Courteous and efficient

I called based upon the reviews here. I believe it was a cell phone that I reached. I left a message and my phone number and never heard back. Unfortunately, this is typical for the Cookeville area. I try to use local contractors and service providers but it seems only out of area or the larger local companies are responsive.

They were absolutely the best electricians I have ever used in my life. They were great.

We were facing losing our house. We had hired 3 sets of electricians before Mr. Eldridge, and they had progressively made things worse. After we fired the last one, construction on the house came to a complete halt. We then phoned a supposedly high-end electrician before we had heard of Mr. Eldridge, and when that one found out others had worked on the house and done unacceptable work, he turned us down without mercy. Then we heard of Mr. Eldridge and gave him a call. His team came in and rescued us. It was not in a small way, either. We are thrilled to know him, for he and his crew did work as if we were part of their family, going out of their way to not only get the job done in a timely, efficient, and completely expert manner, but also giving us advice and the benefit of their experience. They helped us with questions about the placement of overhead can lights, advised us about a surge protector, gave us some good options about cable and phone wiring, and helped us with many other things. A good portion of the expense was for Mr. Eldridge to clean up the tangled mess left by the previous electrician. We feel we received extremely good value from Mr. Eldridge. There is absolutely nothing but good things we can say about him and his associates. We wish we had them as neighbors, and we hope to be in contact with him the rest of our lives. Closing thought: it may seem to a casual observer of this posting that we went through and put all "A's" for Mr. Eldridge because it was quick and easy. Not so. We looked at them carefully. He deserved those rankings in every category listed.

They were professional and courteous. Job was completed quickly and efficiently and they cleaned up the work space during and when completed. I will definitely use again for future jobs.

They showed up on time and worked all day. They did a good job replacing all of my electrical breakers and the inside of my electrical box. While my review says that the work was performed at their location, it was actually performed in my home in Cookeville. Unfortunately, Angie's list appears to want to publish my address on the Internet -- which I do not choose to do.

Left message for Gary at lunch time. He called back at 4pm and said he would stop by on his way home from another job. Gary and Tracy arrived at about 5pm to check out what was needed. Turns out an and quot;easyand quot; problem with a ceiling fan was caused by loose wiring on an electrical wall outlet hidden behind a cabinet. The outlet had severely over heated and was a fire hazard. They replaced the outlet and box and the fan is now working perfectly. They did an excellent job in a couple of hours without having to come back the next day!

I called Eldridge Electric and Gary returned my call in a very short time. We agreed on a time for my ceiling fan to be installed. Gary and Tracy arrived about 15 minutes early. My fan was installed quickly and professionally. The installation price was less than I expected and about half of what another electrician had estimated. They even did the work on a Saturday and no other electrician would agree to do Saturday work. I will certainly use Eldridge Electric in the future!

They were very thorough and professional. They came out and gave me an estimate and told me what parts to purchase. They were fast and precise. Very happy with the cost and the job.

Gary Eldridge is one of the most professional people I have dealt with. He is always on time, courteous, flexible and he is excellent at electrical work. He always discussed what needed to be done, how it would be done and the price prior to doing anything. He even cleaned up after himself!! Also has a great personality. I am getting ready to call him to do more work for me.

Eldridge Electric Service was quick to return my call for service. They were quick to service our needs in a very professional manner, with close attention to detail. They also completed the work in a timely manner and were reasonably priced. I will definitely call on them again for all of our electrical needs and recommend them to all of our friends!
