Well, while they were here, but didn't wire a designated outlet for microwave as she stated she would, & 2 outlets don't have power. No response to texts after job was considered "complete" & she was paid. 😏

We did not know what to do. We had spent $15,800 trying to get the electrical roughed in, and had less than zero to show for it; that's because any new electrician arriving on the scene would first have to clean up the mess left by those before him. Here is the lesson: once an electrical job is messed up, it is very hard to find someone honorable to come straighten it out; Incompetent or dishonest newcomers will come in to supposedly "help" you, and use the fact that someone previous had made a mess as a smokescreen to take advantage of you and hide their greed, laziness, or lack of skill. One has to know the right people, and unfortunately for us it took a while before we found Tracy Calahan. Tracy is amazing. She arrived and quickly got to work inspecting what had been done and evaluating the best course of action. She and her crew did everything perfectly and without any prompting from us. Not once were we uncomfortable or worried she might show displeasure if we wanted her to change something. Tracy and her team put in long hours cheerfully and without complaint. They worked with authority and knowledge and kept us informed all along the way. There was a happy, helpful spirit about them that made it a pleasure to have them around. One could just see and feel that they were good people. We did not have to worry about her wasting our money. To our shock, she even thought of useful ways to save us money without compromising the quality. She did everything exactly as I would have done ( I am an engineering professor ) if I had adequate knowledge in her field. It was as if we were her family and she was just trying to help us. Tracy is articulate, accurate, knowledgeable, efficient, and much more. Talk about taking stress off of us! Nothing seemed too difficult for her and her crew to handle. She also thought of things we had not considered. She mentioned that we could opt to wire in an RV electrical hookup with relatively low expense since the walls were exposed. She was not trying to sell us anything--this was an option we wanted to hear about, and we are glad she did. We had her do it for us. She is fair and honest, and just a very, very fine person. We wish she lived next door to us, and we hope to stay in contact with her for as long as we live in Cookeville. She is a class act. Final Thought: Years ago a good manager told me to not give a review with a perfect score. Always try to put in something a bit less than perfect, he said, for otherwise people will not believe it. Well, I cannot follow his advice here, for that would be completely dishonest. Tracy deserves the perfect grade in each of the categories listed. I would give her "A+" grades it there was such a category.
Description of Work: Tracy Calahan, along with Gary Eldridge, completed the rough-in wiring for our 3100 square foot house. It was a very difficult task, for we had unfortunately had 3 sets of electricians there before we met Tracy and they had made a complete mess of the wiring. We could not find any other electrician to help us, and we were facing a serious problem.

I called and requested an estimate to intall wiring for a dryer. They came and gave me a price and completed that job and also gave me an estimate to rewire all existing electrcal and ad two additional outlets. They returned and completed that work promptly. I am very satisfied with every aspect of my experience with this vendor.
Description of Work: I have built several houses, some to live in and some to sell for profit and have used several local electricians. I just bought an older home with all ungrounded outlets. These people worked long hours to rewire my outlets, install outlet in one bathroom where none existed before, add smoke detectors, and ran new wire for my electric dryer. They furnished all wire and other materials and did a very neat, clean efficient job at a very reasonable price. I will use them again.

Description of Work: Installed Hunter ceiling fan from Lowe's in amazingly short time. She works quickly, efficiently & is amazing to watch. It would have taken me HOURS, if not all day, to put new fan together out of the box, take down old fan, & install the new one. Tracy, the owner, did it all in less than an hour. She is such an expert, that it was obvious she had done this many times before.Based on my experience with Tracy, I would never let any other electrician in my house!! I've seen the messes she's had to fix & sometimes run new wiring, because old wiring had been done so improperly & sometimes she's found fire hazards.Tracy is professional, businesslike, but extremely personable & always has a smile on her face, with a "can do" attitude.Tracy has been doing work for me since I first bought my house in Oct 2003. Over the yrs she has:1. changed out ALL outlets & covers, plus ALL light switches & covers (changed from beige to white) & in many cases, she had to rewire mistakes made when the house was built 10 yrs before, by the original, incompetent want-to-be-electrician; 2. hung 2 ceiling fans in the basement to keep air moving;3. added electrical outlets, both inside & outside, being careful to use the required number of GFCIs;4. added ceiling fixtures in closets, where there wasn't a light;5. added ceiling fixture & switch for light over my kitchen sink, where there was no light;6. added 3 outside flood lights, this required all new wiring in attic, plus hanging the lights on corners of house; 7. added lights & a switch at the entrance to my attic; 8. added a whole house attic fan with temperature & humidity control in the vent in attic to remove heat & moisture; 9. added an extra light on far side of garage, thru brick & concrete blocks, to match light at "people door", so back driveway is well lit from both sides;10. added a digital wall timer for front porch lights;11. installed an outdoor ceiling fan on covered front porch, which required support, plus new wiring (no existing outlet);12. installed whole house surge protector at breaker box in basement; etc, etc, etc, etc.Anytime I have a new electrical "thing" I want or need done, Tracy can always come up with a solution. Sometimes, I'll just be thinking out loud about something, and she will say, "I can do that." Her answer to most of my questions, and/or requests is, "not a problem". Tracy always texts or calls to let me know she is on her way; she works efficiently, but has never taken shortcuts. Tracy's always been careful to keep up to date on electrical codes in both city & county, which tells how much she cares about her craft. Tracy has also done quite a bit of work at our barn in White County, where the previous owner had done his own wiring, some of which was definitely NOT up to code.

We just recently moved into this house and desired to add a few touches. Outdoor outlets strategically placed are a great convenience, and ceiling fans are a wonderful power saving tool to keep from having to use A/C all the time in the summer. When we decided it was time to hire an electrician I first contacted one I knew from my volunteer work with Habitat For Humanity. In the past two years I've been first-hand witness to her work on the job site (most of which she donates to HFH). Her knowledge and conformance to codes as well as her dedication to good quality work led me to hire her for the job at our home. The person who reads this will no doubt want to know the answer to three basic questions: Is the contractor qualified and dependable, Does the contractor price their work fairly?, and Will the contractor perform in such a manner that I will want to hire them in the future? For us, the answer is YES to all three. In addition, Ms. Turner is a good communicator and offered suggestions/alternatives to our initial plan based on her experience. We were very satisfied with the work done and the fairness of the cost.
Description of Work: Remodel job details...... Installed/performed the following: ceiling fan w/remote controls in breakfast area, receptacle on front porch, two receptacles on deck, eave-mounted security lights at each end of house, rewire MBedroom switches for lights and fan, pair of can lights in MBedroom, two pair of can lights in living room, GFCI in kitchen, vent fan in MBathroom, rewire ceiling fan in living room to replace traveler wire with direct power feed. All installations were new, not replacement. Cost included parts and labor.
