I purchased a home on the inside portion of a circular neighborhood. Drainage through this area that is behind my house is steep and the ditch for the drainage runs through my back yard. Chris Warren and David Reese own the lots that are being developed in this area. Drainage initially cut a small ravine in through the area. This affects my lot and several others. Chris Warren attempted to move the ditch to the property line (effort failed), by directing his landscaper to grade the ditch, seed it, and then cover it with erosion matting. The landscaper ran out of erosion matting and did not complete the job. Since then, the ditch is eroding again and the landscaper will not return to re-grade and complete the job. I've made numerous phone calls to the landscaper directly and to Chris Warren. Both continue to delay in committing to finishing the work. Now we are getting into the hot and dry months of the summer which will make it nearly impossible to fix this 12 foot wide piece of dirt that they graded. The customer service with Chris Warren is non-existent. He has absolutely no capability to deal with you as a customer and makes no effort to react to a customer's needs. He has cut this ditch through my back yard after I closed on the house and now he will not fix it. Additionally, in my contract to buy the house, he agreed to sod the yard on the left side of my home. We discussed this some weeks ago and he agreed he would complete this. This too, has never been completed. Buyers beware on purchasing a home from Chris Warren. If you do, demand that $3000 be put in an escrow account to ensure he completes any promises that must occur after the sale. Again, dealing with him on a business sense is a disaster. Recommend you do not buy a Chris Warren home.
Description of Work: I purchased a home from Chris Warren Construction in March 2008. When the house was closed on, the back yard was not grown in and lots were being built on the other side of the back of my property. The drainage ditch running between my lot and the lot behind me was not mature yet. Now that that lot and others are complete, the drainage ditch between my property and those behind me needs completed and the developer states this is the responsibility of the builders who own those lots. (Chris Warren Construction and David Reese Construction).
