Advanced Termite & Pest Control

Was told by companies represntative that we had standing water in crawl space (which we already knew). It was recommended we have crawl space encapsulated to resolve the problem which was done in Mar 2019. Mud was tracked on the bite barrier during installation. It became apparent after projection completion that it would not solve the water issue. Several cuts were made in the barrier in an attempt to drain water from underneath the barrier. Did not work either. Technician we were dealing with was terminated by company during the process. Another technician was assigned to try and fix the problem. He informed us that the water should have been removed and drainage system and sump pump installed prior to encapsulation. Had I known we needed a drainage system I would have contacted companies that specialize in water prevention. Filed complaint with BBB with no result. Company hides behind wording in contract and takes no responsibility for information told to us by their reprentative. Hiring another company to try and fix the problems we still have. I have pics that show the quality of work done.

The pictures that we were shown from prior jobs is not the way our crawl space looked when our job was finished. The material that was used to sheet the walls was not installed correctly and when the sprayer sprayed the walls the result was very poor and ugly. When the company owner inspected the final finish, he blamed the sprayers and it is very apparent that his installers did not install the sheeting correctly. No effort was made to correct the problem.

Advanced Termite had two people respond to my concern about the odor removal system that they had installed under the plastic of the encapsulated crawl space. After several attempts to correct the problem, they checked the Santa Fe dehumidifier for a functional problem that had surfaced with that unit model and been corrected by the manufacturer. There was a coil problem with this unit. The unit ran a long time and was not performing properly. They called the manufacturer and negotiated a new dehumidifier for my crawl space. They were interested in solving the problem and put forth the effort to satisfy a customer. I have used Advanced Termite for several years and they seem to keep informed on the latest in crawl space encapsulation. I would recommend them and did so today in a conversation with another home owner getting an estimate on encapsulation.

Installation went well. We did have a problem with the drain system that was originally installed in the home. It was backing up into crawl space, and the contractor had use it, instead of the new drainage I had installed. No big deal. Contractor responded quickly, and resolved issue. I was very impressed with the results. My crawl space is lighted, dry, and clean. Now contractor aren't afraid to work under my home. What once was a bug infested mud hole, is clean, and dry. I would have this done on any home I had with a crawl space. Nice Job!

First tried to fix at no cost but when that didn't work came out and replaced drain. The workers were gentlemen and explain what they were doing. Couldn't ask for better folks to work with.

They checked and made sure everything was okay and they changed the filters in the unit. I chose them because they were able to encapsulate as well as perform exterminating services if I needed them. They came out and did a good job. They did everything they said they were going to do. I havent had any problems and I have nothing bad to say.

There was a major moisture problem in our crawl space after we purchased the property. Over a period of several years, we hired several contractors to address this problem. It appeared that it was a new procedure that local contractors were not experienced in. To date, we have thrown over $32,000 at the problem. Advanced Termite seems to have the most knowledge and experience in Crossville for crawl space problems. They did a good job of sealing the support posts and insulating the walls. The vents were sealed off. We also had an odor after encapsulation. I researched that issue on the web and found a business in the North that specialized in encapsulation and odor remediation. I asked the foreman from Advanced to call that company. A large exhaust fan was purchased from them and installed. The fan worked very well. The installation of the fan had to be redone. The fan was attached to the main support beam of the house and caused a vibration noise. Advanced sent a worker out to adjust the fan position and the noise issue was corrected. I spoke with the foreman at the local home show. They are now using spray on insulation instead of the Styrofoam because of fire retardant issues. Finally the crawl space problems are solved.

It went fantastic despite a challenge completing the French drain. They arrived on time and started work immediately. The encapsulation went very well and I could almost tell immediately the difference. The humidity in my home was consistently above 80% the clothes in the closet even flet damp. AFter 5 days the house felt "drier" and the humidity never goes above 45%. The main unit is industrial grade but it is very quiet I have to really try to hear it even below the room where it is located. They converted a wet almost muddy floor in my crawl space to a usuable storage area thanks to durable plastic floor covering. Lights were even installed. They put the intial French Drain in simultaenously and it was completed at the same time. They instructed me to call them if any water at all came in to out building. The next rain the floor looked as if nothing had been done. I was disapointed and called them and they came down quickly to a**** the situation. They added more sealant and again told me call back if it leaked again and it did they next rain. They were as disapointed as I was. It was determined that the water was actaully seeping to where the wall and floor meet due to hydrostatic pressure. To alleviate the problem they brought in a cement saw and cut a drain just inside the interior wall. This was very hard job but they completed as quickly as they could. The owner is defintely engaged in the process he came an actually worked on the final French Drain hauling concrete out of the building. I appreciated up front that they told it would one month before they start a job. How many times have heard yes we can do it tomorrow when contacting a contractor only to wait over a month. They back up their promise and gurantee their work.

We had this company kill the mold growing under our home and sealed it. They did a great job and come back to inspect everything on a regular schedule. We highly recommend.

The house we purchased had a big issue in the crawl space. It didn't have correct ventilation. They sealed the crawlspace and installed a dehumidifier. They were very accommodating and they cleaned up after themselves. They did what they said they were going to do.

I would recommend them to everybody. They do a good job and they would even do extra. They’re always looking to help you out. They go over and above that is necessary. They clean up after themselves.

Originally I did not think they did a very good job, however, upon viewing my report on Angie's List, Advanced Termite and Pest Control contacted me to voice their concern and offer to remedy the issue. They came the past couple of days and finished the project to my satisfaction. I was impressed that they responded to my feedback on Angie's List.

We were very pleased with them. They were very responsive and on time. They were helpful and explained what they were doing and why they were doing. We would recommend them to others. We found them very competitive in their pricing.

The job was performed with a full crew of guys. They came first thing in the morning with all the supplies needed for the job and began work immediately. They worked efficiently and worked well together. The price was in line with other prices that I had received but I felt that I got more with this company that with other companies that quoted the same job. I have a lifetime warranty on the work and they will come once a year (for a small fee) to check the work, check for any moisture, mold or mildew and treat if necessary and change filters on the dehumidifier. Their work was very professional and I would recommend them to anyone.
