CHILDS PLUMBING

Daryl Childs is an absolute fabulous plumber. He does beautiful work. He is so ethical. He is amazing. He has been our plumber for 14 years. The first time we used him 14 years ago, he redid the pipes in our house. He did them in copper. He just about saved us, we bought a bungalow that was falling apart. He did a beautiful job repairing the pipes.

He is the best plumber in East Tennessee. We bought a wreck of a bungalow twelve years ago, and he did absolutely beautiful work on it.

He came in, reassembled the pipes under the sink, a then went onto the roof with a machine. He ran the snake into the pipe and a few minutes later, no clog.

Darryl came in and got straight to work cutting an access hole just big enough to replace the 3 ft drain. He had the entire job finished and completly cleaned up under 2 hours. This is the 3rd time I've used Child's Plumbing. The first time I had him create a new half bath in an existing concrete slab. The second time he replaced 2 shower controls. I will continue to use Child's plumbing because Darryl is a knowledgeable no non-sense honest contractor. How many contractors can you truthfully say that about?

Returned my initial call the same day and explained he would not be able to do any work the following week (since it was not an emergency). However, would call me 10/17 and set up an appt. If he did not call me 10/17, I was to call him. His office did call me 10/17 and gave me an appt. time. He arrived on time, went to work immediately and completed the job. I felt the bill was fair.

Everything went well. Returned my phone message within a day. (I had said the work was not an emergency.) Showed up for discussion of options and estimate on time. Called when he thought he would be 5 minutes late arriving on the job. Worked hard to complete jobs and cleaned up.

Childs Plumbing did a wonderful job. They were very responsible and polite. When they unclogged the drains, they put plastic on the floor in the finished basement so they didn't get the carpet dirty. They gave us a price quote and stuck with it.
