W&W Roofing

A neighbor had his metal roof installed by W&W and it looked fine. I had gotten the shaft from another roofing company (see my other reviews if you want to know about that experience, and that roofer's reply to my F review is total BS by the way). W&W Roofing, run by David Whitson (423-773-0469) put a metal roof on my house. It looks great. The price W&W Roofing charged was 25% less than any other roofing company had bid. Some of this savings may be because W&W Roofing uses a different metal supplier than most other roofers in the area. W&W Roofing uses Lyons Metal Roofing. You can see an interactive color chart for Lyons Metal Roofs here: http://tinyurl.com/pz69wlv. Many of the other roofers use JD Metals. Maybe this is why W&W Roofing's prices are less expensive. W&W Roofing installs the old fashioned style metal roof, with visible fasteners. This looks fine to me, plus my house is out in the country, I have a wood stove with chimney, and personally I'm glad I have fasteners. It's a safety feature when I have to walk around on my metal roof. W&W Roofing does not install seamless metal roofs. W&W Roofing is a division of W&W Landscaping in Erwin. Their roofing business is getting bigger every year. W&W Roofing, bottom line, offers a practical metal roof at a budget price. The crew was friendly and cleaned up after themselves. It wasn't completely without problems or disagreements. I called David Whitson after the job was completed (and paid for) to send back his crew to make a cosmetic improvement and put on 2 more snow guards. Personally I feel I should not have had to pay for this. He billed me $125. I told him I would mention this in the review I gave him. I can't really complain a lot because I got a fine metal roof at a bargain price.
