Although he was my 2nd choice among the 7 estimates I got I was very very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He seemed ready to listen to my ideas and in some respects I regret not hiring him. He got me the quote for the job really really fast. I would difinitely consider him for future projects

Sam Linville, the business owner and team leader, listened to our concerns about awkward spaces and storage during our initial meeting. We had some ideas of what we thought might work and he took those all in and shared his initial thoughts with us. He didn't try to talk us out of our ideas, but instead combined our vision with his structural expertise and came up with new ideas. He had a vision for our home that, as laymen to his profession, we couldn't see. A week later, Sam brought the proposal over to the house. We asked him to explain everything to us in laymen's terms. He walked us through the house explaining what his plan was for each room and explained why he would do things in the order he was suggesting. The order of work was so that a) we could continue to live in our house as comfortably as possible while the work was underway and b) he could combine certain jobs that would allow him to maximize the efficiency of his team. Sam and his team are professionals and good people. Whichever team member arrived on site first each morning would knock on the front door, wait for us to answer, and say good morning to let us know they were here. My husband and I both work at home and the Linville team were respectful of our periodic need for quiet too. They cleaned up at the end of each day and although there was still lots of dust (Sam warned us there would be), our home never felt like a complete construction area. The timeline was really important to us. We had a rather large gathering scheduled at our house in three-months and changing the date wasn't possible. We made Sam aware of our timeline and at proposal time he was confident he would make it work. After the first phase took several weeks longer than anticipated because of what his team had to work with under our old house, Sam reassured us that it would be complete by the day we had specified to him. Even after he started the second phase and we decided to make some fairly significant changes to the original plan, Sam said it would be done on time. To this day, Sam has never told us how he really felt about finishing on time, but in the end, on the date we had asked Sam to finish on, we were thrilled to be sharing a celebratory lunch with Sam and his team at our beautifully remodeled home. Sam never asked us what our budget was and we never volunteered it. We liked that because it made us feel that he was going to price his work the way he believed was right as opposed to pricing his work based on our maximum budget. We couldn't have been more right. We got to know Sam well over the course of the three months he and his team were working at our house and he is an unequivocally fair, honorable, and straight-forward man. We love our new home. And it does feel like a completely new home. Every square foot of our home is now useful and livable space. We have twice as much useful storage space as we did before yet it also feels like we gained living space. And we did not add on. It's really rather amazing. We would hire Linville Custom Design again without hesitation. If you're a seasoned remodeller or a first-timer, Sam and his team will insure your needs and wants are met. We would like to say a few words about Sam Linville and his crew on the outstanding work they performed at our home. We had two things done, first we had a carport re-modeled, which turned out very well, it was falling down and the roof was leaking, they removed all the old wood and replaced it with new. The old metal roof was replaced with a new leak- free metal roof. They also did a very big job for us. We had our front porch fully enclosed. Sam and crew performed flawlessly, they made this addition look just like it was built when the house was first constructed. The work they did was phenomenal; they used their time wisely and cleaned up all debris when the jobs were complete. Sam and crew were very helpful in keeping us informed on everything, they finished on time and anything we wanted adjusted, they immediately changed to our liking. This is a great crew, who provided fantastic work, had great attitudes, was prompt, and did what you asked them to do. You will be very comfortable with them working in and around your home. We highly recommend Linville Custom Design for all your construction needs!! You will be truly happy you did.

They did an amazing job. Everything was great. His standards were high is what stood out the most. He finished things beautifully. They worked constantly and worked great together. They were lovely to have in our home. I would recommend him highly.

Mr. Linville performed a beautiful job refurbishing our kitchen cabinets, moving out our old nasty 24" double oven, added more cabinets, were prompt, professional and displayed a very good work ethic. They cleaned up after themselves, did a great job and even finished a day early. We were very happy with their work and talked with them about other future projects that we are planning (and plan to use them for the work). I would recommend Linville Custom Designs without hesitation to anyone needing home repair/remodeling. The job was contracted through Home Depot and I really wish that we had known about Linville Custom Designs before going through home depot (because we would have done some things differently- like moving a wall out to fit a larger double oven), but not knowing any contractors personally and frequenting Home Depot, we went that route. Next time we'll call Sam Linville first. Home Depot had told us that their installers were Home Depot employees (gave us the big everybody is Home Depot family idea) and they do a good job screening all of their contractors, but Sam Linville is an independent contractor (a good one) and not a Home Depot employee (so they get no discounts or benefits from Home Depot). Sort of sad that they don't even give them any kind of discount when purchasing supplies, when they are screened, contracted and paid by Home Depot. They made a good choice contracting with Sam (and we appreciate the introduction to a nice independent contractor). Thanks Sam for a job well done. We'll call you in a few months when we've saved up the money to do our bathrooms too!!!
