TJ's Plumbing replaced a section of the iron pipe in order to install a clean out so the sewer line could be cleaned, it was backed up. I felt $450 was to high I could buy the same materials they used at the hardware store for not more than $70 but I didn't have time to do the job and I didn't want to the job my self. In all fairness this part of the job was done right and other than the price I'm fine with it. But then they charged me an extra $126 to "jet out the line" this price is normal in this area. There service guy was telling me at the time of service that the line had roots and would need replaced and lots of money later I'd have a new sewer line. About 2 weeks later it was backed up again. I didn't like the high bill from the first job and I felt they were trying to lead me to believe without a new line I would need a clean out every 2 or 3 weeks. I called Roto-Rooter they cleaned the line out with a machine cut out a big wad of roots $135 no problems since then. The roots probably will grow back some day but why couldn't TJ's clean the line out right the first time? I think they just wanted the more expensive job of replacement. I asked TJ's to refund the $126 and the guy at the shop said he would talk to his partner and call me back, that was 3 weeks ago, I don't guess I'll be hearing from them. TJ's broke down my billing on the invoice as $210.02 for parts and $365.88 Labor. I would not use or recommend this company.
Description of Work: They replaced a 3.5' section of cast iron sewer pipe with pvc to provide a clean out. They "jetted" the line.

This is at rental home that we own. We made appt. for 6/25, & went to area and waited several hours. The serviceman kept delaying because of the job before ours. Finally, our renter could wait no longer & we reschedule for following day. The work does seem to have been done well. However, we could have purchased an entirely new toilet and had it installed for less than we paid, and possibly in less time.
Description of Work: Toilet with slight leak around base, and sometimes "running". Toilet had to be reset & some adjustments made on lift mechanism. They would not give an estimate.
