Responded promptly, analyzed problem (bad cartridge), recommended brand for replacement. I obtained, called for installation. Again, prompt service.

Was very prompt, and was available to install garbage disposal and plumbing quickly when needed following countertop installation before a holiday weekend. Did a very professional job.

Can't remember exact price, but they it was a fair and competitive price. Overall effective, professional services. We will use them again. Provided 2 different services. First, came out to fix low pressure in kitchen sink. Accurately and quickly diagnosed problem, took faucet apart and cleaned it. Fixed the problem. Only partially fixed a problem with the sinkhead being loose, but fully fixed primary problem of water pressure. Second, hired them for re-routing of dryer vent under house to improve dryer efficiency. Based on their recommendations, replaced straight pipe (about 45') with pipe with 2 45-degree turns and a new hole through the brick out a different side of the house. Also replaced first turn from dryer through the floor with flexible hose to improve efficiency. Initial repair not done according to plan (put in 1 90-degree turn instead of 2 45-degree turns). Also vent cap at end of line not properly secured into the brick. Returned the next day to fix the problem and finish job according to original plan. Dryer works great now and vent cap properly attached. Ralph Farkus (owner) is excellent. His hired help has made some mistakes but are conscienscious and not lazy/sloppy (seems to need to learn more but is dedicated to working well). Overall very satisfied with both kitchen sink and dryer vent. Previously consulted with Ralph Farkus regarding water heater problem. He was very knowledgeable - didn't use his services for water heater only because home warranty company required a different service provider. Would recommend Above All Plumbing for a variety of plumbing-type home repaires without reservation.

All the plumbers were courteous and I felt safe with them in my house. They were very good about calling me back and came by when they said they would. The price was not cheap but they did do good work. I thought that something was wrong with the handles in my shower because the shower head will drip after a shower. I was really turning them off real tight and thought they had to be replaced. Ralph was nice enough to tell me that I did not have to fix the handles in my shower and he explained why - he was right, they work just fine and now I know that I don't have to crank the life out of them. I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to replace something that wasn't broken. He was also very honest with some other thoughts I had about future projects, he's not looking to try to get more money out of you than you really need to spend.

The short version is that Ralph Farkus (Above All Plumbing) demonstrated high levels of expertise by properly diagnosing problems on my water heater over the phone. He also demonstrated excellent customer service by dedicating time and energy to my questions even though it was unlikely that he would make money by working with me (as I was already working with another plumber). I called Ralph Farkus at Above All Plumbing. Explained that I needed advice and possibly service regarding my hot water heater. Explained to Ralph that I had another company working on my hot water heater but did not trust that the work they were doing or diagnoses they were reporting were correct. Just based on my description over the phone, he was confident that I was correct that my problem was likely related to the thermocouple, that I did NOT having a "venting" problem with the water heater, and that 2 pieces of service done by the other plumber could have contributed to the ongoing problems I was having. When my problem was eventually resolved, it was determined that Ralph's assessment of the situation was accurate. Ralph provided his professional opinion and dedicated time and attention to my situation even though the likelihood was low that he would make money from working with me. I wish I could have given business and money to Ralph, so I hope to accomplish that goal by referring, without hesitation, anyone who reads this to him.
