I just called their 800 number and they sent someone because it was still under warranty. They were easy to work with. It turned out to be an easy repair. They sent a repairman who was very efficient and a good communicator and direct.
Description of Work: I used Maytag for appliance repair. My washing machine wound not turn.

The only thing I can say in their favor is that they did take responsibility for the recall.
Description of Work: We received a notice in the mail to not use our dishwasher because there could be a fire hazard with the appliance. The notice said to call and verify the serial number on the machine. I did so and they sent out the replacement parts and gave me numbers of two companies who could come out to the house to make the repairs. The first company didn't come out at the appointed time. The second company came at the right time but it took eleven hours of my time to fix their problem. They advertised the repairs were free to the customer but my time is not free. There was no urgency with their work. It took four months for the whole process. If the appliance could have caught on fire, Maytag should have been more timely making the repairs. These comments are based on my opinions of this company and their performance.

WHEN I CALLED THEM, THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T COME OUT FOR ANOTHER MONTH. THEY FINALLY SAID THEY'D SEND SOMEONE OUT THE NEXT DAY AFTER I RAISED HELL WITH THEM. THE GUY CAME OUT AND SPENT LESS THAN AN HOUR, TOLD ME I NEEDED TWO PARTS, HE GAVE ME A RECEIPT AND LEFT. I CALLED MAYTAG AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME ANOTHER MONTH BEFORE THEY COULD SEND SOMEONE OUT WITH THE PARTS. I CALLED HOME DEPOT, WHICH IS WHERE I BOUGHT THE UNIT AND THEY REFERRED ME TO A WEBSITE WHERE I COULD GET THE PARTS SENT TO ME WITHIN 24 HOURS. I CALLED MAYTAG AND TOLD THEM I HAD THE PARTS, THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO FIX IT A FEW DAYS LATER. IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MAYTAG, IT TOOK 18 DAYS TO GET THE PROBLEM RESOLVED. I FELT LIKE THEY PUT ME OFF AND DIDN'T MAKE ANY EFFORT TO RESOLVE THINGS QUICKLY. I FEEL LIKE THEY SHOULD REALLY MAKE MORE EFFORT TO RESPOND TO WARRANTY REPAIRS, BUT THEY ACTED LIKE THEY DIDN'T CARE. IT WAS A REAL INCONVENIENCE.
Description of Work: I CONTACTED THEM FOR A WARRANTY REPAIR ON A MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR/ FREEZER. I HAD PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.
