BRATS ANIMAL AND MOLE CONTROL

I am completely dissatisfied. He and I had a dispute because he sent his son out to do it. He was not feeling well, but his son did nothing. He did not know what he was doing. I told the dad about it and he said he would send him out again to reset the traps. So he did but he pulled them after three days before we had a chance to see if he caught any moles. Then he billed me for that reset and I had already paid for the original setting. I like this guy, but I was not happy. I told him I was not going to pay for it until he took care of it because he told me verbally he was not going to charge me for it. Then he sent me to collections without sending me any other kind of notice. I got a phone call from collections so I paid them for work that he did not really do. When he came out the first time he did such a good job at a fair price. I could not say enough good things about him. He did a great job, but his kid did not know the job as well and was not as thorough. So I paid several hundred dollars to catch nothing.

I have had a great experience with Brat's. He did animal proofing of our entire house about five years ago. I suspected something was getting in our crawl space under the house recently and he came quickly, set up traps, and sealed some places where they may have chewed away. He is very pleasant, thorough, and responsive. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Bratton was very thorough. First he and his son looked through our whole house (basement, attic, etc.) and then around the perimeter of our whole house and even under our small deck. He then walked me around and showed me exactly where all the places were that animals were getting in. There were many places once he pointed them out that were obvious, but in locations I never would have thought to look. He closed up all areas and left a few open with traps to catch squirrels, etc. A few days later, when there were no more animals in the traps, he closed up the rest of the openings. We had problems with mice, rats, and squirrels, and since December, we have had NOTHING!! Price was a little high, but totally worth it to know my home is rodent-free for a long while.

He came out to give me a quote. Very kind. Too expensive.

These guys are great. They're a father and son team that are very responsive and worked outside despite the very cold weather. The price wasn't the lowest, but they more than make up for it in value of their service and expertise.

I had originally found Brat's on Angie's List and have been using them for mole control in my yard. I have always been very happy with their work. I became aware of rodents in the attic and crawl spaces and called Brat's for their assistance. Ross came out and did a preliminary inspection of the house. He explained the process and I agreed to proceed. The two man team (Ross and his Son) arrived on time and got right to work. They spent an hour or two inside and then went outside for the balance of the day. They inspected every square inch of the roof, siding and foundation of the house. Several points of entry were identified and repaired. I was very pleased with the work that was performed.

Mr. Brat was very thorough in explaining things to us concerning the process he used. His visits were very unobtrusive even though he moved the traps around each time depending on observed activity. He assured us that our dogs (miniature schnauzers) could not get into the traps. To further ensure their safety and health, he remove all of carcasses of the dead animals. We were also quite happy that no poisons were being used that could bother our dogs or pets of our neighbors. We thought that for the services rendered, the fees were quite reasonable and will certainly use them again should the problem recur.

They did a terrific job. Very professional and thorough. I have not heard any more noise in my attic since they left!! The only negative was the total price.....a little pricey, but considering the time spent and the outcome of their work, it was worth it. I would use them again!

I became aware of Brats through a recommendation. Since they are members of BBB (in good standing, no complaints) and had very positive reviews on Angie's List I decided to call them for an estimate. Ross, who owns the business, came to our home the day I called to inspect the attic and provide an estimate. He was very professional and provided an estimate with a fixed cost based on what he saw and a variable cost based on the number of places that needed to be blocked/ repaired. He gave me a reasonable cost range based on the size of our home and what he guessed he would find. The variable cost is a fixed amount per repair, but there is no way to know what needs to be repaired without getting on a ladder and doing a detailed inspection. The final cost was within the range he estimated. Ross and his son scheduled a time to do the required work and they arrived on time and did the work planned. They email pictures of damage caused by the pests and pictures of their repairs. This is a great way to prove they have done the needed repairs and educate you on the damage. They captured the squirrels, flying squirrels, and attic rats and removed them. He also blocked entries that existed or were created by the squirrels. They followed up regularly to check traps and we are now free of attic pests. We will have to hire a carpenter/painter to repair some of the damage that was caused by the pests. Brats blocks entry points with screen, which can/will serve as a permanent repair in most cases, but some of the damage is wood damage that needs further repair. The only thing I believe Brat's could do to improve their service is to add a carpenter to permanently repair damage that is either visible from the street or that needs to be painted to prevent future weather damage. In our case, that is probably about 5 places.

I paid for each visit. They would come back and check the traps. They got the rats out. They did a good job and they were not as expensive. I do not have rats any more and another company sealed the outside so that they do not get back in. He was professional and I would use them again.

Provider came to my home, saw the evidence of mole activity, and set out traps. Returned several time to assess the results. I believe that they were successful in eliminating two moles. Apparently in the billing I was overcharged. I was surprised to receive a significant check from the company based on their noticing this error. I commend Ross Bratton for his honesty and integrity.

It was outstanding. I could not have been more pleased. They did exactly what they said they would. They were responsive. You get what you pay for.

Brats Animal and Mole Control are professional and competent. In total, over approximately a week or a bit more, they removed several destructive raccoons and opossums from our garden. They set out several traps (Hav-a-Hart type) in various locations around the garden. When we discovered an animal trapped, they would come by and pick up the loaded trap, replace with a baited trap, and relocate the animal. They saved our garden from these pests.

I think his price was very good and I like him. It was just an individual instead of a big company. He did a great job. He was very thorough. He relocated the raccoon and I was just very comfortable with that.

Out of 4 companies that I called, they were the best. They knew what they were talking about and guaranteed me that they would be able to find the problem.

Went out to get the mail one day, looked up, and couldn't believe it. There were two holes in our 2nd floor facia! Went up to the up-stairs bedroom beneath the area of the damage, and could smell rodent urine. Arug! Immediately pulled up Angie's List and found two animal control companies that seemed to specialize in animal removal (from attics). One didn't even return my call, but within a couple of hours of my calling (over a weekend), Ross Bratton and his son Ross (yep, there are two Ross's) arrived to evaluate the situation. They discovered squirrels had made a home within our attic. Below is a re-cap of his invoicing. 3/11/2013 ($68.00): Preliminary inspection/estimate - Attic street side exterior ground view - all droppings and footprints are from squirrels. No rat or raccoon signs -- ESTIMATE -- Full room inspection, trapping setup with all return trips for removal is $745 plus $12 per hold sealed to prevent re-entry. Vent screen is OK but thin. Digital pics taken of all entries and emailed to customer. 90 day full animal exclusion warranty/1 yr on all locations sealed. 3/12/2013 ($897.00 in total): Full roof/ladder inspection, trapping setup with return trips ($745.00). Sealed 2 roof joints and 1 main gutter entry at $12 each ($36.00). Install panels over 4 soffit/siding holes $12 each ($48.00). Paint all visible panels, customer to provide paint. Installed 1 outgoing trap and 3 incoming traps on roof. I was relieved they responded so quickly, and their pricing was in line with what I was seeing on Angie's List. Sorry we needed their services, but I was grateful for the job they did. Oh, they did capture one squirrel within 3 hours of setting the traps. The squirrel was taken away and relocated over 8 miles away. I love animals, but in all honesty, I really didn't care what they did with the little rodent. Squirrels belong on the outside, NOT the inside. I hope you never need this type of service, but give Brats a call. I feel you will be happy you did. Oh, and they are VERY nice! They even called me every couple of days to see if anymore animals had been caught. They left the traps in place for a couple of weeks to ensure none were left in the attic, and no others were attempting to come inside.

Overall experience was excellent. Wouldn't recommend even calling another company. This is a family owned and operated company very experienced, and they are not satisfied until the customer is satisfied. Great customer service.

Our job was removing an unknown number of squirrels, and perhaps other animals, from our attic, and performing necessary work to prevent animals from reentering the attic. Brats is a father-son animal removal service. After researching several services on Angie's List and the BBB, we personally interviewed 2 services and talked to another on the phone. Brats was one service we interviewed in person. Ross Bratton IV (son) came out by appointment and after an inspection, gave us an estimate. Brats charges for the inspection and for us it was $68.00. He thoroughly explained what work he would do, why the work was necessary, and stated that he would not do work that in his estimation was not necessary. He also outlined work for which that he could not give an accurate estimate until he started the job, primarily the extent of roof sealing, and gave a cost per measure figure for that work. There were several items on our roof that Ross explained were probably OK, but explained that he would give us the option to repair them if we so desired (we had one repaired and two left as is). The estimate was $585, plus additional charges once the job began. He explained the 1 year warranty and the 90 day full exclusion warranty (i.e. warranty that no animals would reenter the attic for the 90 day period). He also explained the trap and remove aspects of the job. Our job took about 5 hours for Ross by himself. He kept us informed of progress and let us know about the extent of sealing that the roof required. There were no foundation issues that had to be addressed. All work appeared to be correctly accomplished and there was a minimum of scrap, which Ross cleaned up at the end. After work was completed, Ross gave us both a written and verbal rundown of what had been accomplished, with email to follow. Ross repeatedly emphasized that we should call him if we had any questions or problems after he left. The total charge was $986.00 which we consider reasonable for work performed. .

First class job. Very professional.

We contacted them and they came out and found the problem and removed the problem in a timely manner. They come by about every 2-3 weeks to make sure they problem is still gone and we have a 6 month warranty

Excellent help. Ross (Dad and Son) were very helpful and professional. Caught one mole before they left after setting traps! Caught 5 moles in all, and honored warranty (came back to trap another mole) when it became apparent that more moles were in the yard.

He did a great job and I would recommend him to others

He was very nice. He took time with me, because I was so scared that I could hear the squirrel scratching in the walls. He made sure to fix the space where they couldn't get back in. For my income, his price was just a little high. I can't say anything bad about him because he was so good. He went over everything they were going to do and explained it all to me. He was very punctual and did a fantastic job.
