Description of Work: Under warranty Kitchen Aid scheduled Soll's to repair a freezer seal on my brand new fridge.

Description of Work: Worked on my downdraft vent, told me motor was broken and I should replace the whole appliance as it would cost too much to replace & charged me twice his usual service call fee. I found new motor online for $180 & called them back to tell them. The lady on the phone agreed with me on the cost and had the owner call me. I told him I did want to replace the motor and he said he would have to charge me over $450 just for labor plus the $180 part, to which I agreed, and he said he would come two days later and would call me with the exact time. (He also said the vent was $2,000 to replace -- I paid $600 and they are widely available for $800.) He never called back, so I called another local company, who said I only had loose screws and whoever had previously worked on it had broken off the screws surrounding the motor. They fixed it immediately by replacing & tightening screws for only labor charge. This is why I would never use or trust this company.
