Great design and execution

Matt did an excellent job of listening to us and putting together a design that did everything we wanted. Anytime there were questions he quickly followed up and took care of the situation. They did an excellent job, and we would not hesitate to use them again.

More than 5 weeks after requesting the estimate, we do not have a complete estimate nor even a contract. The landscape architect did give us plans that looked pretty good. We gave them a $5,000 deposit. When we became impatient with the 5 week delay, the architect told us it would be another 2 weeks before they could start. At that point, we decided to not proceed with Landscape Creations and requested our deposit back. They refused to refund it unless we brought the plans back to them. My husband did so, and they still refused to give us the refund - but signed a statement saying that the check could be picked up the following day. I went to the office the following day and the owner told me that he would not give us the check. He further said that if either my husband or I were found on his premises again, we would be arrested. He said he would give us the refund, "probably in 2 weeks." I mentioned that I had read a review on Angie's List that stated the same type of problems that we had experienced. At that point, the owner told the receptionist to call the police to have me removed. I had been completely professional during this entire interaction, and I left. My bank tells me that the check we wrote to Landscape Creations had cleared a few days ago; therefore, I see no excuse for not returning the money to us now.

Excellent design concepts. Very responsive until they received the order. No follow up supervision during construction. The job supervisor only showed up when he wanted progress payments. The irrigation system was not balanced and the main valve was removed and replaced with used prt prior to completion. The site had to be re-done by another contractor to get it to work properly. Many low spots in the landscape, which caused excessive water build up. They refused to correct. Trees and plants were left on the site, unplanted. The concrete driveway and patios were well done, Two cedar gazebos were well constructed. All previously installed drains from the house gutter downspouts were cut, causing water problems in a few areas. All of the piping had to be dug up and replaced by another firm.
