Mr. Vader and his helper arrived late on the first day of the job, each of them had a 16oz beer in hand. Began work and found some of the tools necessary for the task were not in the truck, both had to leave. Did not return until lunch hour was over, this time it was a 12 pack of beer in hand to last them until quitting time, which is between 3 and 3:30, they refuse to work 8 hour days. Each day after that they arrived later and later, or not at all, of course the drinking continued. I have respiratory problems and have no smoking signs everywhere that were ignored by the helper, each time he left the house for materials he would take time to smoke, upon reentering he smelled like a dirty ashtray, this continued each day. The workmanship was shoddy at best, the tile was being cut incorrectly thus wasting more than a reasonable amount. Each day tools were missing, material necessary to continue the days work we're not on the truck, again causing both to leave. Of the 13 days that both men were on the job, they worked and we're paid for approximately 80 hours. September 7th, my lungs and nerves couldn't take anymore and we asked them to pack up and leave. Of course the job was incomplete causing us to find someone else to finish, thus causing us additional cost. I would never recommend Vader's Plumbing to anyone. I believe even an outhouse is beyond their capabilities.

Description of Work: Got leaky bathroom faucet that was dripping. Called Vader to fix it. He came in, looked at faucet, tinkered with it using his wrench for 10 minutes and told me that the leaky faucet could not be fixed. I was told that the whole bathroom shower/faucet has to be replaced and the cost would be around $500 for labor/materials. He went on how complicated the work going to be due to the location of the pipes behind the shower stall. Told him I'd think about it. He left after I paid him the service call fee of $75. The drip on the faucet got worse after he left, hot water stop coming in. I called another plumber from the yellow pages. New plumber came in, told me he just have to replace some parts inside the bathroom faucet, worked on it for 30 minutes and got it fixed. He charged me $125 for parts and labor. He also told me my shower does not need replacement at all at that point in time. Faucet is fixed and no more dripping water.

Just after a new tennant moved into the home, they called stating the sink leaked. After determining it was a drain leak and not a supply leak, I advised them to not use that sink and I would get someone there ASAP. Being late on a Friday I was not so sure ofwhat I had said but I called Ken Vader and he was very pleasant and willing to "check it out" and fix it for me as soon as he finished his current job. He was very responsive to our needs and his price was very reasonable. I have had the opportunity to use him since and will continue to call on him to get things done.
Description of Work: Repaired drain link under the sink of a rental home I manage.
