He quit after two times and charged me a lot for self packaged chemicals that no other pool services wanted to use. My power was off the second time he came and it was too much trouble to call me so he quit.

I remember that pool 3 years ago. Prior to coming we explained we normally don't service weekly accounts that far away from our location, but you wanted us to come anyway because you were unhappy with another pool company closer to your location and you said there was no one else to take care of you. So we came out ... On our first trip out there, problems with the plumbing and and the age of the plaster made it nearly impossible to vacuum the pool. This was a very old pool. What normally would take 20 minutes to clean took an hour due to poor suction from the old plumbing setup. Still, we did not charge any more for the cleaning. On our 2nd trip to you (a 35 minute trip each way) there was no power to the equipment and the breaker wasn't working. - therefore we couldn't perform any maintenance to the pool. At that point it was a loss of time and money. Normally, we would charge a trip charge, as it was not our fault that the work could not be performed. However, we decided not to charge you, but instead to cut our losses with this new account and not move forward with future services. This pool had too many issues that needed to be fixed before we could move forward with cleanings. It became clear why you and the other pool company had issues. If the equipment worked properly on the pool, there wouldn't have been a problem. I will not apologize for things beyond our control. Even after the bad review you left, I hope that over the past 3 years you've gotten your plumbing and equipment problems resolved and you are enjoying the pool.

I called on 4/29 and asked to have my above ground pool opened. The owner, Jeff Smith, said he could do it on Monday 5/2 and I was amazed at how quick he could do the work. He was late getting to my house but did call to let me know that he would be running behind as he was getting some supplies. He spent about 3 hours opening my pool. He told me that I need to add a chemical at 7 that night, turn the pump off for 48 hours and then vacuum out what had settled. My issue is that after the 48 hours there was almost as much stuff in the bottom as there was when we was there. He did get a lot of leaves out but I have spent over 5 hours on it and I still do not have it all out. The person that opened my pool last year had gotten everything out and the pool had far more stuff in the bottom than it did this year. Also he left some empty chemical bottles around the pool and also just left my cover laying on the ground and did not even ask where I wanted it.

After reading your review, I would like to take a moment to express my concern for any unpleasantries you may have experienced. I would have appreciated a phone call if you were at all unhappy with my performance with opening your pool. If I had forgotten an empty bottle, I do apologize. The chemical that I had you add to your pool (flocculant) takes about 48 hours to clear up the pool and settle to the bottom. You may have forgotten to set your filter to "waste" while vacuuming, which would have just restirred the particulates instead of removing them. With your cover, I chose to leave it outside so you could scrub it off before returning it to your shed. I did that intentionally. Once again, if you had just contacted me at any time, I would have been more than happy to answer your questions or resolve any issues, as my customers and their satisfaction are my #1 concern.
