Description of Work: Craig cut down three trees for me. One had fallen partially on my house. He was able to remove that tree without doing a bit of damage to my house. The other two trees were very large and in a confined space. He was able to take them down as well. He was punctual and he and his crew were all extremely professional. The took good care of my property and worked quickly. I would recommend Craig to anyone and would not hesitate to use him again.

My experience with them was great. I stood and watched them from my second story window. They were like a little ant farm. They were very organized. There were about 12 men and there was a teenager. The oldest guy was probably 70 and the youngest was maybe 16. They were like a well oiled machine. They came in and cut the tree in pieces and off the fence probably within 20 minutes. I chose them because of their reputation. I would definitely use their services in the future too.
Description of Work: I used Craig Bjelland Tree Service about six months ago for cutting a tree that fell off. There was a really bad windstorm and one of our Bradford pear trees split and the main part fell on our hedge and our fence. It was about a 40 foot tall tree and so it was pretty serious.

Craig met us at the pre-arranged time, and we discussed our plans. He provided input on the condition of the trees and on how trimming should be done to maximize privacy and make them look nice. He advised removal of the leaning hemlock. I collected a few other estimates, and although his wasn't the cheapest ($1500), nor the most expensive ($3500) we were most impressed with his professionalism and method. He had a team of 5-6 guys and they would cut the trees in the backyard and drag them into the driveway in the front yard to be chipped and hauled away. Some other contractors wanted to drive their vehicles and chipper into my backyard, and some weren't willing to haul the chips away. The hemlock was removed by climbing and cutting rather than a bucket truck, also preserving my yard. He provided insurance and busines license on request. They did the job in less than a day. They chose a day when it has been frozen for several days to minimize damage to the yard. They cleaned up really nicely, going back to cut the stumps down to the ground and raking up the mess. They removed dead branches on all the trees, and trimmed lower dead branches so we could walk beneath. He used good judgement on which trees to cut branches higher and which to leave low to retain privacy. I was really surprised at how much detail he remembered about what we wanted, as it ws several weeks between the scoping and the job. They put down straw and seed in the yard where the stump was removed. They were polite and worked hard, and finished work exactly on time.
Description of Work: We bought a house that had been unoccupied for several years and the yard had become very overgrown, and several small trees had died. Half-acre yard, most work in the back. Large tree that was leaning severely was removed, numerous small trees removed (there were too many and some were dead), one small tree was removed and stump was ground, and many, many overgrown exotic undergrowth plants (privet, bush honeysuckle) removed. Branches from several evergreen trees were also trimmed near the ground so that we can walk beneath them.

They were fine but I found somebody who could do the job sooner and even cheaper. The person I chose went ahead and got all the permits to do the work and Craig did not even mention that at all. He was very professional and nice.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Craig Bjelland Tree Service, but I did not use them. The estimate was for taking down three trees and removing the roots.

We arrived home after a severe windstorm to find that our 40-foot Bradford pear had split, half of it landing on our privacy hedge. I chose Craig's estimate over 2 others because of his excellent reputation and reasonable cost. Next morning he and his crew of maybe 8 men--from his own teenage son to a man of retirement age--arrived right on time and set to work. They obviously know what they are doing and are all business--courteous, efficient, focused and swift, like a well-oiled machine. Even in the extreme heat they worked steadily with only brief breaks for drinks and were so organized that they had most of the pear tree down, and the limbs and debris chipped, within 30 or 40 minutes. Within 1 1/2 hours the site showed almost no evidence that a tree had been there--they cleaned up thoroughly, set the hedge upright as best they could, and even bent a kink out of the chain-link fence. I also had the crew remove an old dead gum tree from our property and clear the debris. Later Craig had a colleague grind the pear stump, as Craig is not equipped for that job. I am still mourning our tree but under the circumstances the outcome could not have been better.
Description of Work: Craig Bjelland and his crew removed two trees and had one of the stumps ground.

Showed up on time and started work immediately. Unlike other tree services we have used, these guys showed up with at least a half dozen people, everyone doing something. Methodically and safely removed the oak tree by removing all branches and then shortened the top so the main trunk could be dropped easily. Brought a towed chipper, a truck for catching the chipped particles, a bobcat for moving large tree sections and another truck to haul off the sections. Did an amazing clean up, even repairing dugout places in the yard where large tree sections fell. Put down grass seed and straw in bare spots where trees had been. Craig, the owner was great to deal with and all workers were polite and friendly. VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK!

Called and requested an estimate to remove a tree. Craig Bjelland came by when I was not there and left a message. We talked on the phone and established that he had estimated the correct tree. He gave me an estimated day. The day before, he called to confirm that he would be there, which was important to me so that I could remove my dogs from the area. A crew of 6 arrived early in the day and the work was completed quickly.

We have no complaints at all with the work that they did for us. I was over at a friend's house and watched them take down one of her trees and liked what I saw so I decided to use them myself. My husband had to go out of town that day so the owner came the night before to meet with him and go over the whole process of what they were going to do. They did have to take extra precaution on one of our trees as it was right on the property line and our neighbors had a metal shed there. It did cost us about two hundred dollars more because of the special measurements that they had to take to ensure that the shed didn't get any damage done to it. They did a great job of taking down our trees and we would definitely recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Craig and his crew cut down 2 rather large pine trees in my backyard. They cut them up and took the debris with them when they left. They did leave the stumps there as my husband is going to take care of those.

They had a great crew of guys and did a wonderful job out here. They had to cut this large old tree out of our house because it had fallen through the roof. It was no small job, but they had the equipment and know how to get it all done in a half days time. They were great about everything and did a good clean up considering the huge mess that we had.
Description of Work: They removed one downed tree from the homes structure and removed the stump.
