Bought a home in May, knowing it needed a new roof. Called three reputable roofing contractors to bid on the new roof. One still hasn't shown up, one sent a contract after a week of calls, and Allan's presented a bid when they said they would. I discussed my requirements and options with Lincoln (6-nails per shingle, ridge vent, filling old vent holes, lead shields for the sewer vents....), checked the schedule and made the deal for Monday 5/20/13. The materials showed up the Friday before, and the crew arrived 0800 Monday, as they promised. The roof was stripped, felted, new drip edge installed, re-shingled, ridge vented, property policed and THOUROUGHLY cleaned by 8 PM the same day. It was a pleasure to have Clay and his team for the day....I wish I had more work for them! No and quot;boom-boxand quot; blaring....just a competent/happy crew doing the job right the first time....no drama....no crooked seams.....no and quot;it's not my joband quot;..... I could recommend Allen's Exteriors all day long without reservation.
P.S. the very next day, a bit of a blow arrived....wind gusts to 50mph. Trees, down, power out...you know. After surveying the and quot;newand quot; roof....not one corner of one shingle was missing. The entire roof was completely intact.....a further testiment to Allen's Exteriors and GAF Timberline HD shingles. I will use both for my next roof!

The estimator was out quickly to look over the job. However, it took a bit longer than expected. The company also lacked communication. They're a smaller outfit and don't have enough help to regularly answer and return calls. I understood that they would be busier than normal due to the amount of hail damage in the area, but I just wanted to be kept in the loop. I had to really press the issue to even get a start date. This in no way impacts their workmanship, as they had 9 guys working diligently to complete the roof in 2 days. They also left the work site as they found it.
