I couldn't have asked for a better roofing experience. Cold rainy weather caused delays in my roofing job, and Steve always called to ensure that I was apprised of when he would be able to come out and work. He watched the weather and made sure that he didn't leave any of my roof exposed to the elements during the tear-off. They worked quickly and always cleaned up before they left each day. They are licensed by the state and insured.
Description of Work: Steve removed 2 layers of shingles from my house and installed new 30yr architectural shingles on both my house and garage. Additionally, he had to replace several pieces of rotten decking and moldy insulation from a slow leak around our chimney. The previous roof didn't have proper ridge venting, nor did it have proper flashing around the chimney and boots for the plumbing vent pipes. Steve corrected all of these issues during the re-roof and he even built a watershed behind the chimney so that water won't collect around the chimney.

Steve was very good to talk to on the phone, and came out promptly to look at our roof. Upon arrival, he soon won me over with his easygoing manner and clear communication about what he was seeing on our roof, and what he proposed to do about it. He provided me with a feeling of confidence in his competence and honesty, by proposing practical, low-cost solutions for our roof problems. After our acceptance of his proposal, despite bad weather for much of the week, he returned only one working day later than expected to get our roof done. In general, dealing with Steve gave us a different level of confidence than the great majority of the (dozen or so) roofers and contractors we'd had come out to the house. Not that they wouldn't have done good work, but where there was a difference of opinion, I believed Steve's explanations of what was going on with our roof. And where there was a difference in price, it seemed to me that several of the other roofers seemed to be making the job bigger than it needed to be.
Description of Work: Laid new 25-year shingle over existing, leaky roll roofing laid over our side sunroom. Replaced step flashing, resealed it to metal flashing. Blew leaves out of gutters, used metal to cover damaged areas in runoff valley that had been leaking.
