F&D Plumbing

I called several plumbers on a Saturday evening around 7 pm. While waiting for any responses I found F&D in Etowah and left a message indicating the urgency of the repair (water was gushing out of the ground in my yard). Within 10 minutes, I received a call that they were on the way and was happy to see the owner and his son in my yard. They repaired the water line break and would not leave until I had water again (checking several sites). Fred explained everything he would need to do and did exactly as he said. He plans to return to complete an additional job this week with the necessary parts. I am so happy with his promptness and his workmanship. I will call on him again and would recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing work. I appreciate that he was the only person who responded to my emergency.

they came in and dug a trench from the road to house and under house to connections , also capped well so it was not going to the house, fix the dirt back on the trench cleaned everything up and was fast only took three hours to get us water we needed

Frustrating experience all the way around. The owner came to our house and made an estimate for a bathroom remodeling project. We verbally agreed, and purchased approximately $3800.00 worth of fixtures and supplies so that the work could begin. Everything fell apart after that. They failed to meet with us to finalize plans or to start the work on numerous occasions. Seemed to be interested in the job, but failed repeatedly to meet any commitment. We cancelled plans so that we could meet with them at agreed upon times, only to have them not show. Usually we would receive a phone call at the last minute or after the fact that they would not be there. Finally, after several failures to start, they left a message that they would not do the work because they took offense when I insisted on a start date. I would recommend that any prospective customer avoid this company. I believe they got in over their heads and left us holding the bag.

The plumber is excellent and punctual. He is very reasonable and he does what is required and he stands behind his work. He is pretty prompt when I call them and is there the next day and sometimes the same day. I have used him several times over the past ten years.
