Joe's Paving & Seal Coating

There were to be two inches of pavement put down, it was to be level and not halfway done. Mr. Joseph Lovell told me and my aunt he would do it for $4500.00 that day which was 09-15-2020. He also told us we did not have to pay anything until it was done and we were satisfied with the work. Mr. Lovell had me to fill out the name and address of the driveway which I did and gave it back to him, he then told me I needed to sign it, when I did this he said he need a deposit and I ask him how much, the amount was $3000.00 he said for the supplies. He was to do the paving that day, he said he had three sons helping him all had Joseph in their name. They left that day and I didn't see them till the next day. He came with some asphalt and no gravel ti put under it. He did not do the sealer are spread the dirt that he said he would. He brought the bill to me for the remainder of the account, which was to have been $1975.00. then he wanted to refigure the amount and took the paper to one of his sons to look at, this is when it got bad for me. Mr.Lovell said I owed him $5550.00 more for a total of $8550.00 to do a small driveway long enough to park two cars. I DID NOT ANYTHING ABOUT BUSINESS LIKE THIS. This company is owned by crooks and should have to pay everyone that they have taken like this. I can't even get them to answer the phone they know my number. He came by one day & said he came to seal it earlier that week but I was out of town & had he called first he would have known that. He promised to come back in a couple days but I haven't heard from him & I've called several times, even leaving messages but have gotten no response. Now when I call I get a recording that the number is no longer in service.

They sealed our driveway and later that night it rained and washed it all away. They guaranteed that would not happen. We called to report the problem and they kept promising to return and then wouldn't show up. They finally showed up and resealed it for us. They were unprofessional and not very kind.
