Description of Work: They reroofed the house.

Description of Work: beThis company quoted a commercial roof for us in the Summer of 2010. There appeared to be a leak in our building. After a delay, they gave us a quote which was $1000 higher that the next highest bid. They called for a complete overhaul on a small section of roof that dropped down from the main section. However, the next roofer came and noticed immediately that the guttering system was clogged and backflowing over the wall causing water to drain down the wall. This problem was corrected and immediately corrected the problem. Rather than pay approximately $3000, I paid less than $100. I informed them of this fact and told them that we would not need their services at that time. I would point out that they did the larger part of the roof for my dad a few years ago without any noticable problems. I was not privy to the price. Here's the rub. I do not hold it against someone who makes mistakes. I chalk it up to experience and go on. However, I do mind when someone becomes vinditive when a mistake is pointed out. This roofing company was contacted by my insurer and asked to evaluate the roof (can you say conflict of interest). The company told the insurance company that the building needed a new roof. After getting a notice of cancelation, I found out what this company had done. It took me a substantial amount of time and a letter from a commercial roofer stating the roof was in good condition before the insurance company would lift the cancellation. In my opinion, this company has been vindictive and sloppy in my specific case. I would never use a company again who would do work for you and then give a negative review to an insurance company.
