 + -1 moreHe took a check for supplies, cashed it the next day and never returned-told our attorney for almost a yer different days he would meet with him and never did show up. We found out this is not the first time he has done this to someone.
Description of Work: We gave him a check for $900 plus dollars and with an attorney it took us almost 1 year to get our money back. He never came to do the work-story after story!!!!

 + 0 moreMr. Jeffrey L. Birdwell came to our home three times and gave us an estimate for a vinyl railing around our porch and steps-we signed a contract with him. He said he "needed a check to buy the materials"-we gave him a check for $988. plus change which he cashed the next morning at a local bank in Cookeville. He said he "had ordered the materials from a place in Tullahoma, TN and it would be a couple weeks. The man that "recommended" him works at Lowes and he told us he priced out the materialsfor him there. That was the last we saw of him!! Every phone call with him was another dishonest statement. He really has a gift for dishonesty. So, he kept our money and never did the work or delivered any materials. Needless, to say we have an attorney. We are both senior citizens and both are on chemotherapy! Apparently this is his longtime history for him! He has a list at the court house. Do NOT use him!!!!! (The work was never performed which is one of the questions below.)
Description of Work: No services performed, no materials delivered-KEPT our money in the amount of $986.66!!!!

Description of Work: Jeff Birdwell tore my wall down in my bedroom, and tore shingles on my roof off and never fixed them. My house is still in shambles!
