Good communication. Reasonable pricing. Work was done well.

Everything sounded great at first, however, there were multiple issues as follows: 1) We were told our project would commence the following week after the quote- it kept getting pushed back, and there was little communication unless I reached out myself. He even seemed annoyed by me reaching out at one point even though I was just trying to see when the job would be started. 2) The quoted price was reasonable, but he added about $2000 at the end of the project because he did not realize the extent of the project initially. This would have been fine, but he never told us how much more it was going to cost until the very end when we had no say in the matter. We may have never proceeded with the project had we known what the final cost would be. 3) He said he was going to be doing the work himself, but the vast majority was done by hired people. This was a misrepresentation and felt like he was more of a contractor/middleman- not what we were looking for. 4) We had to have him come back several times to review some shoddy areas of work. He expected us as the homeowners to find any flaws rather than checking his employees work himself. Even after coming back out twice, I am still finding areas that were not completed properly. Overall, Carlos is a very nice person but we were disappointed by the poor communication, subpar work, and high final cost of the project.

They also reworked part of the cabinet, did a lot of painting and have some more work ahead. I would hire them all my projects. They are honest, dependable and their work is excellent. I have already referred him to several people and will continue to do so.
