Description of Work: Put a new sink and garbage disposal in. Faucet and dishwasher were less that 1 year old. | |Very rough with all the parts. Ended up tearing dishwasher tubing while disconnecting dishwasher, and at first informed me that he would put it in for me after I purchased the new tubing for 40$ but after coming back as the dishwasher was not set in properly he did state that he would put tubing on dishwasher for free. | |At arrival he seemed irritated with me that I did not have all the parts. Went to the store with him and bought everything he wanted but on the second trip (to attempt to fix the tubing) he had me buy the wrong items that I could not take back. | |He did come back when called and set dishwasher properly. After he left the second time I realized that he had broke my faucet. He also threw out all the warranty information out with the boxes, I went through the trash to find them! | |I ended up replacing my own dishwasher's hose as I did not want him to be as rough with my dishwasher as he was with my sink, dishwasher tubing and faucet. | |

+ 3 moreIt went well. He got thru the list faster than I expected. If he wasn't able to fix something, he let me know what the problem was and what I could do to get it to work. Everything he did fix looks good. He also bagged up the old carpet and took everything out to the trash.
Description of Work: He replaced a ceiling fan and added a remote. He fixed a lazy susan cabinet that wasn't closing. He removed old carpeting from stairs. He also tried to replace a programmable thermostat with a new wi fi one but I didn't have the extra wire for wi fi so he had to put the old one back on. He looked at a pocket door that would not open because of the new flooring installed and gave me ideas on finding a flooring strip that would work so I could open the door. He looked at another cabinet that wouldn't stay closed and said I needed a new hinge.

+ -1 moresteve came to look @ the job, & that time, he gave me a price. i agreed to the price, and he said he would call me in a few days. he did call me a day or so later and stated that he was on his way to my home. steve arrived and installed the door. i agreed to his price; however i felt he was a bit too pricy. it took him just over two hrs. to complete the job. he swept the floor when he finished the job. i think steve could have been neater in his work. i don't think i will call steve back for more work. he is a nice person.

He replaced the garbage disposal, reset a section of siding that was blown by high winds, painted the utility room and assembled a cabinet. He started promptly and worked without a break. Everything he did met or exceeded our expectations. We will DEFINITELY contract him for other work as we need it.

+ 1 moreHe did a beautiful job on the carport. Only took a few days. And he cleaned up any mess that was left. The neighbors have all been over saying how nice the work looks. He also added some fencing to an existing fence on the property line for me. It looks great. My husband and I are very happy with the work and will definately use him again for more projects I have coming up. He helped plan the job with me. Went to the building inspectors office with me to get the permit. And helped with any requirements the inspector said was necessary to fulfill city specs.

+ -1 moreHe and his assistant were punctual, and courteous. Since the knee wall was drywalled, there was a lot of drywall dust. He covered everything he could in plastic and was very through in cleaning up after the work was completed. After the electricians re-wire the house and take out the knob & tube wiring, he will be hired to come in and patch the holes the electricians made. I also plan on hiring him again for other household tasks in the future.
Description of Work: Built stair rails and balusters for basement stairs. Built 3 ft knee wall around top of upstairs bedroom stairs.

+ -1 moreSteve was punctual to the minute - or even early. He did exactly what he said he would do and was able to prepare the walls perfectly for the painter. The job included removing wallpaper and liner. We moved the furniture and instruments and heHe covered them completely in plastic. The painter didn't have to move a thing when she came. In fact, the painter wanted his name to give to other customers of hers because of the quality of his work He is coming back to close in basement stairs for my neighbor and reinstall a railing at our home. He gets right to work and doesn't waste a minute.
Description of Work: Steve removed wallpaper and refinished the walls to prepare them for painting. He also hung an interior door.

Not even a phone call saying he couldn't do it. Granted the Quad Cities is a mess with flooding , etc but a phone call is impt to me whether it is a rejection or a yes, I don't care ! No response whatsoever , after we talked, doesn't cut it with us. Another thing, I do not like smoking or the smell of smoke on a person's body or breath and he was really bad so that was a double negative. Too bad too, cause he had a good rating on Angie's/

+ 0 moreHe was on time and very friendly and professional. When he went to remove the old faucet unit it was so old and rusted that he had to cut it off. While under the sink he spotted an leaking pipe that I didnt know was leaking. Also very old and rusted thru. He replaced the piping as well. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time and he did a good job of clean up when he was done. Im having him come back on another project that im starting soon. He was very helpful in getting the permit for my upcoming project.
Description of Work: I had a leaking faucet that was very old and rusted together. He replaced the unit with a new one. The old unit was so bad it had to be cut off. He did an excellent job. And a good job of clean up afterward.
