+ -1 moreHe gave me a slightly different (more expensive) quote and pointed out several things his guys had left out of the original. He couldn't tell me how much the AC unit would be until he went back to his office and checked, but he said he would call me as soon as he had looked up some prices, to give me a final quote. I never heard from him again. I haven't bothered to call them back. I'm still happy with the work they've done for me in the past, but they're obviously not interested in doing this job for me, so I'll have to find someone else. I've already started using a different company for my small plumbing and electrical jobs, as well.
Description of Work: I've used HAPS for several years for boiler maintenance and small plumbing issues and they've been great. When I decided to get central heat and air installed, I called HAPS and a few other companies for quotes. A couple guys from HAPS quickly came out and their quote was the lowest. Since I already knew the company, I called and told them I wanted to go ahead with the installation. I was told "the boss" would call me back to schedule the job. He didn't call. I waited a week, then called and reminded the receptionist that I was waiting on a return call. She was very nice and found my file still waiting for his attention and promised he would call me first thing. He didn't. It took another call from me a few days later to finally get a return call from him. He said he didn't understand the quote the way his guys had written it and would have to come see my house himself. So I made more time in my schedule for him to come out and look over my house. + -1 moreIt has taken 5 visits so far and the problems continue. During the first visit they damaged the thermometer and pressure gage but reported that they were unnecessary and therefore would not be prepared. After the last visit a valve was left open preventing the boiler from retaining water. They have, so far, not returned to repair their damage. This was home warranty worked.
Description of Work: They replaced some wiring, a transformer, and repaired a leak in the boiler system.
