REEVES AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING

Like so may others these guys were introduced by the home warranty company when I purchased the home. First off the tech was several hours late, secondly he started his review by saying the air filter was dirty and caused the water buildup. So I looked at the filter and while it wasn't new it wasn't horrible (Ive seen much worse) so I called him out on that BS, so he went back upstairs and said the issue was blockage in the drain line- and we needed to clear that as regular maintenance to the AC unit -$100 out the door with nothing done. this guys was completely incompetent. Turns out after you actually look at the unit - the upper pan was not seated correctly and water was coming out around the drain line and Tswitch that would have stopped the unit before the lower pan filled with water - but hay he got paid....

Similar to other reviews, this company is contracted by our home warranty, which we have since canceled. It was hot and two weeks after initial visit, we still had no info on when our unit would be replaced and had discovered furnace was dead, too. Called repeatedly and was told a day that was three weeks from initial visit, temps in 90s, and that someone needed to be home essentially all day. Said they were "very busy"...in October! Pressed to find out what unit was being put in that we had waited so long for and it was complete garbage. Canceled warranty, canceled service, had another company replace both for a reasonable price within 72 hrs. Reeves technicians seem decent, had replaced freon twice before, but company is poorly run. Much better options available.

The guys did the job on the repairs but they were as far as the charges they were not very reputable and I think they were dishonest. We had to replace the coil on my air conditioning and it was going through the warranty company but for the charges that was a bit high but I was okay with the non covered charges. For the price of the coil itself they really gorged us on the price of the coil because we did some research and found that they were two and a half times most coils. Most of the prices were about two or three times and not more than $400 or $500 at most and they charged us $1400 for it. So when we tried to get clarification afterwards they said that they were trying to figure out a way to avoid the discussion that the prices vary from time to time and from me doing research online I was able to find a number of coils that were less than a quarter of what they were charging. They are a really very shady company. As far as with the install the guys did a descent job.

All went well, even though Derek showed up 4 hours late! However, because he was coming on a Sunday after the hottest days ever, I forgave him! One never knows how long these jobs will take until they're looked at and diagnosed. He found my problem right away, replaced the burnt out part, and in 5 hours my upstairs temperature went from 99 to 78 degrees! Reeves was sent by my home warranty company, and after reading the previous reviews, I was concerned. But Vernita in the office was very nice and pleasant to talk with, and Derek was very nice and professional as well.

The tech came when stated and was able to tell that the unit needed freon. Was very professional and gave a price for the service. The price given was $175 for the call, freon and servicing of the unit. We agreed and in about 30 mins, the work was completed. Was able to talk to the tech, while the freon was being loaded into the unit. He explained the process and gave some tips on how to better cool the upstairs media room, without adding another unit for that room. Couldn't ask for a more easy or painless visit. I will call again for any heating and HVAC issues. I feel that I can trust what they say, and I know that they aren't trying to over charge. Thanks.

I didn't like them. I was forced into using them. They are the place of choice for the warranty company that I have and every time I have used them, I had nothing but problems. I would not recommend them. It wasn't under the warranty because they insisted that I have to clean something in the attic or they couldn't finish it. I ended up having to pay them $500 and it wasn't necessary. They came out and they insisted that they clean the air conditioner condenser. It has just been replaced and so I knew that couldn't possibly be. My husband cleans it all the time outside. They made a huge deal out of this and I've gone back and forth with the warranty company. They charged me $100 to come out and he spent about 2 minutes and he sprayed it out with our hose. I had to pitch a fit and they ended up paying me back. I would not recommend them to clean my dog dish. They've been extremely rude when I turned them in to the warranty company. It didn't make any difference I'm sure. I don't want them and I'll never use them again. They were trying to appease me when they gave me the money back, but the damage was done. Their true colors had come through with the company. It was such an ugly deal. I really can't find anything positive about it other than they showed up, and all the reason they showed up is they were going to get paid. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. On the actual visit, they didn't know what to do with our system. They didn't admit it and as a matter of fact, they messed it up. This wasn't the first time that they had come out. We've been unhappy with them every time they had come out. I had even said that I didn't want them to come out, but the warranty company said they were the ones who had to come first. They were pleasant and the guys that came out even though they didn't know how to do it, they were not ugly but the other people were. The female portion of the owners and the one who handles the calls and sets up the appointments was extremely rude. If it's not part of their way then they get worse, and anything questioned was like we were the stupid ones and we had to do this, we had to do that.

They also put in a condensor. They are very honest and dependable. They are very fair. I have three units and they checked each one of them.

From the point where the warranty company initiated contact with Reeves, I waited 2 days for someone to call to schedule a service appt. After calling them twice, I finally got an appointment scheduled, and technicians were dispatched the next day. Throughout the process, the technicians were polite and competent, but dealing with the office was a nightmare. Most of the office staff, when I could get them on the phone, were extremely rude, and claimed that equipment was ordered and would "be here tomorrow." I went back and forth with the office staff for 6 weeks before finally getting a call one morning that the part was finally in, and an appointment was scheduled. Once the new unit was installed, everything has worked fine. I suspect the company got more business than they could handle, and were understaffed at the office under a mountain of paperwork. I would not recommend them if you have a choice in HVAC contractors.

When I called this company they were right on time for the scheduled day. I was very pleased with the service and I would definitely hire this company again because they make sure to do quality work. If there is a mistake they will have no problems coming and fixing it right away. We use a home warranty company that saves us money so that we only had to pay a deductible for the service that this company provided us.

The workers were very nice but they did lousy work. They tried to fix my air conditioner but did not succeed. They did a horrible job, when they left my air conditioner still didn t work so I had to call another company.

I called a friend with some knowledge, and had said that our unit was overflowing with Freon and needed some drained off. This was a real simple fix. So that company got paid a $55 deductible for doing nothing. They either lacked training or were trying to inflate the repair bill.

I'm sure glad this much work was under my warranty because they did an awful lot of it. They had to tear the whole air conditioning unit apart and it was just hard work. They did a great job though. My air conditioning unit worked like a freezer after they got done with it.

I wasn t there for the pressure test, so there is not much I can say about Mr. Reeves personally. He provided me with a written report for the closing on my home. Everything was perfect and the house sold with no issues at all. His prices were also very competitive.
