Worse than terrible They initially couldn’t fix the leak- that cost 200.00 for a leak worse than we had Then to “repair” it it was an additional 1000.00 They ran bright red water hose throughout my downstairs in my two story home plus a full attic. They advised me this was Better than the leak....... It was horrendous experience I have had two professional plumbers come for estimates to repair the mess they made. Initially they did not believe us this was professionally completed until I showed them the invoice today. Mr rooter was punctual However they showed no disregard to the poor quality The ninety degree angle was more like. 120 and the pex hose was hanging down from the ceiling there was so much slack. They stated they couldn’t run it in the attic or the wall because if it leaked it would ruin my Sheetrock But they’ stapled it on my crown moldings on my Sheetrock Absolutely horrible experience It’s now going to cost me an additional 1,400 dollars Wouldn’t use for anything ever again

Replacing a water heater requires a building permit from the city; I verified that the permit costs $50, plus there is a $50 fee for the inspection. Through my home warranty company, I was told that I would owe $150 for the building permit. So they have added a $50 "convenience fee" ... not ideal, but I can live with that. When they arrived, I conversationally asked if they had gotten a building permit, and they said, "Yes." I asked if I could see it, and I was told that it was at the office, not with the plumber. After the service was completed and they left, I realized I had not seen the building inspector. So I called the city to see whether a permit was pulled ... and it was not. So Mr. Rooter charged me $150 for a building permit that they never obtained. Instead, they saw that as a way to make an extra $150 on the repair.

My guest bathroom toilet had a leak in it and as a result my first water bill was abnormally high. I called Mr Rooter based on their good reviews on here and they were able to come out the next day. Derek was the plumber that came out and he initially did not fix the problem as our toilet was still running. I called Mr Rooter back and they sent Derek back out to fix it again and this time he completely fixed it. Originally, they were going to charge me for 2 visits, but when I told them that it was a revisit because it was not fixed the first time, they told me that the second invoice would be waived. I thought the price was a little steep for what ended up being about a 15 minute fix (that I probably should have done), but I appreciate them waiving the second charge.

Took care of the clogging problem. The only thing I did not like was they adjusted the toilet levels which I have been undoing. I would hire them again in a minute. They charged less than other similar companies while having better reviews.

The work was performed in a professional manner. The cost of 450.00 was quoted upfront. We were in a situation that required prompt service. I opened the drain access, and Mr. Rooter cleared the drain. About 10 minutes work. We needed the work done but seems a little costly to me.

Very quick install, approx. 45 min. They did leave small "spill" puddles of the rusty water when removing the old tank. The spots dried within a few days so overall I am happy with the service. I had to call twice to get the bill of sale.

They did a great job. Anything that she asked them to do, they did it. We couldn't be happier with them. My mother hired someone in early 90's to work on her commode. The job wasn't done properly due to which the commode got stocked up because the septic tank was full.

We called a plumber local to Smithville, TN and they came out and made a determined effort to clear the clog, using only a snake, but were unsuccessful. At the end of the second on-site day, we were told we would have to pay for them to cut thru the concrete floor and excavate the clogged pipe to replace it. We called Mr Rooter and Tracy Melton, the franchise owner, responded. Our house is about 60 miles from his office. Our house is also built with 1.5 inch wide pipes (not 2 inch) and Tee fittings intended for fresh water piping, NOT for a sewer system. This meant that Tracy couldn't get his equipment to make the "last turn" into the clogged pipe. He made a 2 hour trip when he left here at 6PM to get a smaller diameter hydroflush hose and nozzle, plus a video camera and returned the next day, but it couldn't make the turn either. At this point, I asked about having to bust out the concrete and replace the pipe. Tracy refused to admit defeat although he didn't have a clear next-step in mind. He did think of something else to try. Tracy bought a new hydroflush nozzle, and it was able to make that turn. He blasted that clog into chunks that floated past the video camera and into the septic tank. We attempted to pay Tracy after each visit but he refused any payment until the clog was completely removed. This was a fixed-price job, so he didn't have to wait to determine the total amount we would owe. He refused any payment until the job was completed to his satisfaction, which meant 100% of the drain pipes were scrubbed clean. He's friendly, courteous, professional and has the highest work ethic. He has our enthusiastic recommendation!
Description of Work: we called Mr Rooter due to clogged drain pipe that backed up into shower floor. Hydroflushed all of the drain pipes and removed the clog from a section of pipe roughly 3 feet long that was completely clogged.

We did not have a screen to filter out the big pieces that get into the water so they recommended that. That was to help keep the pressure regulator from getting destroyed again. Not only did they do the repairs I asked but they gave me some great advice and showed me what I can do to prolong any other further problems. I am happy with them. They did a great job. They went beyond what I asked of them.

On March 22 we called Mr. Rooter of Knoxville to come out and snake our sewer pipe because our drains were backing up. The Mr. Rooter service man came to our house and declared that the line was obstructed and he would not snake it and risk hurting his equipment but he called his office and had them bring a camera to use to look at the line. It was cold that day and he sat in our garage for an hour waiting for another truck to bring the camera. When he ran the camera he stated that there was no clog, just bellies in the line keeping it from draining. He then charged us approx $279 and left without snaking the line, stating that the sewer line which runs under our driveway had sunken and had bellies in the line making it not want to drain and that it would have to be replaced. For a week we gathered quotes for cost comparisons to dig up the driveway, replace the pipe, and re-do the driveway. After a week and a half of dealing with backed up drains and stressing over the thousands of dollars the repair would cost us, we decided to call a different plumber for a second opinion. The new plumber came out and discovered that there were very hair like thin roots in the pipe that had trapped moisture wipes and created a clog. They snaked the line and charged us $175 and said our line would probably be fine for years and years, that we probably should run root kill down the pipe a couple of times a year. Everything has been fine since. Thank God we didn't tear up our driveway. I expect my $279 to be refunded by Mr. Rooter of Knoxville, but since no one will ever return my calls it seems almost unattainable. I reported them to the BBB and they have not responded to the BBB either.
Description of Work: Mr. Rooter charged us $250 plus an "expert tax" of $29 to tell us we need to dig up our driveway and replace the sewer pipes. It was a clog. I've been unable to get anyone from Mr. Rooter of Knoxville to call me and haven't been able to get our money back. We were repeatedly told that a manager will call us back, but it never happens. I called the corporate office and was told that Mr. Rooter of Knoxville is an independent franchise, but that she would contact the owner and have him call me. Again, nothing.

Horrible. They came out twice to solve the problem (the drain clogged again within 2 days of their first visit), and they broke an entire hole in my toilet, rendering it unusable. They replaced the toilet and promised to come back and replace all the broken bathroom tile from where their motorized snake flailed all over my bathroom, covering it in sewage. After I made repeated calls and they promised to come have someone fix the tile they broke, they failed to return my calls or make a return visit. I lodged a formal complaint with the BBB of East TN, to which the owner failed to respond. I would warn everyone reading this not to use this company. Chris has a complete lack of honor and trustworthiness. He and his staff even tried to sell me an extended maintenance package on the first visit before they even did anything. Crooks in the truest sense of the word.
