My wife and I purchased a Maytag refrigerator and stove last year. Within one year, my refrigerator went bad, and we lost at least $300 worth of food. When I called to speak with someone about this issue, all they said is that food loss is not covered under the manufacturer warranty and there was nothing they would do. So how is it that the extended warranty covers food loss and not the manufacturer? It's a manufacturer defect!! They wouldn't work with me on it. Even just a little. The refrigerator has been out for days now. Today they called and said the part (compressor) is in back order. Then why was I told the part was in stock the day before? Now we have no refrigerator until the following Monday. That's over a week! I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM MAYTAG AGAIN. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE! TURN AROUND NOW!

THIS WAS A GIFT SO I HAD NO PROOF OF PURCHASE BUT HE LOOKED IN MY BOOKLET AND FOUND THE INFO AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANYTHING FOR THE PART, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN $180. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE AND SO FAR EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE.
