Luis and his team are wonderful! We experienced some water damage and needed to replace all the hardwood flooring in our home, including the stairs. Luis was professional and friendly throughout the entire process, from quoting to final cleanup. His crew showed up on time each day, cleaned up after themselves, and even came back after the work was done to ensure that we were 100% satisfied. Our first major home project. Classic Hardwood removed all the upstairs carpet and replaced it with hardwood. They also refinished the wood flooring downstairs. I found this company and felt comfortable doing business. I was given a fair estimate. The project was on time. Luis and the team worked well from start to finish. They kept everything as tidy as possible and were very friendly and respectful. Also, Luis was easy to contact and communicate with, if I had any questions or concerns he was helpful and reassuring. Choosing the final stain made me nervous but I am pleased with my floors and happy that I had a nice experience. I would use them again.

It was a month-long process, but Sean O'Donnell's knowledgeable, professional staff did great work. I'm a perfectionist, so an excellent rating is rare. I had several other quotes, including contractors recommended by my insurance company, and Sean, by far, was more knowledgeable in his approach to resolving my problem. Louis and Carlos were my on site contacts. I would give their work ethic an excellent rating. I asked questions and had many concerns. They very patiently explained the work as it progressed, let me know each day what their stopping point was, and when to expect them next. Sean was not always immediately available but returned every call. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Classic Hardwood Floors.

It was an excellent experience. The workers were punctual, polite, and professional. They gave good advice and did not cut any corners. They worked very hard, often on hands and knees. The result: Absolutely stunning "new" floors. The first time we used this company was about 10 years ago, in a different house. We were very satisfied then, and we were not disappointed this time around.

Sean's team showed up as scheduled and performed an excellent job on what looked like floor which needed replacing. Afterwards, they looked like new. Excellent Job and I would recommend his services to anyone.

Sean came in and looked at the original hardwood, and explained exactly what would need to be done. And, with confidence, he said the rooms should blend nicely. The workers came on time, sealed off what areas they could (we decided to stay there during the work), and were very polite. We were so very impressed with the way the floors turned out. The floors blended seamlessly.

I had used Sean before in my older house and the job was done to perfection. So when I bought a new home, he was the first call I made after the offer was made. He kept to the schedule as best as you can with variables. Most importantly was his team's attention to details. They do not cut corners and they take the job personally as if it was an art (which it is). They perform each step correctly and it looks absolutely perfect. He even helped me out after the movers scratches a few spots. Sean is the busiest man around but he still does a great job keeping up with all of his projects and his team's eye for perfection would be hard to find elsewhere.

When the guys first came out they pointed out to me to areas of dark spots in the living room and dining area, probably where floors had gotten wet under old carpet. They advised that floors might need stained to cover dark spots. However I believe in wood character and imperfection. We own some antiques and as you know they are not perfect. So I insisted on seeing floors after they were sanded. They were quite beautiful once sanded and filler added and they put down a little sealer to let me see. I said to them perfect, just seal. The floors in all rooms were beautiful, just as I expected. I think staining them would have made the dark spots darker. Wood is not perfect and my floors are beautiful even with a couple of little dark areas. I would most definitely recommend Josh and his guys. Nobody could beat their price and don't let someone tell you that their lower price means less than perfect, it does not. I could not have ask for a better job. Even when the guys called and said that one out of a hundred times is the humidity so high that the first seal is to wet to buff out the next day and they needed an extra day to dry. lol it would happen to me. I told the guys do it right, if you need another day, take it. The next day floors were dry they buffed out and resealed, beautiful. Just wish I could post pictures. All my friends are amazed at the transformation the floors have taken. Thanks Josh

Classic Hardwood Floors did an excellent job with stripping, staining and sealing the oak floors at our new house. Having spent better than 15 years as a residential general contractor and having built in excess of 300 homes, most with hardwood floors, I was very pleased with how these guys handled the bidding process and their price beat the other reputable subs who bids the job. I was, however, concerned when Sean O'Donnell suggested they get the floors done prior to the painters completing the painting in the house. The traditional approach, and approach I had always taken, was to have the floors sub be the last in the house as floor issues are harder to fix than paint touch ups. Sean convinced me to try his approach, which he assured me would produce not only excellent floor work, but also better paint finish due to the paint going on after all the floor sanding was complete. Sean was spot on...the paint job was great and the floors were perfect. To add to the stress level and complication factor we were out of town while this work was being preformed. Working with Classic Hardwood Floors was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The knock on residential subcontractors is lack of responsiveness, inability to adhere to a schedule and punctuality. Classic Hardwood Floors gave me the best experience I have ever had with a flooring contractor and gave me the best flooring job I have ever seen. I highly recommend Classic Hardwood Floors!

They were very helpful. I wasn't sure what type of wood I wanted. They helped me pick out a beautiful hardwood and gave me an excellent price. He is very meticulous in his work. During the process he provided a lot of information on different types of hardwood and finishes. He helped me make an excellent selection. I have gotten many compliments on the floor.

Our refinished floors are flawless. Classic Hardwood saved us having to install all new hardwood and preserved the vintage floors, which was our preference. They have the character of old flooring but are smooth, sturdy and able to be cleaned as if brand new. Josh was patient as I selected the color and the team was in and out quickly and quietly as we have young children. Sean answered all of my questions before starting the job and gave me a prompt quote when we were in a rush. I would recommend CHF to anyone. We have wood floors on the second story of our home that are in ok shape, but the process was so hassle free- I am now considering having those refinished as well. Also, we elected to use the Bona water-based sealer and couldn't be more pleased. There were no fumes and we could walk on it 2 hours after it was applied. Well worth it!

The workmanship was excellent and the floors are beautiful. I could not be happier with the finished product. The staff were skilled and took the time necessary to do an excellent job . In addition they were prompt and and efficient, but were also willing to take all the time necessary to answer my questions and assist me in making decisions about the finish. Very professional, and devoted to making the customer happy.

I was dreading having my floors done after hearing so many horror stories from other people who had theirs done. From start to finish it was a breeze. They were there exactly when they said, performed the work on time and the finished product was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to have their floors done. I cannot say enough good things about my experience.

When we purchased the 7yeard old house 2 years ago the floors were cupping. Poor installation on the builders part. The wood was not allowed to acclimate at all. Sean and his team refinished the entire house and did excellent work. Based on using this company 2 years ago and knowing the quality of work and the workmen were still the same ones, I did not contact another company for bidding. All of the workers were very professional and punctual. They are so eager to please and make sure they meet your expectations.

Classic Hardwood floors did an excellent job as follows: Arrived on-time Crew was very professional Crew helped carry a few heavy items to my garage They carefully removed and marked moldings They sanded floors for two days using equipment that vacuumed the dust The owner came out and helped us pick out stain color They stained the floor by hand using rags to remove excess Applied two coats of sealer Replaced all moldings. Classic Hardwood Floors did a great job and would highly recommend them.

The owner came out for an estimate about three days after I called, and sent me the estimate the next day. They then called me on a Saturday to make sure I'd received it, and was able to start the job the following Monday, which was great. Because it was so many rooms, the job took four days total, and it turned out great. Even professional contractors have been through the house and have complimented the job. The team worked extremely hard each day. The only caveat I have is that communication was rather lacking. I ended up asking for stain that wasn't on the original estimate, and no one pointed out to me that it would add about $350 to my cost. I still would've gotten the stain, but I would've been much less surprised when I got my final invoice. It would have been nice to have an overview of which type of work they were going to do each day and which services would add cost and which wouldn't. The team spoke limited English, so I didn't feel as though I could ask many questions. That being said, Ms. Linda, who takes care of the scheduling and money, is wonderful and if she can't answer your question right away, gets back to you almost immediately. I would go with the company again, and just be more pro-active with my questions.
