About us

We provide computers, parts, accessories as well as computer and networking services to small and medium businesses and residential customers. We carry Lenovo, Dell, and Toshiba computers as well as our custom built desktops. All custom built desktops come with a 3 year parts & labor warranty. We carry HP and Epson printers and ink/toner. We have a variety of parts and accessories including motherboards, CPUs, memory, video cards, power supplies, cables, peripherals, and accessories. In store, we service laptop and desktop PCs. We charge a flat labor rate for all work performed (diagnosis, repair, data recovery, etc.). We offer standard (first-in, first-out) service for $89. We also offer expedited service for $149. For residential and business on-site service, the time is billed at $129 per hour. We service computers, wireless and wired networks. We service client PCs, servers, wireless and wired networks, VPNs, and PC-based POS systems.

The owner, Frederick Patton is aware I take care of my Autistic brother and that it is imperative he be able to reach me. Today the 15th, the owner's solution is: replace the logic board which won't arrive until next Monday (9 days without phone) or refund the money I paid for the screen and another $150 - which isn't enough to replace my phone. Mr. Patton has so far felt it unnecessary to talk to me. The technician recommended I buy a cheap flip phone until my phone is repaired. He also thought I could use my upgrade and buy a new phone. Is this good business practice? Do you want to bring you computer, phone or other technology here to be fixed???
Description of Work: I took my iPhone 5 in to have the cracked screen replaced. The technician broke my phone, it's totally inoperable.

The rest of the story: I was out of town, with nothing but texting capabilities. We purchased an iphone 5c from an employee's family member, lent it to her while we ordered a new board for her phone. It came in and we replaced the board, she returned the phone we lent her, and we gave her a discount for her trouble. My young men, mostly Collierville young men, do make mistakes, and when they do, we fix what they break. We however do not buy a new $700 cell phone, we simply replace the broken part. This is the same as a mechanic, if he messes up your engine, you don't get a new car, you get a new or refurbished engine. And no I was not aware of problems with autistic children (I have never met her or talked with her), being 400+ miles away at a youth convention for church kids. This statement regarding autisim is a low blow and is uncalled for. -Billy (Frederick) Patton

The friends PC was old and wasn't looking to spend a lot of money on such and old machine. Patton had the correct part in stock and the price was more than reasonable.

Did it on time and at the quoted price. The screen is not as accurate or responsive as the original screen but it is not cracked.

Their service was punctual and straight forward. They explained up front what the diagnostic would be, how much it would cost and an estimate of how long it would take. They have a and quot;rushand quot; service available as well for an additional fee. They actually called a day earlier than I expected to let me know the results of the diagnostics they had run on my laptop. When he told me what the problem was, he explained what they did to confirm their evaluation to be sure they were giving me correct information since the new was, unfortunately, bad.
Description of Work: I was having trouble with my 5 year old HP laptop. I took it in to Patton to have them look at it to see if it was worth fixing or more expense than it was worth. It was around $89 plus tax to have them diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, it was a motherboard issue that was not worth repairing. The two gentleman that I dealt with very knowledgeable and polite. When they called to let me know what the result of the diagnostic was, they were frank and to the point. I halfway expected for them to hit me with a heavy handed sales pitch to sell me a new laptop since mine was basically toast but they did not do that all. I appreciate very much their professionalism and attention to detail. If I have problems in the future, I will definitely use them again. I have already recommended them to a couple of friends who were having troubles.

Jonathan came in and quickly assessed the situation. He installed a new router with a wider range that help considerable. He offered to let me use it for 30 days to see if it really helped long term. He recommeneded that if this did not work I would need to relocate the modem. Within 2 weeks I noticed that the new router although helpful was not going to work for us. I work from home full time and need to be sure I have a consistant access. I called Comcast and had them relocate the modem (when they first installed it I was told it HAD to be located on the second floor). They relocated the modem to where Jonathan recommended and my problems were resolved. Jonathan came back out to the house and removed his router and reconnected my original network free of charge. He then refunded my money for the router. I would recommend him to my friend.
Description of Work: I needed someone to come to my home to help set up my wireless network. I had Comcast install a modem and router but the signal was intermitten thoughout the house. The actually had me buy my own equipment since theirs did not provide adequate coverage. I had to use two signal boosters just to get some service on the first floor of my home.

Description of Work: I engaged Patton Computers to help with connecting a work laptop to my home wireless network. In the end, the issue was on my company's end and the tech only spent about 15 minutes at my house. He was very nice and offered his cell phone to call if I had issues once my laptop was able to connect to my network. I have used them twice now and will use them again.

I then took it to Patton...they listened empathetically and then explained that "if it is a hardware issue, it's going to be $100-150, and since it was 4-5 years old it might not be worth it" I'd used them previously and they were fair, not salesy, and seemed interested in not having me spend money foolishly. [By the way, I purchased a refurbished computer from them that had come off lease, was faster and had more memory than my wife's for $300]
Description of Work: I'd previously taken my wife's computer to a repair company for "locking up"---paid $150-- I'd taken it back to them a week later and the problem still wasn't fixed. They kept asking me what we did to it, or downloaded to cause it??? Nothing. After the 3rd time I gave up on them.

My unit worked when I returned home. Overall it was a very positive experience.
Description of Work: Had a problem getting online in residence. Contacted company and spoke with technician, I think his name was Justin. He attempted to solve my problem over the phone, and when he couldn't he asked me to bring the laptop in and he would look at it. He ran a few text and was successfully getting online in the store. He instructed me to take the computer home and try and get on again. He further suggested that if it still did not work there was possible a problem with my in home network and advised that I would have to schedule an inhouse appointment.

Overall a pleasant and unexpectedly good experience for a computer crash. Everything went well and I am completely satisfied with the results and happy to know there is a qualified place to take my computer for service. They also, at my request, quoted a very good price on a custom built computer using top quality components and including a 3 year warranty.
Description of Work: Took an 8 yr old Dell desktop in because it crashed during an upgrade. The technician took my info and made notes as to the specific issues I wanted him to address. I choose to pay extra for the expedited service. He called when it was ready and he explained what he done. He completely recovered everything on the HDD and was able to clone it to a larger drive as well as adding more memory. Everything was as agreed and the computer now works better than new. Prices on the hardware are very reasonable (on most things equal to what you pay on internet discount sites when you consider shipping). The labor was a flat fee, either standard or expedited. The only variable is the cost of parts.

Company was very professional and punctual. After determining root cause presented options with no hard sell. Configured a new PC to our specifications and installed with new peripherals. Called on a Monady, they were out on Wednesday, new PC was installed on Friday.
Description of Work: Service call to determine cause of home computer failure to boot. Determined hard drive failed. Successfully recovered data and installed a new PC with back up memory and a new printer.

The on-site service technician completed the clean-up at my home, in less than one hour. The next day, I took the computer to their store to have 512mb of memory installed. It took less than 10 minutes.
Description of Work: I had work performed to increase the speed on my computer. Initially, Patton did on-site work to clean-up bad files. Additionally, I went to their store, to have additional memory installed.

Our computer was running real slow and dumping on us every time we would try to get on line. The guy at Patton Computer was so friendly and helpful that when he saw me pull up, he even came out to the car to carry the computer inside for me. They seemed to really know their stuff. They got us fixed up in no time.
