they did! Brad came out to the house shortly after the installers arrived to check on everything and hung out for a bit to make sure everything was going well. How many companies have you worked with where the owner himself communicates with you, and is at the site the day of the job? You won't find this service and professionalism with a big box store. The installers, Jose and Manuel, were kind and professional. They worked like a well-oiled machine, and even though they had been expecting a third worker, the two men installed all 12 windows in a single day. Jose never hesitated to answer my questions, and both men were friendly yet unobtrusive, taking care to work around my animals (two dogs and several cats) without any concerns. They cleaned the windows and all the installation debris, made sure I knew how the windows worked, and made sure I was satisfied before loading up and leaving for the day. The windows are amazing, a true breath of fresh air, and the house looks great. Guess I had to go through the headache of the quotes from the other companies to realize what an absolute gem Zen windows is. Do your due diligence as a homeowner and get multiple quotes for window replacement, just make sure Zen Windows is one of the companies. After talking with Brad, you will feel much better about the entire process, and the owner will be right there to help with any questions. He's also taking care of contacting TVA for an inspection for the electric company credit. Really, really happy with the windows, company, and process.

It went very well. Was pleased with the product and the service and labor. The owner, Brad Alexander was very professional and helpful, and even helped put my shades and rods back up after. :) The soft-lite window product is great and the trim work looks very good as well.

I am very pleased with my new windows and with the company. Brad provided me with product, manufacturer and warranty data for Softlite windows. Other companies I had come out to quote didn't even provide warranty data. I had a lot of questions for Brad and he was knowledgeable, patient, thorough and professional. I did further research and decided Zen Windows and the Softlite Nirvana window was for me. Nirvana is the mid-range model. Brad came out to take measurements and answered additional questions I had, again being thorough and professional. The windows came in within the quoted timeframe and I had an install date right after that. Brad was there during install and his crew did a great job. They were polite, cleaned up including cleaning my windows. They worked so hard and efficiently. My blinds were also installed. Well enough was enough with our 28 year old extremely heavy, drafty, fogged up, inoperable wooden windows. We decided it was time to finally update with some energy efficient replacement windows but where do you start having never faced this seemingly daunting task before. I like probably most everyone else knew of Pella and Anderson windows and continuously hear radio advertising of a local Home Design Showcase in Goodlettsville so I called all of these local distributors and began the process of setting up meetings to gather quotes. Two of the 3 required both my wife and myself be present before they would even set up a meeting time which I thought was odd to say the least but once I went through the process I knew why and it was all about sales PRESSURE. After receiving a couple quotes for what looked like a very similar product but with very different prices I decided to approach this like any other project I tackle and I went to Google to begin educating myself on Vinyl Replacement windows. WOW I never thought there would be so many different window manufacturers out there. Literally what seemed like 100s just made my decision making exponentially more difficult. I thought. I started reading reviews on windows and manufacturers from as many sources as I could like Consumer Reports, Consumer Resources, Angie’s List, Home Advisor, Consumer Affairs, Replacement Windows Reviews, and Home Owner Blogs etc… etc… There was a reoccurring theme the more I read and that was there were about 3 manufacturers that almost everyone agreed on in Quality and Price so I focused on those 3. I ran across another invaluable source and that was [*** Link removed ***] Since Soft Lite was one of the 3 manufacturers that continued to come up I sought out a local distributor and right on the Window Dog web page they recommended a local company called Zen Windows. Since Zen was one of only two Local Dealers on the Soft Lite web page I gave them a call. BEST DECISION I MADE DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCESS!! Brad answered my call and told me all he needed was the measurements of the windows needing replaced and a total number of windows which was 17. We also had the 6’ Back French Door quoted for replacement with a sliding back door with screen. He had a quote emailed to me in about 30 minutes with Product Brochures, Web Links to Soft Lite Window Virtual Demonstrations, Plant Tours and a map of local customers. Guess what I didn’t even have to have my wife present. Brad also encouraged me to get several other quotes before he hung up on the initial call. None of the other companies did that in fact one company told me my price was only good until they left my house and it would go up after that day. When I saw the quote I was BLOWN AWAY half the price of two other quotes and 2/3 Less than the other. After reading ALL THE OUTSTANDING Reviews about Zen and never touching a window or door (Even though I did drive by one local house a couple miles from me I found on the Map he sent in the initial Email and the exterior work looked very professional) we made the leap of faith and went with Zen. Brad came out to take measurements on each window and the back door. He answered all my questions and seemed extremely knowledgeable about the products he was using which made me feel much more comfortable. Once he had the measurements the order was placed and when he got confirmation on shipment he called and we set up an installation date. He also informed me on the front end 1 window did not ship as it was damaged in processing but that did not hold them up. The installer showed up on time and I could not believe how quickly they had the old windows out and the 16 new windows in, one day. The one damaged in shipment was the 24” Octagon nonoperational window so that was not a big deal. Day two they installed the new 6’ Back Sliding Glass Door and I could not believe the quality of this door. It made my old wood French door seem like it was paper thin. This new door feels so much more substantial and slides effortlessly. THIS IS NOT YOUR MOMS OLD SLIDING DOOR. They completed trimming out all the windows and doors, caulked everything completing in 2 days and left no trace that they were there other than a brand new look to my house and windows that were now operational and let in an abundance of light. Once I saw and felt theses new windows and back door I was 100% convinced I made the right choice going with Soft Lite products because these new windows and door are 100% Complete Quality and I couldn’t be happier. Once I went through this entire process I am again 100% convinced that we made the right choice in going with Zen Windows. I only wish I had found them first and eliminated 3 useless meetings that mostly just wasted my time. We live a couple hundred yards away from the Smyrna airport and I can honestly say the airport noise has all but vanished and I can’t wait to see the savings on my next electric bill. If you are reading this than I highly recommend just give Brad a call and don’t waste your time like I did unless you just like the high pressure sales pitch. Perfectly. I've gotten quite an education in windows and outfits that install them in the last two months. Zen is the 4th outfit that I contacted. There is no way I would do business with two of them, and the third was very high priced although informative about their windows. The first two seemed to want to keep secret what exactly were the window model and tech. features they were quoting on. I wasn't about to "buy a pig in the poke." In my research, I stumbled on the website "window dog" which is the home of Zen Windows. It educated me quite a bit and, in response to my request, it recommended Brad Alexander in Nashville. Dealing with Brad was a breath of fresh air! In his first visit, he took measurements, listened to what I wanted or needed (I'm in a condo so had to replace the same type of window (2 sliders and fixed center pane). That night he sent me an email with quotation & link to Zen Windows offerings, including the technical features and performance data. His recommended windows had all the desired features & performance standards described in Window Dog website When he returned, he answered a long list of questions to my satisfaction, and suggested a larger center pane than my existing windows -- before I was able to ask him if this would be possible. There was a little blimp in the next stage after I played the order when the factory advised that the "tilt&turn" feature wasn't available on the selected model so a change in model was made. The "tilt&turn" for the slider windows was critical so we could wash the windows from inside as we live on 2nd floor. The installation went as smoothly as the workers were obviously high skilled and good workers. They even installed curtain rods for me on all windows as no charge. They cleaned up everything after finishing and tested all the windows and took away every bit of trash and old windows. Brad was a pleasure to work with at every stage -- a n honest, knowledgeable and experienced professional I am now making a written recommendation to the condo office manager for Brad and Zen Windows instead of the outfit that had been installing windows here for decades. From start to finish it all went so well. Brad, the owner was there every step of the way. He got back to us right away with our estimate and sent out a brochure with the different choices of windows. At this point it was just our measurements of the windows he was going by. When we accepted the estimate he set up a date that was convenient for us. He came the house to get exact measurements. He was on time and spent time explaining all the different things about the windows. He is very easy to talk to and knows his windows. You can tell he is proud of his product and the work his crew does. We choose the Nirvana Windows, which were the middle grade. He then sent us our final order, which we accepted. Then he found out how long it would take to make the windows and called to set up an appointment for installation. It didn't take too long. Only a couple weeks. He called to confirm the appointment a few days ahead of the installation day. His crew of two men arrived on time. In addition Brad was there, too. He was there on and off throughout the entire installation process, which I thought was great. His crew worked so hard the entire time. They were very nice and very professional in their work. It took two days to install the all the windows. The crew left everything inside and out very, very clean. They even washed the new windows. The quality of the windows was so much better than the windows available at local stores. Having an owner that takes pride in his business and workers that take pride in their work was amazing. We'd have a lot more work done in our home if we could find that combination more often. We were replacing windows from 2001 that came with the house. These windows have made the house so much quieter. It was a nice surprise. And you can see through the screens so much better than what they replaced. It was a really good experience for us.

This is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Great product, great service, great everything. If you need replacement windows this is the place to go. Don't even look anywhere else.

Having never bought windows before, we began our search online. Zen Windows had outstanding reviews so I wanted to explore that company along with a few others (think those you see ads for on TV, like American Home Design) because I wanted to see what we could get at a good price and good quality. Problem was we've never bought windows before - where to start? How do you know what's best? Brad answered my phone call immediately and gave me a great summary of what to know about a window purchase, along with sending me an email with links to videos and info to understand more about the windows. He was able to send a quote within 30 minutes and encouraged me to get a quote from a few other companies (imagine that! encouraging you to talk to other companies). As I called the other companies, they took a message or I went online to set up an appointment (soonest was a week or two - argh). We sat down with American Home Design and their sales agent for about an hour and a half - another argh. Too long, the guy was too loud (with my kiddo taking a nap in another room) and while we did get to see the windows, it was a waste of time with a high pressure sales pitch at the end that was "decide today or else the price goes up about $3,000." Really?? - nothing would change as he walked out the door in terms of cost. Why make me decide right away when I wasn't ready? After this sales visit, we canceled the one other one we set up with another company and called Brad at Zen Windows to get things started (by the way - no deposit or payment needed until work is complete). He came out to measure, ordered our windows, kept us up to date and was on time getting our windows installed about 3 weeks later after the windows were manufactured and shipped to him. His crew was great and cleaned up - outside and in. While the window order was 2 windows short, Brad was clear and honest about going back to find out why and he quickly ordered the other two windows, set up a time to come back (and was on time and smooth sailing again). He also took care of a tempered glass window that we weren't happy with getting that replaced at the same time (I misunderstood what tempered glass actually was - thought it was more like a mirrored window - so my mistake). I love the windows - the quality is great. Already a huge difference - draftiness is gone and the outside noise is also reduced. I will absolutely recommend Zen to others here in the Nashville area (and I've already told my brother who lives out of marketing in Ohio to check in Zen in his market to replace one of his windows). Go ahead and sit through one sales pitch with any other company and then talk to Brad at Zen Your decision will be very easy!

Fantastic. Brad and his crew are very professional, clean, and polite. Estimate: It was such a pleasure to not have to worry about high pressure sales and attempts to "up sale" me. The quote is done online with you providing the quantity and measurements. If you want to purchase then he comes out for a hard measure to ensure no errors. Installation: The Zen crew showed up on time and worked without stopping until they were complete, the work areas were all clean, and they provided demo of all window operations. These guys are first class!

From quote to installation Brad does nothing but inspire confidence and trust in not only his knowledge but the ability to do outstanding work. We installed a new sliding door that we found out, during the install, had quite a bit of subfloor damage. I assumed the door would have to wait now until we hired someone for that mess... Nope! He and his crew MAGNIFICENTLY fixed THAT damage, along with installing the door. He ENSURED the job was done correctly. I cannot say ENOUGH about Brad. It was nothing but a ZEN experience!!!!

We had 10 windows replaced in a house built in 1945. Brad gave us estimates on replacing several different numbers of windows, since we weren't sure whether we wanted to have all of them done at once or not. He gave us an estimate based only on our measurements of the windows, and then came out to get more precise estimates for the job after we had agreed to have the work done. The installation went well. Brad was here throughout, and the workers were friendly. They basically did everything they said they would, when they said they would, and did a good job. I'd definitely use them again.
